Now she can carve up our street and divide it amongst neighbors and siblings. You can clearly identify which side of the line you are on after she rolls through. The one bad thing is they don't make chalk in the appropriate gang colors for our hood.
Great idea but I'm returning it

Bought three of these for my kids ages 5/7/9. Was really looking forward to this toy after watching the video. Product material was very strong and it snaps together easily. However, the rear tire hub clips fit very loosely and this part could be improved. Only comes with one piece of chalk so I'm glad I ordered extra...
I clipped on all three, inserted the chalk, and off they went...down the driveway and into the cul de sac. So far so good...
Within 5 minutes all three pieces of chalk were worn down to about 1/3 of the size which doesn't allow for any more transfer to the pavement since the chalk stub remains in the clip. Further the device continues to drag and started to quickly wear down the plastic.
While I was replacing the chalk on the first device, one of my other kids signaled me for assistance. They hit a bump and the chalktrail device flew off causing the chalk holder to come off, the hub clip insert to separate into two pieces (there is a ball joint and rubber gasket). It went back on easily and they were back off riding...
So after about 15 minutes I made two repairs, replaced 4 pieces of chalk (one was broken in half in the packaging and was useless) and then decided this was not meant to be so I packed it all up and requested the return from Amazon.
This product has a lot of potential but needs to go back to the drawing board for some tweaking. Until they can develop a piece of chalk that lasts more than 5 min and a better hub clip...its just not worth it.
Not what I expected :-(

The advertisement for this product made it look so fun and like it would be a great addition to our outdoor activities. BUT I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WHEN WE RECVD IT AND I PUT THEM ON MY KIDS BIKES. They worked nothing like I expected. We draw chalk tracks all the time for my kods to ride their bikes,scooters...etc on.. And the older I get the harder it is for me to bend over for a long time and draw them the tracks with chalk. I thought this would be a perfecr product. I wish it would've worked better. The problem is the lines were very faint and we could barely see them. It skipped alot too. Juat seemed like there wasn't enough pressure being applied to the chalk piece? I installed one on my 8yr old daughter's bike and my 5yr old son's bike which is smaller and has training wheels. So I did try it on more than one type of bike. It kept coming off where you attach it to the bolts by the wheel on my son's bike. He had to keep stopping. He still had fun. The chalk also wore down very quickly. You cannot put just regular size sidewalk chalk in there wither like I orig thought. I ordered a big box of it having high expectations for this toy. My aon who's 5 actually found this product on the Vat19 website.. Watching a YouTube video about it. He ahowed me and I was excited about the idea of it..so I ordered. 1 blue and 1 red one. Both came with blue chalk. Lastly I will mention the street we live on is blacktop and isn't perfectly smooth everywhere.. It has little rocks in some spots that may have played a factor in the result.. But even where the road was recently redone we had the same problem of very poor visibility of the chalk line. After the first use I put them back in their orig boxes and they will probably remain there stored away. I may try one more time and then see if I an return them if I exp the same result. They were too costly for my budget as a single mother of 3 to be used one time then sit and remain in storage.
great idea to get your kids more exercise!!

a single bike with trail is already awesome, but it inspires other kids to have one too and when multiples are getting together beautiful patterns emerge. especially if you clump a few colors together and cycle 8's it is awesome to see.
I picked it up because I wanted to get my daughter off the side wheel helpers and exercise more when the weather is nice and this was a great way to achieve that, it worked! :)
It's ok

The clamp is easy to install but does not hold super securely on a bike with quick release. One of my daughters bike does not have quick release and it holds more securely. The thing actually chipped the concrete at the cracks in my driveway. The kids do like them though. If there are any high spots in your driveway or sidewalk it tends to make the chalk slip.
Bicycle Spirograph, What Fun!!!

I love this gadget. It's wrapped and awaiting Christmas morning form my 8 year old bike loving granddaughter. She also uses sidewalk chalk almost daily so I picked up an extra box as well as the glittered chalk. I ran the idea by her Aunt who always Scores with the perfect gifts for kids and she gave this two thumbs up. It was affordable and will allow her hours of fun. I've explained it to my age group friends as a bicycle Spirograph.

We received this as a gift and because we enjoy it so much, we now give it as a gift as well! Stays on bike. Durable. Super fun! We also bought the extra pack of chalk to go with.
Chalk wears down very quickly

The concept is a good one, however, the chalk kept slipping through so my daughter had to keep stopping to push it back down. Also, the chalk that came with it lasted 1 bike ride. I thought you could just use a normal sidewalk shop, but not the case. The chalk is much larger. I also think the product is overpriced.
It falls apart too easily!

My grandson loved his chalk trail but after 4 good long rides the thing fell apart and the hardware that keeps it on the axel fell off in the ride and we weren't able to find it anywhere. Great concept, poor equipment.

This product is cheap and doesn't work like the commercial. It barely shows up when you hook it up to your bike
