Perfect for Ford FLEX.

I work in a cubicle all day and I love eating in my car to get a bit of fresh air. I was kind of hesitant about this fitting. However, it fits my Ford FLEX perfectly with the steering wheel upright (no need to turn it upside down like previous reviews...it actually will not fit if it's upside down). 4 stars because the pic advertises a dark-charcoal colored "desk" and the one I recieved is a light grey. The box even advertises the 3 colors blue, orange & black. Weird.

My interior is black so I was hoping for the darker colored "desk" so it'll match.

If you are on the go, then this product is for you. I ordered this for our car and it has been invaluable ever since. The table is lightweight, yet very sturdy. My husband LOVES not having to balance a meal upon his legs. It even has a little spot made for a drink cup. I have used it while waiting at a doctor office to do my crossword puzzles on. It slips right on the wheel and is very stable. When not in use, just slip it behind or under the seat. I just wish there was a steering wheel on the passenger side of the car so that we could use two at mealtime on the road!!!! Both sides have a "well" in it - I like this feature, if you spill a bit it does not go on your lap or car seat. The other side also has a narrow groove with a built in "clip" that holds a pen quite nicely. We are so pleased with this product that my mother, sister, adult nieces and nephews will all be getting one this Christmas. Very well made and nice price too!!

Yes it's weird but dang it's handy. I drive for work and my truck is my office so eating lunch on the road is an everyday thing. Got sick of balancing my tupperware of leftovers on my lap and tried this tray. I turn my steering wheel upside down and lock it in place and this thing hangs perfectly from it. Very stable and just the right height. I put a glass tupperware bowl on it full of food, probably about 2-3 pounds and it is very stable. The cup indentation is perfect to put my phone in and balance it against the steering wheel so I can read my phone while I eat. You can flip it over and use the opposite side when you spill too much soy sauce on it and don't feel like cleaning it yet and the stains and stuck rice make you feel lazy. Ask me how I know...

Absolutely love this thing. It looks like an item you can live without. But if you work out of your car it is a must have! Splurge and get it, it will make your life so much easier. I am a home health nurse that has to use an Ipad for everything. My Ipad has a case that flips open to a stand but trying to balance it in my lap is hell. I saw this and decided to try it, now I can't live without it.

Works great, easy to use, just slips right on and right off. I've had it holding a 17" laptop without any issues. I had to flip it over and use the side without the cup holder, then the grips on the bottom worked perfectly and it didn't slide anywhere. This thing is a life saver!

Works on the Ford Escape (2014)

The best way to use it on a Ford Escape (2014) is to turn your steering wheel upside down after parking. The tray slips on instantly and is almost perfectly level. I raise my seat (electric) to the top height, then slide it backwards most of the way. This creates the best dining experience. Edit: I just realized it fits on great with the steering wheel turned just a bit in either direction. (I kept forgetting to turn my steering wheel upside down before turning the engine off and realized it fit great with the steering wheel just a bit to the right)

Got email request from these folks asking me to review this product in the name of providing good customer service, while I can appreciate the sentiment sometimes its better to leave well enough alone.

I drive a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and work out of it. The product looked like the perfect thing for meals and paperwork (laptop) on the road. Hard plastic looks durable unfortunately it wouldn't fit my steering wheel not matter how the wheel was positioned. Hassle to pack up and send back. My granddaughter uses it to serve "tea" during parties.

Great for a Variety of Uses

Really like this - it fits very snugly on the steering wheel and stows away easily when not in use. I keep it in the seat compartment directly behind the driver's seat, but it would also fit wedged in between the console and passenger front seat, or under the seat as well. I haven't used it for a laptop or tablet yet but it's sturdy enough to hold one easily on the flat surface. Heck - you can use it as a writing surface in a pinch, too. For the price (especially), this is very handy and good to have in the car, especially if you're on the go a lot... or eat more meals in the car like I do.

I don't eat in my car very often but when I do it always seem to be chaotic. So in searching for auto trays I came across this item. I will say that I was skeptical of the product, but after reading reviews along the modest cost, I decided to give it a try. I have used it twice...and I am now a big fan. It fits my on my steering wheel perfectly. All of my food is right there in front of me. Easy to clean as well. Would highly recommend.

Useful for Taking Notes and Typing on a Keyboard

I pretty much work out of my car 8 hours per day. I use this tray mostly for writing notes or using my bluetooth keyboard. I haven't used it for eating, but I'm sure it would fine. I gave it 4 stars because while this product is useful, the tray does not securely attach to the steering wheel. I'm not sure I would place my food or drink on this tray and trust the tray won't slip or detach from the steering wheel, creating a huge mess.
