Okay, but Duke Cannon makes better soap

I've tried several of Duke Cannon's bar soaps (Victory, Naval Supremacy, Beer Soap, and this) and I liked all of them. Smells Like Accomplishment is my least favorite, but that doesn't mean it's outright bad--just disappointing compared to how good the others are.

The fragrance on this one is pretty mild and doesn't leave much of a scent on you after you get out of the shower. I can't pick out much in the way of bergamot or black pepper. It's a generic soapy scent and not a particularly masculine one either.

I don't care for the "steel cut oats" in the soap because they're scratchy without having enough to actually scrub the dead skin off. It's not moisturizing (didn't think it would be) but it doesn't dry the skin out either. All of the DC soaps have the same properties as far as texture/nondrying effect in my experience. This is truly a huge bar of soap (over half a pound!) as the name implies and it should last a very long time compared to smaller bars.

This bar does leave a dark residue in the tub, which I could immediately tell when I lathered it up and the bubbles were gray. It's not going to make the shower look filthy when you're done but it is a little annoying to have to rinse the residue away.

I would fully recommend the Duke Cannon Big Ass Beer Soap, 10 Ounce instead of Accomplishment for several reasons. Chiefly, the scent on the Beer Soap is one of the best I've ever used--it's spicy and woody (as in a workshop) and honestly smells incredible. The Beer Soap doesn't leave any discoloration or residue after you use it either. If you can find these in a store instead of online, you can find a better deal; my local supermarket has them for about $7.

Overall, I'd recommend trying a Duke Cannon soap but maybe not this one in particular. Beer Soap is my personal favorite, but Victory and Naval Supremacy smell good too.

A HUGE Bar of Soap & Proceeds Go to Vets

This bar of soap is HUGE and it smells great. As others have mentioned, the shower will smell great and manly when you get out but it won't linger on your skin. It also rinses off easily and does not dry out your skin. Why buy other soaps when this one will last you longer and some of the proceeds go towards vets? I will definitely be making this my new brand of soap to purchase regularly.

Great Big Bar of Soap. Don't use it with a light colored wash cloth

Let's get right to it. This soap is as adverstised "Big Ass Brick of Soap". It has a very subtle smell and rinses clean. I began using this soap on January 1st. I shower once a day. Almost 3 weeks later I still have enough soap for at minimum 2 more weeks. It does what it is suppose to do without being over powering. I have one complaint. I am a "wash cloth guy". Our wash cloths are white. This soap has some type of dye/coloring in it. When I lathered it up on my wash cloth it turns the wash cloth a dark gray/charcoal color. Washing the cloth in a washing machine does not take the stain/color out. I would recommend you use a dark wash cloth or one that matches the color of the soap. If it was not for this issue I would have given it 5 stars instead of 4.

It smells great and it is huge

It smells great and it is huge. It doesn't leave a film. The only reason it didn't get five stars was that it seems to, what is the word I am looking for... evaporate quickly. Every use seems to make it considerably smaller, so the size is needed to make it last as long as a regular bar of soap.

Surprisingly Fine Product

"Duke Cannon Big Ass Brick of Soap smells like accomplishment" is without a doubt the finest shower product I have ever used. The rich lather it produces rinses clean and I don't see black foam or residue on me, the shower or anything else. Call the fragrance "manly" if you must put a label on it, but the scent is light, very nice and my wife loves the smell of it on me. You guys complaining about this product need to get better water. One caution: If you like to play "drop the soap" in the shower, try to miss your feet because this truly is one Big Ass Brick Of Soap and it's gonna hurt.

I really like this soap. It lasts a very long time which is nice. My only problem with it is that it leaves black marks everywhere which gets really annoying.

Smell Doesn't Measure Up

As many reviewers have said, this is a BIG ASS bar of soap. It does a good job, too, although guys with smaller hands will be bending over a lot to pick it up after dropping it. Why not more stars, you ask? It's the smell. I'm pretty accomplished, and I don't recognize the smell. Also, I drink pretty good Scotch, and again, the smell eludes me. It's not bad, it just doesn't measure up to the hype. And if you're going to push a product the way this company does, you'd better measure up.

Smells great and love the soap but they need to minimize the dye because when it drips dry in my shower it leaves black soap scum and then I get yelled at when my girl cleans the tub. Otherwise, it's great.

Purchased this as a christmas gift for my boyfriend kind of as a gag gift because it is so huge and comes in sarcastic packaging.. However he says it is the best soap he has ever used and he is still using it almost 3 months later! Well worth the 10$ He says that it foams nicely and leaves him feeling cleaner than what he usually uses (irish springs or zest)

Very messy

I only used it a few times and it started breaking apart and now when you use it there's little black pieces of soap that chip off of it and go all over your tub and your shower curtain so I would say it's very messy for the price
