Stainless steel bearings is a definite plus,by Dawn (5 out of 5 stars)

Hello, Just to share a bit of my research in case this may be of help to others, since I found the information confusing on which Zip Line kit to purchase until I spent many, many hours comparing information (Amazon & Ebay) and comparing reviews as well. The difference between the Eagle and the Hawk (Both produced by Brand 44) is the Eagle includes a seat (good to know if you have small children, however you can add a seat to the Hawk). Both otherwise appear to be the exact stainless steel cable 3/16" (choose your length carefully since one reviewer mentioned getting a 63' when ordering a 70'---This seems to be mentioned only once however, it could be a fluke) The most important thing to me is safety & durability, both the Eagle and the Hawk have steel bearings, which are logically very important since they will get wear with use and hold up better to the elements. I immediately narrowed down my selection to this brand when I found out that major difference. (Both have a generous 200+ weight capacity, I've read conflicting information on the weight between 200-250 lbs., so I would assume the lesser just to be on the safe side) ;Make sure to plan ahead and buy or I opted to make a tree hugger to protect the tree or post, if you read the reviews the protective cover seem to be overpriced wood strips and astro-turf with velcro. I'm going to experiment & will let you know the results. Hope this information will help other newbie zip line researchers, good luck & safe Zipping, and have a fun summer!

Zipline AKA Fun and Worth the Price

41 y.o. mom here who installed this in under 1 hour. The accompanying directions to the product are excellent; detail only in areas needed. Good pictures/illustrations to clear up any concern from written instructions. My kids LOVE this. Each morning it's the first thing they ask about "Mom when we get home from school can we use the zipline?" and the last thing at night "Tomorrow after school, Mom, can we please use the zipline?" My husband and I have both "tested" it out too several times, you know, just to "make sure it is safe" for the kids. Tee hee. I cringed a bit from the cost initially but it is worth every penny upon reflection. As the instructions say, it slightly stretches out after initial use and when I say slightly I mean the setup looked exactly the same but my kids ride on the descent was a tad bit slower. Happy to answer any questions you might have about this. My only question for myself is: do we get another one?!!
Super easy set up, unique fun, all ages fun

I set this up, alone, in about 30 minutes. Very easy, lots of fun. However, it's novelty began to wear off quickly. We have since created games for it. Like bowling. Take a half sheet of plywood and set up some bowling pins. Each rider attempts to knock over the most pins. Anyways, you'll have to innovate to keep it interesting.
For set up I used a tall latter to support the center (and trolley), gloves for pulling the heck out of the cable, and vise grips for locking the cables in place while I screwed on the hardware.
We go 68' between trees, from 10' down to 5'. Having the low ending point allows my little people to drag feet instead of bump at the end. Also, I took off the plastic seat as it pops back up every time you get off of it, knocking the little people right in the chin.
This zip-line has been great fun all in all but the handle bar grips ...

This zip-line has been great fun all in all but the handle bar grips were not glued on well and both came off during a ride causing my son to fall off. After securing them back on now the small metal clip that is attached to the rope to adjust the seat broke in half. Luckily no one fell this time but it did warrant more concerns. Seeing how precious the cargo is that this zip-line transports I find the lack of safety with this product to be troubling.

Bought this for my son for his 10th birthday and although it did take my husband a little longer to put out then we originally thought it was because we changed our plans and location for this. We were originally going to have it coming from our treehouse but later decided to string it from two trees.
My husband is very focused in detail oriented so I did take him most of Saturday to get this up. However the instructions were very clear and easily understandable the product itself is great and we have had a lot of fun in our backyard with it! Shipping was fast and we would definitely buy this again it holds up even to my husband he's over 200 pounds.
We did not purchase a brake for it so one of the adult has to stand at the end to make sure the children don't go smacking into the tree. Great product at a great price I've seen this in stores for much more money

Absolutely great zip line! My 8 year old daughter and her friends love it. I was able to install it all by myself without any problem. I could've probably made it a little tighter with some help, but it was super user-friendly to install.
As protection for the trees, I simply wrapped the cable in an old water hose we had to keep it from "eating into" the tree.

I just received this item and noticed on the box that it says 150 lb. maximum weight.I came back online to reread the description to confirm it said 250 lb maximum. This is confusing and I'm not sure if I will keep.
fun but young kids will need adult to get on it

instructions look a little intimidating but it was not too hard to put up. will need a friend's help to get the line tight enough.
but kids love it. only downside is the kids cant get on it by themselves. the height you have to put this at for there to be any fun requires an adult to pick the kids up and onto even in the middle section of line which dips.
Great buy; can zip through a large space!

This biplane is a very good product, and not too terribly difficult for me to install. I was able to get it installed by myself rather than needing other people, but it is possible to install it as 1 person. As for the use of it, our son loved it all summer long and we look forward to when the weather gets good again to use it some more.
Big hit for the whole neighborhood!

Bought this for my 8 year old grandsons after reading all the great reviews. Put it up same day and every kid in the neighborhood showed up to try it out. I felt good about letting them try it because of the safety features built in. Best present I have given them to date!!
