I was really disappointed with this productby Laura Dean (1 out of 5 stars)

I was really disappointed with this product. I am a HS teacher and bought this to help secure my classroom door if the lock were ever to be shot out by an active shooter. I placed it exactly as the directions stated, directly under the door knob behind an unlocked door and one of my students (a small framed female) went out to test it. She pushed right through the door and caused the part that goes under the door to snap off.

As an airline pilot who flies to foreign countries 99% of the time, I thought that this would be a good device to have. The first time I was somewhat impressed as the product seemed to work as advertised. The next three hotels I stayed at had doors that opened into the hallway which is not uncommon in Europe and this device could not be used on these doors at all. On my last layover I put it on the door and as always, I tried to open the door just to make sure that everything was secure when I heard a "snap"....To my dismay, I looked down and the apparatus had broken.....the part that goes under the door had snapped at the 90 degree turn. To my further dismay, when I looked at the snapped piece this device looks like it is made out of very cheap cast aluminum which is inherently weak and never should have been used for any security device. If my life had depended on the Door Jammer working that night I would have been disappointed.
Nonetheless, the time period for returns had expired but I anticipated that "Heredomus" (the company that sold the product on Amazon) would stand up for their product and refund my $20 bucks. They not only did not refund anything, they never had the courtesy to respond to the two emails I wrote to them asking for help. Perhaps I received a defective product....perhaps the Door Jammer is just not very strong (my suspicion) but not receiving a reply from the company that sold it to me was disappointing......Heredomus did not back up their product and that is unfortunate......they lost a customer for life.

It may not fit a door that has a tight space between itself and the floor. Many outside doors do have a tight fit at the bottom. The product would work well for doors with small spaces at bottom , Not tight fits and not gapped much as interior doors often are. I wasted my money as it wont work for my exterior or interior doors.

It doesn't work for me. At one door I have a wood floor and at the other door I have a tile floor. In both instances, the foot slides on the floor, and the door can be opened without difficulty.

Bought this for a little piece of mind. Unfortunately, it won't be coming from this device.
I read some of the reviews about not having too much space under the door, but I truly believed there to be barely any under mine. Yet, the foot was completely detaching from the body of the device by the time I got it to a satisfactory height.
Also, take into mind that if you're using this in a carpeted area, the padding will make the distance needed to secure the device even greater once the carpet is fully compressed.
Nice idea but,

on the 3 doors I tried to use it on, it only worked on 1 door, my bathroom door. I really don't need to lock myself in the bathroom. The threaded shaft would have been great if it had been longer by 3 or 4 inches to accommodate all doors and, going through the metal above the angle to the door. The aluminum it's made of is so thin I worry if it could stand the pressure of some one kicking in on the door.
part that goes under the door broke

I wanted to like this product. It was small and seemed like a great idea. However, it simply wasn't sturdy enough. After installing it properly and snugly, I gave it a few pushes just by twisting my hips and putting force on the door with my open palm. And to my surprise, the part that goes under the door broke apart cleanly from the rest of the device. Good thing I was the one who first knew this product couldn't really jam the door, and not some intruder.
If it broke just by giving the door a few strong pushes, imagine just how easy this would have broken if i had run and attempted to shoulder mh way through the door. Thumbs down.
