My S.O. are kind of floaty addicts and even own some of the very high end 8-10 person party islands. We've had the good and bad when it comes to floaties.
The Swimline Sunsoft goes into the category of floats we LOVE. This mattress blows up quickly (we use an electric pump, but it would certainly be just fine to use a foot pump). There are two plastic floats inside the fabric cover. For best results, blow the small pillow up completely and situate it in the top portion of the cover so it fits nicely. Then, blow the bottom portion up about 3/4 of the way full. This creates that bean bag effect. You don't really get wet when you use this mattress which is something that I appreciate. This float is extremely stable as well, even when only blown up 3/4 of the way. We had a 9 year old standing on it and riding it like a surfboard over some boat wakes.
The fabric is rough when it's new and slightly uncomfortable. However, we've found after 4 or 5 uses, it has softened up tremendously and now it's quite comfortable.
There is a hand strap on the top of the float so you can tie it up to a large island float, or for pulling it up out of the water. You will need that strap when pulling it out of the water. It's HEAVY due to the water getting inside the fabric cover. Have no fear though, it drains quickly and even quicker if you unzip the side--the water comes rushing right out. I have every intention of buying another one of these before summer is out. Five star for sure!

I have purchased pool floats for 37 years. We have purchased closed cell foam 1.75 in thick at 150 dollars to 99 cent blow up units.
THIS IS THE BEST I'VE EVER PURCHASED! Do yourself a favour you will not be disappointed.
The best lounger around!!!

My long lost search for the perfect pool lounger has ended! This is the best! I love how it keeps you above the water and doesn't sink you in. It's like a bed on water. I'm just over 200lbs and this float is amazing. I also love the feel of this, feels like a soft towel, and is not scratchy to me. Was so impressed I bought 2 more for our guests to use! Absolutely love this! Water does pool inside the liner, so I recommend unzipping on the corner and draining after each use. Kind of a no brainer, I've seen some of the reviews say it gets mold. I have no issue with this float other than my kids wanting to use it!
Great raft. Very durable

Great raft. Very durable. If you purchase, please note that inside the canvas are two inflatables. One is the body and one is the head piece. Please look for the head piece inside before you blow up the raft.

I originally gave this product 5 stars. However, my canvas cover tore after only 3 years. I contacted the manufacturer inquiring how to go about purchasing a replacement cover or a repair kit. They were very curt with me and responded "This item is sold as a whole to distribution. It's not something we even make separate covers for." WTH, you don't have replacement covers? the part that wears out the most? Terribly disappointed with this supplier. It's an expensive product.

Large (almost double the width of most rafts), heavy duty, and comfortable. Much cheaper than retail also (over $30 in some stores). We liked the first so much we bought a second. Fabric stays comfortably cool in the Florida sun.
Would like more color choices.
Best Lake Bed around!

I call this my lake bed. This precious piece of inflatable mattress was the hit of the summer! I spent hours floating around in the lake. It fits 1 large adult perfectly or 3 small kids. The kids would paddle around and play games when I wasn't monopolizing it. The bonus feature is that it will go faster than any other float because it floats above the water, not sunk inside the water, and it allowed me to cruise up the lake to my parents house and back with only paddling with my hands. The canvas is nice, so it's comfortable and sturdy when near rocks. I would definitely purchase this inflatable bed again!
Lasted about 4 years....but could have lasted longer.

Had one for over 4 years. It did get a little mold on it so I now don't keep the new one in the pool until I want to use it. the cover is very durable as are the bladders inside. This year, at my opening pool party, some kids were jumping on it and the canvas finally gave way and split. It probably would have lasted longer if they hadn't been jumping on it. I had to order the whole item new. Would be nice if they'd just let you buy the canvas covers all by themselves. Worth the money! Sometime I use it at night, when I'm fully dressed. I lay on it with a glass of wine and star gaze from my pool and never even get wet. Depends on how much you blow it up. I figure that by keeping it out of the pool when not in use ( unzip it to allow air flow inside it) and not allowing kids to jump onto it it probably would have lasted about 6 or 7 years or so.
Little short if you are tall, nothing bean bag like about this

I like it, don't get me wrong, for a guy over 6' tall it's too short, I'm 5'11 and I'd love for it to be 6 inches longer. It has no cup holder which I don't like and there is nothing bean bag like about it, that's a lie.. I like the study outer fabric, it rejects water well, the inside inflates, but I bought it hoping it had styrofoam like "beans" in it, nothing like that. I'd buy it again but I'd love for it to be longer and any lounger needs a drink holder in my book.
Great sturdy pool mattress

We've gone through many inflatable pool items thanks to our Labrador who thinks everything is a chew toy. I wanted something sturdy that I could relax and float on without necessarily getting completely soaked (our pool temp averages 75 degrees). This mattress is fantastic. Very sturdy and the cover keeps my dog from thinking its a chew toy. In fact, he's actually been on it with me in the pool, and he's over 80lbs. Not telling you how much I weigh, but it definitely holds over 200lbs. I've had to add some air to it once a month, but otherwise it holds up really well. Very happy with this purchase.
