Don't count on the "lifetime" warranty!by KP (1 out of 5 stars)

I was tired of replacing my Teflon pans every few years and these were recommended by the sales staff at a local kitchen store. I was sold on the lifetime finish warranty. I made a HUGE investment in replacing all my kitchen pans. Within less than 18 months, everything started to stick to the pans. I had cared for the pans METICULOUSLY, always hand washed, always used gentle utensils, never cooked above medium heat. So, I contacted the company for replacements and was given a standard decline letter stating I hadn't cared for them properly. Then, they stated that they could tell by the photos of the exterior of the pan that I had used higher than recommended heat. That's funny because I never sent them any photos of the exterior of the pans. My advice, don't spend the extra money on these pans, unless you only want them sort term. For the first year, they were really nice. But any pans, even cheap ones, give you a good year or two. When I see a warranty that says LIFETIME, that means decades and decades to me. I'm further reporting GreenPan to the BBB for misrepresenting their product. If you already own these, enjoy them while you can!
4 months later and I'm trashing it

I originally reviewed this as a great product, but now that I've had it for a grand total of 4 months, it's no longer non stick, it doesn't heat evenly, and I'm trashing it. I also originally posted that the handle heats up to a dangerous level, which is still completely true. Although mine will never heat up to burn me while it's sitting in the garbage, so there's that positive.
Surprisingly small, surprisingly useful!

It was hard to imagine just how small 5 inches is, but it's pretty small. It seemed a little light, so I was worried about how it would hold up on my glass top electric range. Also, taking heed the other reviews they talked about the hot handle, I bought a silicon sleeve to slip over it. The handle does get hot, & a sleeve takes care of that. However, it does tend to tilt it a little up off the burner, so for even heat, leave the sleeve off until you're ready to lift the pan. Usually, by the time you have some food actually cooking in it, that will hold the pen flat even with the sleeve on it. See my pictures.
I use this for my morning open-faced egg sandwich, using one egg, an ounce or less of chopped or shredded meat such as low fat ham, a sausage link, or a slice of turkey bacon, Plus a quarter cup of shredded cheese which is just a pinch, + 1/2 of an oral eat round sandwich then or equivalent, toasted. Together they make a lovely open-faced breakfast sandwich which is filling, flavorful, and has both protein and carbohydrates to see me through to lunch. Depending on the meat and the cheese I use, it runs between 250 and 350 calories.
I have been using it for several months now, and I either spray a tiny bit of oil olive oil or I cant believe its not butter spray, or rub on a little bit of butter. Whatever I use, I follow it by wiping it out with a paper towel, just to leave a thin film to protect the non-stick coating, just in case. I have never had a problem with anything sticking.
To free my sandwich I simply flip the pan over onto a plate.
Backpacking and cooking.

It's a little heavy but I use a Dremel to cut off most of the handle. Leaving about one half of one side left. The non-stick part is absolutely fantastic for a little backpacking stoves especially ones like the pocket rocket which are more like a Bunsen burner. You can cook delicate dishes on this including Pizza and pancakes even with small backpacking stoves. The slight downside is that it is on the small side but a little heavy but the positive trade-off for that is that the thicker material distributes the heat extremely well allowing you to cook much better
Garbage pan and you will burn your hand

No silicon cover handle makes this item very difficult to use. Handle always gets extremely HOT
Attempted to buy a separate silicon handle cover and shape and size of handle makes it difficult to find a proper one
Also weight of a handle cover always tips the entire pan
Probably why they DONT supply one
Save your money on this particular pan
Buy one with a predetermined silicon cover that comes with unit
Time to replace. Not even going to try warranty.

Used for about 1.5 years, time to replace because not only it sticks, which I don't mind too much, but is unable to get cleaned completely. I never used abrasive sponge, only microfiber soft one. It was only like ten bucks, I will order another one to use for another year or two. Until it lost it's coating, it was magical. I'm surprised it has lifetime warranty on it, they will go bankrupt if they take it all in. It's a false advertisement to post about lifetime warranty when it has no lifetime value.
Handy for melting butter on the stove top

If this cute GreenPan had a handle that did not get hot while cooking, it would be the best for melting butter, which is the only reason I bought it. It is just the right size for doing this, as I do not like to melt butter in my microwave, and I nearly lost my ceramic butter warmer by putting it on a stove burner! It only took one "ouch" for me to remember to use a potholder with GrreenPan the next time! I still recommend it with the potholder needed caveat.
Not for everyone; but I love it.

This is great for ONE egg, or other small quantities. Who wants to clean a big pan every time a small sauce or other ingredient needs to be heated? It really is small; so if you have a gas stove with a cheap grid over the burner, you might want to avoid this pan. Use something to protect your hand when you use the handle. It is very small. Fortunately, the handle is light enough so that it does not unbalance the pan. It is easy to clean, and has a definite cuteness factor.

I love ceramic pans - I have a whole set at home which I use daily. I was looking for a pan to just cook eggs in. This one works great with a few caveats. 1. It will only fit one egg. Seriously (and I realize I didn't measure so it's my fault) this pan is TINY. I was expecting it to be able to handle at least two eggs. 2. In line with the whole "tiny" thing - it nearly falls through my burner grates on my gas stovetop. Obviously people with solid tops or electric burners won't run into this problem, but it is something to be aware of. 3. The little handle get HOLY COW HOT HOT HOT!!! I'm not kidding around here. My husband nearly gave himself a nasty burn by grabbing the handle the first time we used it. Definitely needs a cover or hot pad or something.
Perfect for egg sandwiches!

I bought this picturing it bigger, so I was a bit hesitant. I was so wrong! This is perfect for a quick egg sandwich in the morning. It's easy to clean and with its size is a quick job. I've had it for over a year and it's held up really well. I have found that it doesn't fit more than 2 eggs very well, so if you're cooking for more than one person or want more to eat this isn't something that will work well. Very happy with it!
