Great with a little trial and errorby Amy Silvey (4 out of 5 stars)

I bought these to make rolled sugar cookies with royal icing for my son's Jurassic party. It was difficult to get the icing the perfect consistency. (Too hard doesn't flood, too soft fills the lines but leaves danger of flooding over).
I am no stranger to royal icing, but my hopes were that I would have awesome cookies without having to make a ton of different color icings.
Also, the box states that you should let the dough soften a bit for best results. This worked well for the triceratops and stegosaurus, but the T-Rex did not cooperate well without feet breaking off. The legs are very close together and dough gets stuck between them even with a generous amount of flour.
All in all, the cookies turned out great after some elbow grease and trial and error. The kids and adults alike were crazy about them and as always they were the biggest hit of the party. I use the "Best rolled sugar cookie" recipe on All recipes. Google the recipe and you won't be disappointed. Over 4000 reviews 5 star.
I only deducted one star because it wasn't quite as easy as anticipated. My tips are:
Make the t Rex cut outs with firmer dough, roll slightly thinner than the other two Dinos
Use a number two tip and test run royal icing consistency on an imperfect cookie before filling the bag completely
Don't go in like I did expecting quicker royal icing results and you won't be disappointed
Cookies were a hit... but boy does it require work!

This was my first time making cookies with imprints.
The cutouts were great, and also, because each dinosaur comes as two separate pieces (one for the outer shape and one for the imprint) that eases the process a bit.
Now, that said, even with flour, better recipes, etc, I needed a toothpick to get the excess pieces off sometimes, and the imprints weren't as easy as I thought it would be.
But... they came out great, and were a huge hit. So, worth the work, worth the price, worth the time!
Huge birthday party success!

My 3-year-old loves dinosaurs and asked me if he could have dinosaur cookies for his birthday party. I've had very little experience with baking but these dinosaur fossil cookie cutters made super cute cookies! Everyone loved them at the birthday party! In fact, the parents were taking pictures of them and kids kept asking for more!
I agree with the other reviewers that they can be a little tricky to use (cookie dough gets too sticky and stuck in between the bones, hard to transfer to a cookie sheet without breaking it and etc.), but I found a step-by-step tutorial on youtube which made my life so much easier! It uses a sugar cookie recipe. We really like that it's not overly too sweet and the cookies are so crunchy! Yum!!!

I had all my grandchildren come to a cookie decorating party 3 weeks before Christmas to decorate pre-made gingerbread men and sugar cookie stars, snowflakes etc.... We had a blast... One of my best times ever.... The surprise of the party is when I brought out the dinosaur cookies I'd made and decorated for them all... It was a WOW moment.... All smiles and WOW's for nana. Oh, I love these cookie cutters... So easy and fun to work with.... See my images. No regrets on this purchase!

Love this product. My sugar cookies come out in the shape of dinosaurs and they are still soft and chewy! The only issue I have, is using the imprint press, it doesn't seem to make the bones pop out and they tend to rise and be slightly below the rest of the cookie when I'm icing them. Other than that, these are great and always perfect for parties and just for fun
Super Cute !

I can not wait to make cookies with them, they appear strongly made, and they are super cute, Also they are large. not tiny cutters at all. Worth the purchase !!

These are terrific for making dinosaur markings in kinetic sand.
Was an Awesome tool for our local children's museum!!
good but t-rex details are too small.

The cutters have such small edges and intricate details that it is almost impossible to get a "perfectly shaped" cookie. I made two batches of sugar cookies and wasn't able to get one T-rex that didn't break. But they are easy to clean and my kids loved it!
they seem sturdy enough. i still haven't found a PERFECT dough ...

three cookie cutters in a package. they seem sturdy enough. i still haven't found a PERFECT dough to make them from..but they look amazing in raw dough!. the lines are a bit blurred after baking, but can be followed. it will be a matter of perfecting how thick i roll the dough...and how long i bake them..but, one thing is for sure...my 3 year old grandson LOVED the finished product!!

I bought these cookie cutters around Christmas time. For the record they were a present for the little baker in my family who was rapidly frustrated that I kept using the cookie cutters myself. They are easy to use and SUPER easy to clean. The only "danger" is that the cookies are huge!
