Sturdy opener

I could tell from the picture it looked like a SOLID DESIGN, and when I inspected the product when it arrived I was very happy with it. Anyone who has said that it will fall apart or is of low quality does not know how things should be cared for. I have a switchblade of my own and unless your paying hundreds of dollars for a switchblade of this style, it is not going to stand against heavy use.
Would definitely buy another for the kitchen. Great conversation piece. However it is not a heavy duty bottle opener, anyone with a functional brain could figure that out.

The lock is a little loose but this is a good thing. For when I put it in my pocket, gravity lets the lock fall into place. I do not know if this is with each product or just mine.

This was a delightful little gadget I picked up as a gag gift. What surprised me was how much weight it had. For what is essentially a novelty item, the makers went to great lengths to ensure their product is stunningly well made, recreating the look and feel of the actual Frank Beltrame stilettos on which it's based. Awesome job!

What an awesome idea! A switchblade bottle opener

Pros: Does what it says. Lockable. Obvious enough to not look like an actual switchblade (which is a plus where they are illegal) Confusing for friends who can't figure out how to close it, heh heh heh.

Cons: It cost me a little more than it maybe should have, New Zealand is pretty remote though, so that's kinda fine. It is also tricky to figure out how to close, but maybe think of it as a challenge.

If this wasn't as cool as it is, I'd be writing a negative review, but although it cost me quite a lot just for a bottle opener, I feel it was worth it. Would make a great gift too.

Bought as a stocking stuffer for my brother in law, he really liked how it looked like a real switchblade and came out like one too. My father in law wanted it. It was a fun gift to give.

I've used this dozens of times since I bought it. Of course, it never fails to open a bottle, but the spring isn't as strong as I would like it to be. It sometimes pops open halfway, without any interference with my fingers. Decent product, I recommend it if you want to impress a friend or have a little more fun with opening a bottle... or two ;)

Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

The bottle opener is actually very sturdy, as I was hoping.

The opening spring is kinda weak.

The handle is kinda cheesy and cheap.

But...it's a novelty item, so I guess I can accept that.

The handle is exactly like an Italian stiletto handle. The bolsters are not flush with the rest of the handle-body, but for the price it's excellent. When opening, it sounds exactly like a switchblade opening. The only drawback is how far the opener sticks out when closed. But otherwise, it's great! A great novelty and it would make a great stocking-stuffer or other small gift.

Works great, seems like it binds a little when closing but not enough to down rate it. Everyone who sees it has to try, then try some more. Does the job and entertains too. Worth the money.

Got this for my Dad's birthday. You know what, he was actually thrilled. Uses it all the time. Says is it holding up just fine.
