Great Customer Service, Awesome Bonding Experience
by Hawa (5 out of 5 stars)

When I received the trailer, I set to work trying to assemble the trailer and came to an issue when I needed to fit the round thing to the seat post. My bike is from the 70's and the post was smaller than all the attachments. I called customer care even though they were closed, and gave up thinking that I wouldn't get my issue resolved until Monday. However somehow they knew that I called and then called me back and I was able to get up and running that very day. Needless to say I was very impressed with the customer service.

Riding the bike is such a breeze!!! I have tried the bell seat, a classic trailer with the two seats, and now this... It's by far the easiest to pull! When my son shifts his weight to the other side of the bicycle I can feel it, or if it's really windy outside, but other than that it feels very natural to pull him and minimal effort (and I'm a recreational cyclist, not an avid cyclist).

My son LOVES IT TOO!!! He squeels with delight when I am riding the bicycle with him and asks me every day if we are taking the bike out. We go biking to the park or I'll go bike to pick him up from school if I get home from work early.... Honestly this has brought me the greatest joy with my son than any other one thing I've been able to do with him ever since he was a baby and I held him in my moby wrap.

We only went six miles but we LOVE it, and our grandson did not quit smiling ...
by Amazon Customer (5 out of 5 stars)

This arrived yesterday and we put it together today and took it for a test ride with our 4-year old grandson. We only went six miles but we LOVE it, and our grandson did not quit smiling the whole way! We ride an average of 75 miles a week, with the grandson, and until now he's been in a child seat on the back of my bicycle. At 45 lbs it was getting to where I was having balance problems with him on the back of my bicycle. With the Weehoo I don't feel as much of the sway and pulling side to side as I did with him in the child seat. The Weehoo also pulls a lot easier than the two-wheeled child trailer we occasionally used. Some people have suggested the Weehoo should have two wheels but I prefer one wheel. There is a huge difference in drag and on "pull-back" when rolling over bumps, and one wheel is definitely better than two.

My grandson is also thrilled to be able to "help" pedal. Of course he pedaled backward most of our ride, but it doesn't matter, he was so happy! I wish the seller had tossed in a handful of business cards for us to hand out because we already had two different people look it over today and ask questions!

The chain is well-protected so that a child can't get hurt on it. The storage bags at the back are great, and made of good quality fabric. We really love the seat. It's a padded nylon seat (also good quality fabric) suspended on a frame and should be comfortable on long rides. My husband loaded our grandson and strapped him in while I held my bicycle. When we got back I leaned it against the car to see how I could manage on my own, and I had no problems getting off my bicycle and getting my grandson out of the seat belt without upsetting my bicycle or the trailer.

Since we occasionally go on long rides (one regular route is 34 miles) this works better than a traditional tag-a-long because our grandson can lean back and go to sleep if he wants to, and the seat belt would keep him in. We anticipate a lot of long and enjoyable rides with the weehoo.

Phenomenal product with a great design aesthetic...

Amazingly well made trailer. My son loves riding in it. We have done multi hour rides now without him complaining even a little bit. The trailer is very stable once you are off and running. Placing and buckling your little one on your own takes some practice, but if you straddle the hitch as they recommend in their manual it is not too difficult... I use a hybrid bike with road tires and have no issues pulling this on surface streets uphill or downhill

The things that I love the most are
- Excellent engineering and design (coming from an engineer who loves design). The whole trailer inspires confidence and seems well made... Not a single part feels flimsy... I wish more products were like this... I am so tired of cheap crap that almost works... this is an example of great design and where they have not compromised on quality... And yes it is worth the price...
- Does not compromise rideability at least on surface streets and suburban biking trails... (I do not ride off road so cannot comment on that)
- Very easy to navigate corners and curves, better than any trailer I have ever used...
- The child gets a chance to remain engaged. This is the best way to get my son to enjoy nature...
- Absolutely phenomenal customer service... I emailed them about a question I had and I got a response from Jeff their VP almost immediately and he also explained one of his design designs... Not something I expected...
- The straps on the harness fit well and inspire confidence... the little handles also offer your LO something to hold on to... And they do..

So far I do not have any major cons...
- The seat post attachment where the hitch attaches to bike uses a hard plastic bushing... Will report on the durability of the same over time.
If you can call that a con... It costs about 15$ to replace... So even if it does breakdown it will not be too expensive to replace...
- It is a bit large and transporting it is bit hard specially given its length...

On the whole a phenomenal product and both me and my son love it....

Two little ones: Weeride in front, Weehoo in back. Done!
by Sarah K (5 out of 5 stars)

I wanted to tow our 2-year-old and carry our 10-month-old in a WeeRide seat in front of me. I needed a trailer to hold a child securely and let her be up high able to see. The Weehoo is the only trailer that can do both, so we bought one.

We just took it out for its first ride. Our 2-year-old daughter loved it! She's 38" tall, about 35 lb., and she fit very well. I was completely confident that she was safe in the harness. The trailer is heavy, but it's well worth it for the solid build. It fit my 2003 Gary Fisher Tassajara hardtail very well. We rode mostly on pavement but also went off onto the gravel and dirt, including some 4" drops. The Weehoo handled it beautifully, and our daughter was asking for more off-pavement riding! I saw two traditional two-wheel trailers, and I like the Weehoo infinitely better. For one thing, it's not much wider than the bike and rider. The child is up higher, able to see well, near enough to talk to me, and not zipped into a tent. Plus, she's already learning how the pedals work!

Another plus: The Weeride and the Weehoo both easily fit on the bike.

An important note: As another reviewer pointed out, the way to make it easy to load the child is to put a kickstand on your bike and set the trailer at about 45 degrees on the kickstand side. The whole assembly is quite stable this way, even with our daughter in the seat.

We hope to have three more kids and have them move from Weeride to Weehoo to their own bikes. The Weehoo will probably last long enough for the grandkids to use it!

In short, the Weehoo is excellent and well worth the extra expense.

"This is the best ride ever" said my 3 year old
by s8bayer (5 out of 5 stars)

I am an engineer, so it is really nice to say, this is a really well built product. I say, built like a tank. I would have no worry riding this thing through fields or over anything (obviously be concerned about your kid, just not the weehoo, this thing is solid). The adjust ability is pretty good. My wife and I are quite tall, so my 3 year old is often seen as a 5 year old so we might actually hit the limit of its adjustability, but not for a long time. I am hoping he can use it till 6yrs old and pass it down to his brother. We might actually buy two. It is expensive, but I can say it applies here too. You get what you pay for. This thing is awesome.

Downsides (if there are any)

Harder to transport; long curved boom does come off, and seat comes off. I saw a youtube video of how to fab up a hanger to make it mount on the roof of your car bike rack.

heavier; however my wife pulls it fine. She can get a little tired, but not too bad due to great freewheel and wheel bearings

No kickstand; that would be my only discouragement. If your not strong enough to sit on the boom and help your kid in while holding it and your bike up, dont get this. It is a bit difficult to do. However, my wife does it now fine. I am still looking at fabing up a kickstand that can hold both it, and the bike up... we will see.

Final word

My son loves thing thing! He really likes riding with us. He always pedals when he sees me pedaling next to him and rests when I rest. When he pedals you can actually feel him helping push. These are very, very nice. Especially controlling it while near a road that normally would be worrisome for a small kid on a bike to be near. It is very stable and reassuring.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT; FUN FOR KIDS AND PARENTS ALIKE!
by Michelle K (5 out of 5 stars)

This is an amazing little piece of machinery! Our 4-year old daughter LOVES it. My husband and I bought this so we could get back into biking again. Baby seats and trailers were too small for our daughter, and she's not fast enough on a regular bike to keep up with us. The Weehoo is the PERFECT solution. Not only do we get to enjoy a faster-paced bike ride, but so does she! It is SO MUCH FUN!!!! I was a little worried about being able to pull the weight of the Weehoo. I've been out of shape for about 5 years, and haven't biked in almost 20 years. But it's actually very easy to pull behind your bike...especially when your child pedals (which she does almost nonstop!). There is a slight bit of wobble from time to time (as she shifts her weight), so I have to keep my hands on my handlebars at all times. Here's the best method we found for hooking it up to my bike:
1) Attach the Weehoo while your bike is at a 90-degree angle to the Weehoo (not by straddling it all in a straight line like the directions say). You have to have a kick-stand for this to work.
2) Rotate the Weehoo pedals so that one of them is touching the ground and can therefore act sort of like a kickstand.
3) Strap your kiddo in.

After using the Weehoo about 6 times now, there are only 3 things I would caution about:
1) Tighten the pedals with a wrench, not just hand-tight. The pedals came off 3 times while my daughter was riding...until we wrench-tightened.
2) Make sure you test it before you haul it to the trails to ride. My bike is short, and when I attached the Weehoo the first time, the bar actually rested right on top of my back tire (oops!) I fixed that by adding one of the unused black nylon bushings UNDERNEATH the silver coupling on my bike post. The extra height was all I needed to get the bar off my tire. Now that I'm back from vacation, I'll look for a more permanent solution to that issue, but it worked just fine for about 70 miles of riding on 6 different trips.
3) The first time I hooked up the Weehoo, I followed the directions (using the straddle/straight line method). My bike fell over and took the Weehoo and my daughter with it. No one was hurt. But if you don't want to scratch up your bike, I highly recommend getting a kick stand on your bike and using the method I described up above.

You won't go wrong with this! I fully expect to see lots more people with these as the company grows and people learn about them!

One suggestion to the Weehoo folks: if you could add a fold-down kick-stand to the Weehoo, it would make things easier!

THE COOLEST THING EVER!!!!!!!
by Rico Suave (5 out of 5 stars)
August 5, 2014

- The best thing since sliced bread:):) My daughter is four and a half, that awkward age when she is too big for a regular bike seat, but too small to either ride independently, or be towed in an unrestrained upright position, over long distances. This trailer solves all these problems, and looks cool too. I get passers-buy looking around at it all the time, and comment on how cool it is and looks. The mounting, onto the bike, is a snap, and can be EASILY accomplished by one person. The same applies to the seating and strapping-in of the child in the seat. Both my wife and I have done it, by ourselves, numerous times. There are videos on youtube with helpful hints. I am an independent user of this product and not a company rep, who uses his own name for all my Amazon reviews, and I'm telling you - I LOVE THIS THING, and more importantly, so does my daughter:):) And my wife too, she wishes that the manufacturer made one that could carry her weight:):)
- Lastly, I bought this thing on May 13, 2014 (today is August 5, 2014), and have used it approximately 10 times for trips lasting about 2 hours, plus, many more uses around the neighborhood - So far, so good. As far as longevity is concerned, I guess we'll see in the next few years. But this thing LOOKS sturdy and well-made.

Awesome
by Father of 5 (5 out of 5 stars)
February 10, 2013

we have 3 boys and we decided to get 2 of these. We love it. Expensive, but worth it. We had originally bought a couple normal bike trailers, and it worked great for short rides, but we were worried about them falling asleep or losing concentration when going fast and possibly falling off. No worries at all with the Weehoo because they are strapped in. We did our first 40mile race with these and the kids loved it. At one point they were all sleeping. We got tons of comments everywhere. There are a lot of hills here in Hawaii and we were able to pass everyone else riding with their kids easily. Fast downhills were fun and they were also able to help pedal uphill. Pouches easily held everything we needed. Tools, diapers and what not. And we loved how we could fit their water bottles and snacks on the sides so they can easily reach it.

We had a shipping issue but the company squared it away fast and was very easy to work with.

Highly recommend to anyone.

Cute concept, but hoping for improved design
by ALiu (4 out of 5 stars)
January 15, 2015

This is really cute and my son enjoys going cycling with his father. It is a great concept to be able to have the kid peddle too along with the adult in the front. I also really like how it has a tall flag included to put behind the child seat as a safety feature to let cars know there is something there.

However, a kid is not going to have the stamina to continue peddling as long as an adult and as soon as a kid stops peddling, it creates a drag in the back. My son actually likes to peddle backwards on this, and although the adult bike can still go forward, it causes friction in the back and makes it a tad harder to navigate and ride.

SO MUCH FUN!

Purchased this for my 4.5 yr old so we could bike together as a family. My daughter absolutely LOVES THIS!!

A few things:
1. The assembly instructions were not the greatest. Not terribly complicated, but very little text...just pictures mostly. Took about an hour to take all the pieces out of the packaging and assemble...some of that time was spent locating the necessary tools...
2. It's helpful to have a bike wrench and multi-tool for the pedals and screws. The instructions do not indicate tools needed...
3. As many of the other reviews state, having a kickstand and fenders are sort of essential. The Weehoo itself has no kickstand, but placing the Weehoo perpendicular to your bicycle while using the kickstand for support is a good way to support the Weehoo while positioning your child.
4. I do not recall seeing the safety flag in the product description, but it DID come with one.
5. I also do not remember reading about the straps to hold the child's feet to the pedals. It's a nice safety touch.
6. The weight of the Weehoo and my daughter is noticeable, but not terrible. Definitely a workout for the quads tho!
7. My daughter literally screamed "weehoo" during our first ride. No I did not tell her what the bike was called LOL

All in all, I'm very pleased with the purchase. I've already had several friends ask about it. My daughter has a short attention span and limited patience for her own bike, so we anticipate it would be a while before she could bring her own bike along for longer rides. This is a great alternative until that time comes.
