ARRRRRRRRR!!!!

We got our money out of this the first day that we put it to use! Kids LOVE IT! We did add the optional 'spring brake' for some added 'insurance'. 😊

After determining the slope that would be needed and placing some nails as markers, broke out my come-a-long and had it up and going in a couple of hours...would have had it up quicker had it not been for the 100 degree day :)

Conflicting Weight Rating

The warning label on the cable states max weight of 150 lbs and age 8 to 14 years. That's completely different from the 250 lbs and ages 7+ in the item description.

We have 8 small grandchildren up to age 8. They all LOVE this. I was worried the oldest would think it too juvenile, but I was wrong. The only problem you might have is having the correct distance between trees or something substantial at the ends. Carefully consider this. You will also have to have a good method of tightening the cable to begin. Before starting, back the turnabout all the way. When you then turn it for the finish tightening, it will work great. It takes a LOT of slack out. As another reviewer suggested put a pool noodle on the end if you set it up to go even moderately fast. We had some knee scrapes to start. I did the whole thing by myself, but get help to start. It really takes 2. We could not more highly recommend this zip line!

Every child should have this!!!!!

Oh my gosh! This is absolutely THE BEST! Bought this for my 4 year old grandson and can't even describe the squeals and laughter that came from him as he "zipped" across the yard! This is wonderful quality - no skimping with the materials. Everything you need to set it up is included in the package except a brake kit. The only other thing we purchased was insulation tubing to encase the cable when we placed it around the tree. The instructions are easy to understand and to follow and did not take us more than 20-30 minutes to set up. We set it up a bit low because a 4 year old was primarily going to be using it but it will be very easy to raise it as he grows. The nylon rope that attaches the seat is thick and durable. The seat is also sturdy. The rope and seat are already tied and attached but are constructed in such a way that you can easily raise or loser the seat, depending on the height of the rider (they need to be able to easily put their hand on the handles). This product is well thought out and well made. **We did purchase a brake kit (you can make your own) but decided to purchase the kit made to go with the product and found it extremely well made as well and very easy to attach to the zip line. You are told to periodically check the bolts just to make sure everything stays tight. Very pleased with the quality of the product. This one can hold up to 250 pounds and there were some adults who tried it out and it held very well. My grandson would not get off - he rode it constantly until he wore himself out. Have your cameras or phone ready to take videos ---- laughter and squeals will make priceless memories!!!

Rip Roaring Good Times

This was easy to set up. I drilled holes through five tennis balls and threaded them through the cable to use as a cushion for stopping. My boys are 8, 9 and 11 and they all love it. So does mom. I only wish we could zip even farther, but our back yard is only so big. It's provided hours of great fun.

The grandkids love it!

I used a cheap Harbor Freight 1 in. x 15 ft. Ratcheting Tie Down to take the slack off cable so it is super taut!

It even supported my test load (me at 320 #s) I KNOW it is above recommended weight of 200#s, but I wanted to make sure it was safe for the 4 year olds! I cut up an old hose to protect trees and also as a stop (much cheaper than the commercial one! (just split 6 feet of hose and put over end of cable and close up slit with duct tape! The turnbuckle works for minor adjustment, but is you make a small loop on end of cable with an extra clamp and use the ratcheting tie downs to stretch the cable. Very quick and easy to install, I am lucky that my installation area has a slope of 3' over the 90 ft, so I installed the cable at 10' off ground on both ends. No need for a launching platform.

I also took a Little Tikes 2-in-1 Snug 'n Secure Swing Blue from the swing set and attached it with a snap hook to even allow the 2 & 1/2 year old get in on the fun!

Won't last long--- buy local
by Shari (1 out of 5 stars)

We purchased this for our kids for Christmas. It was great at first, but rusted very quickly. The cable has eventually snapped and we haven't even had it for 7 months . When I contacted Amazon they would not offer an exchange because it was beyond the Amazon time frame. They offered to give me the Slackers warranty number, but gave me a video game company number that had nothing to do with this product. Just make sure you keep the manual and do not expect to get helpful info or an exchange from amazon, if the product wears out within a couple of months. I really think we had a randomly defective product and we simply wanted to exchange it. We loved it so much that we are buying another and will try to treat it to withstand weather better. However, we will be buying it from a local store that can help us after the initial purchase. I recommend you purchase this product from a local source that can offer continuous service because of the price of the item.

Overall very happy but wish it was longer.

Always looking for a toy that gets the kids outside for fresh air and excersize I settled on a zipline, did a lot of research, and decided to go with Eagle Series zipline. Overall I am happy with my choice. It gets a fair amount of use although still nowhere near as popular as the trampoline.

The kit included everything I needed and is good quality. I have no concerns of safety at least from the equipment itself. Set up was intuitive though it did take some effort. I ended up using my riding mower to pull the cable tight enough and used laser levels to get the slope correct. It could probably be done without these but I was installing alone. It would be much easier with help.

I thought that 90' would be plenty but now that I have it up I find it to be barely adequate. If you have the yard for it I would recommend making it as long as possible. The seat is a must have. I have kids eleven and eight and they all need the seat. I can use the handholds on the car which is good because sitting on the seat gives me bad rope rubs on my inner thighs.

Overall I would recommend this but only if you already have a quality trampoline.

The kids absolutely loved it! It was really easy to set up as well. My only issue was that the 4 foot cable that wraps around the tree wasn't long enough to get around the big old white pine tree that I was attaching it to, so I had to run out and get a piece of chain instead. I also was able to get the cable plenty tight enough just with hand pulling it and using the turnbuckle. For a brake at the end, I used a pool noodle with a tennis ball at each end. I also duct taped up the pool noodle at the ends to keep it from ripping and it worked fantastically. I also stuck a pool noodle around the rope that holds the seat to give a little more cushion there too. The kids played on it all weekend!

Great zipline!
by Tucker (5 out of 5 stars)

Had this zipline kit almost 2 years and no problems. We installed the launch end on a tree and used a tree stand. We only used one section (5ft) of the 15 ft tree stand ladder. We put a 6x6 post in concrete in the ground for the stop end. The slope is slightly higher than the installation guide recommended, but it's been fine. At the time of install, we had 4 year olds using it so we didn't install the seat, instead we bought Black Diamond Kid's A-Bod Harness to make sure they didn't let go and drop off. They have since stopped using the harnesses and just hold the handles. At the time we purchased this kit, the stop block kits were around $80 so we made a stop block out of wood and attached a bungee rope to the block and to a tree. This has worked great. These pictures are after 2 years of use & the last one is the brake system we made out of wood.
