by NG (5 out of 5 stars)

Bought this light for the purpose of using it in my freezer since there is no built in light. Works just fine and it's been about a month now. Just becareful when mounting using the adhesive strips:

Clean and dry the area as much as possible.
☑️Update:
2years later I'm sure I changed the batteries only once. I am going to buy another one for the cabinet under the sink.

Fulcrum 20032-301 6 LED Motion Sensor Weatherproof Light
by glhad (5 out of 5 stars)

This is a very nice automatic light. It is light in weight, but is a quality product. The back plate can be mounted by the included screws or the included sticky pads. I mounted mine on the porch, above the front door to illuminate the porch and door lock, so coming home after dark allows me to easily see the door lock...no more fumbling with getting the key into the lock. It comes on when I'm about 10' to 12' away and stays on for about 25 seconds. I actually mounted mine with a couple of thumb tacks, so no large screw holes if I ever take it down. I've had it up for some time now and the batteries are lasting well.

PS

I've had this for a year now, mounted above my front door, and it still works great. I still haven't had to replace the batteries. I highly recommend this for a security light, or just to be able to see your keys and the lock to get in at night.

Great for use as a wireless shower light!
by sommer (5 out of 5 stars)

This is a great product. I needed a light for my shower because I have a high black shower curtain that leaves my shower area very dark, but I did not want to have to go through the headache and expense of wiring the area and installing a light in the ceiling. I searched high and low for a wireless shower light, but for the life of me could not find one. So I opted to try this outdoor light instead, and it works PERFECTLY in my shower.

First of all, it is a very good looking light. I spent a lot of time decorating my bathroom, and was nervous about installing an adhesive light because I was afraid it might ruin the decor. But this light looks fantastic. It is a nice clean rectangular shape, the stainless steel makes it look modern, and the lights have a bluish tint to them that also gives it a modern feel. The light is bright, but it shines downward, so it is not blinding. I put it between my shower head and the faucet, and it looks great! Plus, it is weatherproof, so the steam and water in the shower don't harm it. AND it was super easy to stick on...just use the adhesive tape that comes with it. I've only had it for a few days, but the water does not seem to have affected its security on the wall.

The motion sensor is very sensitive, so as long as I am in the shower, it pretty much stays on, but I never have to turn it on or off. Also, my shower does get a little bit of light, and that does not affect the light's ability to turn on, which I've heard is the problem with other motion sensor lights.

Highly recommend!

Has worked fine. It claims to be weatherproof
by T Roe (4 out of 5 stars)

Has worked fine. It claims to be weatherproof, but that's not really true. I put it on my front door, where it is protected by a porch roof. On a windy, rainy night, enough rain blew onto the door so that rain soaked into the light, the batteries got "fried", and it ceased to work (even with new batteries).

Surprisingly, after being dried out for a few days, it is working again. But I don't think "weatherproof" means that rain that blows in (i.e. not direct exposure to rain) could potentially break it.

It has survived for almost 3 years at that location, so maybe it was just an unlucky night. But I will have to remember to take it down and bring it inside if I think it will be rainy AND windy.

I was tempted to give it only 3 stars because of this, but I paid $15, and if it ends up dying, let's say, every 5 years from a rain storm, that's not bad.

But others who live in rainier, windier areas might want to avoid it.

Great Freezer Light!!!
by Latenight (5 out of 5 stars)

We only paid $1000 for our new refrigerator, so naturally Whirlpool couldn't afford to run a 10 cent wire up to the freezer compartment and hook it up to a $3 light module. Of course, we didn't notice the missing light until after the fridge was delivered and installed in our kitchen. No matter. 20 minutes after this light arrived from Amazon, I had it installed in the freezer section, and its been working PERFECTLY for about 2 weeks now. Comes on instantly when the door opens, and turns off 20 seconds after the freezer door closes. (I checked it with an optic fiber.) No problems.

Of course, I used LITHIUM AA batteries (Energizer Ultimate) because they work to 40 below zero, whereas Alkaline batteries cannot handle past -10. Anyway, the batteries should last years, like they do in our (Wisconsin) backyard temperature transmitters. The unit was very easy to mount using the mounting plate and 2 small (1/4 inch) flathead screws I found in my screw collection. (The included screws are too long to use in your freezer - you DON'T want to hit a refrigerant tube!!)

I mounted it facing in, of course, after poking 2 small pilot holes through the (surprisingly) soft plastic liner of the compartment. (Don't think the stick-em pads they include with this light will hold up in a freezer.) Used the mounting plate as the template of where to poke the holes. Unit slides out easily (pull towards you) when time comes to change batteries, or remove the light for any reason. Great light! Very happy with this purchase.

AWESOME!

VERY bright! I like how it is tilted downward so it doesn't shine directly straight out but instead illuminates the floor. We use it on a 5 stair down to our laundry room and it lights up perfectly! The sensor is also very sensitive and it always turns on.

Freezer light anyone
by John R Kelly (5 out of 5 stars)

Attention anyone who misses a light in their refrigerator freezer. This might work for you. I was so frustrated that none of the refrigerators I was shopping for had a freezer light like all of my refrigerators that I've had (granted I wanted bisque). Going by the review of the guy in New Jersey saying that his lit up his walkway fine even in freezing weather I got it and it does the job. Note, when positioning it make sure that you allow the door with it shelves to close. I've had this for some time now and appreciate it. The batteries last for a reasonable time and replacing them is a snap. I read the other review that uses it as a freezer light and I agree the companies have lessened their image by such short cuts.

Somethings not right here ...

Fulcrum 20032-301 6 LED Motion Sensor...

I've purchased this light a little under a year ago. It is in a basement stairwell where little traffic occurs but is better than turning on an overhead light. This is a rather great light for illuminating the stair well and walk way, and the length or duration of the batteries is roughly 4-5 months so for me it has 'worked' well.

Well, with one exception; The first set of batteries I had in this unit where (4) AA Energizer batteries. Towards the end of the 4th month the light dimmed to the point you could not see the stairs. As I went to change the batteries I noticed a liquid dripping out of the bottom. I had two batteries leaking acid.

After an extensive cleanup, I gave the light the benefit of the doubt and put in (4) AA Duracell batteries. Towards the end of the 5th month the light was dimming again. After pulling the back panel off to access the batteries, I noticed two more batteries leaking acid & the contacts beginning to collect corrosion.

One set of batteries may be coincidental, but two sets of batteries? I don't think so. I like the range and the luminosity of this light, but the battery leakage is not acceptable.

Upon further reflection, I have become rather curious about the advertisement contradiction of these LED lights. They say an LED uses a small fraction of the power of an incandescent bulb and even a fluorescent bulb. Now there are (6) LED's in this light & others I've researched. If this be the case, why on earth would this light (& others) use (4) AA batteries? I have an older incandescent bulb, battery operated light that takes (2) AA batteries and lasts (6) months. I have an LED flashlight that takes a single AA battery & has lasted over (2) years now. And this flashlight puts out more luminosity than this light. So why are these lights taking so much battery for so little time?

Not making sense to me, thus the two stars; two lost for battery leakage, one for huge energy consumption for an LED light. Very disappointed.

Long-Lasting, Super High Quality Light
by Joshua S. (5 out of 5 stars)
July 15, 2016

I bought a couple of these in January 2015 and was very happy with them. I've placed two or three more orders and I now have about 20 of these motion sensor lights along my driveway, deck, walkway, trees, etc. I have sort of gone nuts ordering these but I like them. In the course of these orders, one light was DOA and promptly replaced by Amazon and I've had no other problems. Even the first lights I installed, in January 2015, are still working fine on their original batteries. My house is in an area where there a lot of deer so the lights have undoubtedly sensed quite a bit of motion (false alarms) and yet the batteries are still good. The light they emit is bright white LED light, super high quality. I would like to buy more of these lights but I can't figure out where I would put them!

Worked for 6 weeks
by Antonio A. (2 out of 5 stars)
March 6, 2019

This light was used on a desk as a way to light your way to the light switch. It has no controls or selections you can make to turn it on or off. You either pull the batteries out if you don't want it to function or deal with it. Product lasted 2 weeks past the window for return. Now, it turned on and stays on 24/7. The sensor failed and there's no way to bypass the light sensor. Basically, it was a 6 week useful product, now it's a paperweight.
