The Woopsy desk lamp is an awesome design that looks like you've accidentally spilled some paint! The blue "paint" is actually the plastic base of the lamp, so there is no need to worry about having to clean it up. The tilted "bucket" is an angular matching linen fabric shade. A perfect accent light for a desk or night stand.

Fire hazard

Fire hazard. I used a 35 watt lightbulb like the instructions recommend, and it melted the plastic stand. Luckily, I saw it before it caught on fire.

What a cute little lamp! It is not as light weight as some other reviewers said, and seems reasonably sturdy. Works best as just a little nightstand lamp, maybe not for small children though. What the directions say is this: use a 25W appliance bulb. Candelabra bulbs with the small base will NOT fit as it is a regular sized socket. Some reviews said candelabra bulbs work, so I purchased some along with the lamp and am now stuck with them. Oh well. Or maybe some of the lamps have a smaller sized socket, mine doesn't.

I was excited to get this lamp because if how cool it looks. I finally got the lamp in the mail today and I'm disappointed. The lamp in the picture is shown without a light bulb. Normal light bulbs don't even fit in this lamp, half of the bulb will stick out which looks awful and bright because the bulb is not covered by the shade. The plastic used for the base is very coarse and looks cheap. I was expecting so much more from this lamp, I am most likely going to try to return it. I would also like to point out that the two other reviews on this lamp are fake. One even goes as far as to say "I am definitely going to consider some other items made by LumiSource" which clearly showed this is a comment by the company or someone paid to comment.

The website on this lamp shows - in multiple places - that it takes a 40W bulb. I ordered it for my daughter's desk, as she is into art work of all kind and loves to paint, draw, etc. My wife and I thought it would look great on her new desk. So based on the 40W information and the photo of the webpage I ordered it. When I got it, the box was already open as if it might have been shipped before and probably returned. Maybe that's because instead of a 40W bulb, the lamp itself says 25W max bulb and the instructions for the lamp say 25W bulb maximum. Instructions (attached) show it has to be a "Type A15 25W Appliance bulb or CFL equivalent. Do Not Use Standard Bulb". The photo for the product on the website seems to also indicates the bulb will be hidden with the lamp cover but per the instructions, even with the correct A15 smaller bulb it is going to be sticking out of the bottom of the lamp shade by a bit, so good luck with having a light that shines down on your work and not into your eyes. Returning!

The lamp itself is awesome, I love the design and unlike many of the other reviewers I went out and got candelabra bulbs which look fine with the lamp. The only quarrel I have about this lamp is that I ordered it in blue and it came in pink. I would have given this product an even worse star rating for this oversight if I hadn't learned that my sisters room is pink, which means it works well. Convenience aside I ordered blue meaning I expected blue, hence the three star rating.

Nice little lamp for a kids room. Needs to be at just the correct angle to look nice but the kids like it. Takes a special bulb, so be aware and maybe order one when you order the Lamp.

the cord that connects to plug is black and visible, so the final visual is not exactly the one on the picture. It is fun but could be better if the cord was in a matching color!
