Product Description

This web page's offer CHANGES sellers AUTOMATICALLY. To avoid accidentally buying an inferior fake product, be sure the offer above reads, "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com." If it doesn't, look under "Other Sellers on Amazon" and choose Amazon.com as the seller. IMPORTANT is that you have Forearm Forklift branded products when you move heavy furnishings. Forearm Forklift Lifting Straps are a pair of straps that are ergonomically designed to encourage proper lifting techniques and are OSHA accepted to reduce back injuries due to heavy and repetitive lifting. These straps employ leverage which makes the items being carried seem 66 percent lighter. This makes it much easier to go up and down a flight of stairs, and to turn around corners. Forearm Forklift Lifting Straps save floors from scratches, dents, scuffs and scrapes that dollies and hand trucks leave behind. They are adjustable up to 48 inches so you can easily carry small (SM), medium (MED), large (LG) and extra-large (XL) items. Forearm Forklift Lifting Straps are portable and they can conveniently be stored in a drawer, tool box, or under a truck seat. Forearm Forklift Lifting Straps are affordable, safe, ergonomically designed, adjustable, and portable.

Features

  • EASILY MOVE LARGE AND HARD-TO-HANDLE FURNITURE, APPLIANCES AND MATTRESSES QUICKLY AND SAFELY: Includes 2 adjustable lifting straps. Their ergonomic design employs leverage. In fact, using them makes the items you carry seem up to 66% lighter! Plus, this super-helpful tool also encourages proper body mechanics. Worthy of mention too is that Forearm Forklift Lifting Straps are the first moving tool ever to be OSHA accepted to reduce back injuries due to heavy and repetitive lifting.
  • EASY TO USE: Crisscross lifting straps under item to provide 8 points of contact support for balance and stability when moving. Lifting straps make it easier to maneuver up and down stairs and turn corners than floor dollies.
  • ADJUSTABLE: Each polypropylene strap is made of durable 3” wide webbing for comfort and strength. Straps are 9 feet 4 inches long with 3 arm hole loops at each end, providing 12 preset position combinations for up to 48 inches of length options to easily carry MED through XXL items. For oversized or bulky items add Forearm Forklift 42" long strap extension EXT (sold separately).

Received both real and fake Forearm Forklifts
by Amazon Customer (5 out of 5 stars)
August 14, 2013

I purchased two sets of Forearm Forklifts for an upcoming move. Because of the negative reviews complaining of fake product, I made sure to order "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com" so I would receive the real Forearm Forklifts. Anyway, as you can see, for some reason the fulfillment center sent me one real and one fake set of straps. (Like I wouldn't notice?)

If you order Forearm Forklifts from Amazon, even if it is "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com" and not a reseller, please check that it matches the specifications on the website (and in the video). Errors can be made when they fulfill and ship.

To Amazon's credit, they provided me a return shipping label to return the fake Forearm Forklifts with free shipping, and they are sending me another real set overnight.

I gave the product 5 stars because the real product is very well made and works great.

Makes lifting and moving furniture, appliances, and building supplies almost effortless
by Sam (5 out of 5 stars)

I've had these before, and they make moving furniture and building supplies a breeze for nearly anyone. The old pair was borrowed and never found its way home again, and we needed to move a lot of furniture and supplies during our re-model. My wife and I easily moved bedroom furniture, couches, desks, curio cabinets.. you name it... as well as all the lumber, drywall, cabinets, appliances, counter-tops, etc.... without injuring our backs or feeling like we'd just picked-up the whole house!

Amazing product! Really works!
by PepsiJedi (5 out of 5 stars)

I love the product. This is surely a positive review.

Two small negatives, before we go
1) I ordered the 'Camo green' ones. Figured why not.

They're not green. They're -brown- with maybe the faintest green tint to the brown. Not a deal breaker. They're moving straps. You're not buying them for fashion, but the green ones are brown.
2) The product came in a plain brown box with just a slip of paper for the product. If you read some of the reviews and the number of people that get bogus or counterfeit ones this is NOT reassuring. You're like "Now wait a minute, are these the real one or fakes??" It's not in product packaging or anything. Just a 6' by 7' slip of paper with images and the instructions. They could at least put it in a box or something to make it look more official. I've even seen news stories on how bad counterfeit ones have hurt the business. If the real ones come like this.... well it's not going to be hard to fake it if people aren't watching out.

That said. Those are two MINOR things. The Product works GREAT. And it really does work.

We recently had to move down the street a bit. Not far enough to rent a truck but far enough that it was a good 300-400 yards between houses. This meant one wasn't just carrying furniture out the door, onto a truck, driving it, then off the truck and straight into the new house. No we hauled it out and down the street by hand. So all in all we were carrying things a good bit longer than most people when they move.

We also had some large items. 6 by 6 marble and steel table. 3 by 5 marble and steel table, King sized bed with all the addons, and a monster of an entertainment center that's every bit of 8 feet long, 5 feet tall and solid wood, weighing about 450lbs.

With these straps, and using them correctly, we moved it all with very little problems. We started with the massive entertainment center, which is why we bought the straps. With out them, two of us could barely move it foot away from the wall with out killing ourselves. We figured if the straps worked on it, the rest would be a breeze.

My son is 18, and built like a scarecrow. I'm not exactly the hulk. We used the straps got in position and up it went. I won't say moving it was easy. It still has the same mass, but due to leverage and lifting physics, it was much much much easier. The two of us moved it out and down the street. Pausing just once because I needed to move my straps up a few inches.

It was easily 5 times easier using these straps. A piece of heavy furniture we had all but written off as "Unmovable, gonna have to destroy it and call it a loss" we moved down the street in under 20 minutes. One rest break of a few seconds in the middle. We've gone on to use them to move the marble and steel tables, couches, washers and dryers. All with out a problem.

It may seem a bit fantastical to watch the vids on Youtube and what have you but they DO work if you use them correctly.

Watch the videos. Make sure the arm bands are up to your elbows (About an inch from the bend) NOT down near your wrists. Get the lowest one you can use. Brace your hands AGAINST not "On" or "Around" the object you're lifting. Squat. Use your legs not your back, stand up and BOOM.

These straps won't turn you into a superhero but the ease with which you can move heavy objects will make you feel like one.

NOT the Original Design
by Rachel C (2 out of 5 stars)
September 20, 2016

What I received were NOT the original Forearm Forklifts. I have a pair purchased several years ago that are probably three inches wide and very sturdy material. These are narrower (two inches wide) and a seemingly more lightweight material. They will probably work ok, but they are NOT the original design.

The Good: Great and easy to use for moving large/heavy ...
by Rachk426 (4 out of 5 stars)
July 19, 2018

We have been using this product for more than two years and it works as described.

The Good: Great and easy to use for moving large/heavy items around the house, preferably on the same floor.

The Bad: Not so great for moving large/heavy items across floors or in ant incline.

Better option when the need to move items across floors is Shoulder Dolly Moving Straps - Lifting Strap for 2 Movers - Move, Lift, Carry, And Secure Furniture, Appliances, Heavy, Bulky Objects Safely, Efficiently, More Easily Like The Pros - Essential Moving Supplies - LD1000 where the weight is distributed to the shoulders and back instead of the forearms.

Price: $19.13 in 2017

Allowed me and my wife to lift a full sized freezer up basement steps, across a yard, and into the Uhaul. Would not have been possible without this and the Shoulder Dolly 2-Person Lifting and Moving System. Holding onto the furniture can be a little difficult when we were unsure of which strap loop to put our forearms into. We just took it slow and said "hey, I don't have leverage on this side, let me put my arms into the lower strap."

Would purchase again.

A must for moving large or heavy furniture
by Ronin's Mom (5 out of 5 stars)
November 25, 2016

My husband and I decided to purchase a set to load and unload furniture into storage.

We have a 10" height difference and it was just the two of us. I had no idea how we were going to lift our sectional sofa without destroying it.

We purchased the extender strap along with the Forearm Forklift. They worked great for the sectional sofa, but you don't need the extender to move everything.

We used the FF on three separate moving occasions and they've held up great. Works for oversized furniture, heavy dressers, tall bookshelves and mattress and box springs.

Navigating inclines and stairs was a bit tricky. But moving without the straps would have been a nightmare.

ONCE AGAIN - NOT WHAT WAS DESCRIBED
by Dabuck,Top Contributor: Camping (2 out of 5 stars)
July 30, 2013

We had ordered these while I was visiting my brother, they worked fairly well and I liked them so I ordered a set for myself. What I received was NOT the same as my brother received. He received three inch wide heavy duty straps, while the set I was sent was about one and a half inch wide straps and NOWHERE as sturdy as the set he was sent. I immediately returned them and noticed that REPLACMENT was NOT an option. I also noted that there are several sellers for this item that also qualify for Prime. The pricing is very close, so who knows who is selling what ??????? My Prime purchase was from a seller named Beautiful Time.
7/31 UPDATE - I re-ordered these with Amazon as the seller, they won't be delivered until end of August despite being a Prime item, but I am not in any hurry. I plan on keeping them in the car in case I may need them. For home use I have the original Shoulder Dolly. I will update again after I receive this new order.
08/09/13 - UPDATE - I was notified that the second order for these were actually going to be shipped much sooner than anticipated. I just opened the box from my second order of these straps, and this time the seller was supposedly Amazon. I received the cheaper ones again. These straps are only 1.5 inches wide, not the 3 inch wide ones we first received. Amazon needs to update their description of these straps, or otherwise get the correct ones in stock. Since I only wanted these as spares to keep in my car trunk, I am going to keep them - but I am definitely very disappointed.

Totally worked. We used these to move several refrigerators. Although the picture of the ladies moving the couch is cute, it's misleading. You will have your grunt-face on as you move things.

Not great for going up stairs
by chi (2 out of 5 stars)
November 25, 2018

I was moving to a 5th floor walk-up and got this to move pieces of a sectional sofa.

When I tried it at home to lift one of the biggest pieces up, it felt amazing. I was amazed at how easy it felt. I was so stoked for the move.

But on the day of the move we tried carrying the same piece of the sofa up some flights of stairs and after the third floor we just gave up. I'm not sure if there's a way to adjust the strap so it works well, but we ended up ditching it.

It would probably work well if you're moving somewhere with an elevator or anywhere you don't have to use stairs.
