DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!! I REPEAT. DO NOT BUY. These hoops are incredibly cheap and horrible.. I only got to use it twice before it stopped working. My roommate bought the same one, and hers didn't even last a week either. This was around 70ish dollars, but for $30 you can just buy a mood hoop, that comes with 2 batteries, and so many styles!

I love this hoop. Though getting it to completely close to turn on the lights can be a trick (once you get it down, you know what to do, and I no longer have issues with this...) it is great. The battery lasts a long time...very lightweight....worth it. :)

for this price you cannot beat it! the single rechargable battery lasts. this is a PERFECT hoop for beginners, i am looking to get a more expensive one with rotating colors, this does not change colors. it is rainbow though :)

CONS:
-The battery compartment is mounted AROUND instead of INSIDE the hoop. This adds unnecessary width. You can see in the images how my pink Polypro hoop has an internal locking mechanism so that the hoop is seamless.
-The LEDs are not spaced evenly (see pictures).
-The included battery says "over charge and discharge protection" however the instructions included with the hoop have many warnings against charging the batteries overnight, longer than 2-3 hours at a time, etc.
-The included 14500 battery is branded as UltraFire however the color of the wrapping and font size suggest this is a fake UltraFire battery (Li-ion batteries are often faked, which I learned from using 18650s). I do not have anything to test the battery with and have not removed the wrapping to see if there is another wrapping underneath.
-The hoop pulls and warps as you are spinning it due to the weight of the battery compartment and battery. This would not occur if the hoop was evenly weighted.
-The battery floats around all loosey goosey when in "off" mode - AKA the hoop is not fully closed. There isn't a real ON/OFF setting. I would not trust leaving the battery in there based on my notes above.

PROS:
-It lights up!
-It DOES strobe (see picture with the feet in it - I was trying to get an image while using it around my waist lol).

This hoop is perfect for hoop dance! I am using it for a talent show and can't wait! I strongly recommend this to anyone who is interested! So fun!!!! It is also super great for illusion tricks! I was so pleased when I opened it for my birthday!! You won't be disappointed! The price is amazing too! So the other hoops on mood hoops are like 100-200 dollars! This is great!

Not worth the money

This item worked for about 2 days before it broke, the battery will not keep a charge for more then about 2 min. I am very disappointed that I paid almost $80 for this item.

It doesn't strobe and never did. the more I used it, the more batteries I had to add in there. Now the spring is pushed so far down I cant even turn the piece of crap on. it was fun the first few months an. Notw it just sits there.
