Great product, but expensive in the long run... easy fix !

The quality of the product is great, it works as described. The only HUGE downside is the replacement blades, they are really expensive and the blades can only be used few times till they become dull ( about 2 or 3 uses ).

I solved my problem by carefully ungluing the plastic with a flat screwdriver, I took out the 3 bad quality blades, and replaced them with double edge astra blades that i bought from amazon, this blades are way higher quality and way cheaper ( 100 blades for 12 dlls ). I just drilled 3 holes and bought 3 set of screws to hold the blades. I got the screws from my local hardware store for less than a dollar. I been using it for 3 weeks now, and i can say it works better than the regular blades and saved me big bucks.

As far a back hair goes, I am a full coated Chewbacca on holiday at Casa de Hoth. I just got the bakblade yesterday. I used it dry, like a Tuskan Raider would, a Tatooine kind of dry. It worked great. I needed a mirror to see how I was doing. I did have to go over the same spots a few times to tame the forest moon of Endor. I feels like a back scratcher. I could see a very tender Ewok getting some mild irritation using it dry. Regardless, I am impressed. I doesn't hurt like waxing. It costs less than a long night at the Mos Eisley Cantina . And considering my Ben Kenobi like loneliness, this is a legitimate answer to getting the Wookiee off of my back. This is the back hair remover you have been looking for.

I know there are a lot of "Sasquatch" and "Chewbacca" jokes running amok on this review thread, but I will tell you that this item works great to remove back hair and even works dry without pain. I don't have a huge amount of back hair so that might have made it easier to use without water, but still for those who are a bit uncomfortable being shirtless or wearing tank tops, this takes care of the issue pretty easily and is worth the money.

The neanderthal that I call a boyfriend has the gene for back hair. It's a full time job to shave his back in multiple steps.....I'm guessing if your reading a review on this device that you are familiar with what I'm talking about.....anyway, I bought this for him on the off chance that I'm not available to shave his back and he needs it done for whatever reason. Great to have as a backup for those moments. He said that it takes some getting used to but of course it does....he's usually just standing there while I'm doing all the work.

Let me start by saying some of the pictures of people sliced and diced almost convinced me to steer clear. So glad I decided to give it a shot anyway.

I tried the whole hair removal cream in the past with disastrous results. I gave myself 3rd degree burns with that crap, especially under the at,a where I didn't even apply it or want hair removed. I've tried waxing, but it's costly and embarrassing when you're a big dude like me. Still, I wanted something to tame the inner ape trying to escape through my back.

My hair was pretty long when I tried this razor, and yet it had no issue giving me a perfect shave on my back. No cuts, no blood bath, not a nick, but a perfect shave over every inch. I did it completely dry, no water, no shaving cream, nothing. I did use a mirror to help line me up, and had to go from different angles - sides, up, down, etc. to reach everything. 5 minutes later, no more back hair. Gone.

The only thing I can say is the people who get ripped up maybe aren't keeping in mind this is a skin contact razor - no side to side movement at all, ever. It would be no different with a regular razor on your face. Combine that with the fact this is 3-4 times wider, single blade and on a super long handle, one must give extra care an attention to ensuring a straight pull movement and nothing side to side. With that in mind, this thing is PERFECT. And the price is an absolute steal compared to alternatives,

My advice - if you came here seeking back hair taming, this is the one.

I own the "Razorba Back Hair Shaver" for over 4 years now.

TODAY I used the BAKblade 1.0 for the first time. So much better than my old one! NO Shave Cream mess and so much easier to use too. I did not apply much pressure for it to shave close and clean. My Back has so much hair, more than a normal guy.

I didn't know what to expect from this thing, but it really works! The ergonomics are just right for me. If you find yourself in need of some grooming in less-than-comfortable places, this will work for you. Just go easy until you get the hang of it-if you're not careful, this thing can nick, scratch, and clip the top of a mole or blemish, leaving you looking like a stuck pig.

The BAKBlade is an excellent product for it purpose! Far easier to shave your own back than getting your girlfriend to do it! And a 1/3rd of the cost of a waxing.... But for what it is, and does; for the money, an extra blade would make this FEEL like a better value. I purchased the original just for a trial. Thinking if it works maybe I will upgrade- no need! The original works great. You need to take your time (duh) be careful, and a little flexible but other than that, works great!

I'm not a super hairy guy but it's summer time and when I'm showing off my traps and guns I hate any hair poking out of my tank. This works really well and doesnt scratch or cut in any way. I dont see how anybody would be able to do that. They just are designed to follow the outer cover which simply glides on your back. Definitely worth the money. All the cheaper versions save you only a few dollars but you cant get replacement blades. So just get this one and save yourself the rouble.
