Product Description
Kitty Cot Original (Large) measures 25-1/2″ wide x 14″ deep (width measured from outside edges of suction cups on Kitty Cot). Actual frame dimension is 14" x 23-1/2". Minimum window glass for use is 25" wide x 21" high. Kitty Cots attach to glass windows, mirrors and smooth non-porous surfaces using four PATENTED Giant Suction Cups made in the USA. Each cup is rated for 12 pounds so the Kitty Cot will hold about 25 pounds of cat(s). Kitty Cots work indoors and outdoors. The frame is made of PVC plastic pipe and fittings. It's not glued together so it can be taken apart. The Kitty Cot hammock is a super-tough black nylon fabric called "Tiger-Mesh". It's so strong that it's virtually impossible to rip or tear, and cleans easily with soap and water. Our design is so simple that anyone can put it up, and best of all you need no tools to install it. Lay your cat's favorite blanket or pad down to make it even more bed-like and comfortable. Install it next to an outside bird feeder or another action location and your cat will be entertained for hours.Features

Great perch for my catsby Amazon Customer (5 out of 5 stars)

Great perch for my cats. They almost fight over it. Was skeptical at first about those suction cups but they hold strong. Just make sure to clean the windows and the suction cups before placing.

Dear Kitty Cot Maker,
My forever humans purchased this structural item for me soon after I came to my forever home as a means to win my approval, as if rescuing me wasn't enough. They are good humans, and love seeing me spend lots of time in it. I get to watch the stupid squirrels outside the window, chatter at the birdies, and sleep in the sun to my kitty heart's content. I don't even want to sleep in my humans' big fluffy cat bed. I think they approve of this although cat fur is the best fur.
Even though you are not a cat, you must be very clever and you're quite good with your opposable thumbs. I salute you, Kitty Cot Maker.
With Catitude,
Bo

At first, we were a bit skeptical if the cat would like it. The bottom is cloth and so provides uneven footing for cats who jump into it. However, the cat adjusted to it quickly when we left a couple cat treats to entice her to try it up there. She now spends every morning in the window watching the birds and squirrels. We also didn't know if the giant suction cups really would hold, but so far, even with moisture, there has not been any slippage or anything to worry about. They have stayed firmly affixed. The one note is that there are two sizes. We got the standard size, so that limited our window options. This was simply because we didn't measure before we ordered, and it's not really a big deal. Just worth noting so the suction cups fit on the glass for whatever version you buy. Our cat loves this and has made it her own. Really good idea and product!
My cats loved it so much I just bought a second one!

I am posting a pic...it is sturdy enough to hold both my cats, and Otis (the orange tabby) is a 15 pounder! It is solid, never loosens, we have repositioned it and it's good as new. and the cats truly love it. Can't say enough good about them!
A great idea, especially if you don't have a window sill.

My cat, Bug, is 14-15 lbs. all by herself (so I felt that a suction cup good up to 15 lbs. x 4 would work just fine). I live in a basement, so my only real window is my door, and I know she misses having windows (previous apartments had big, sliding glass doors).
However when I first installed it, the bottom suction cups gave way... and my cat DID get dumped! I heard it happen from the otehr room, came in and only saw the bed hanging off the door by the top suction cups (which stayed put) and the cat walking away with "dignity. HOWEVER! Later I realized this must be because my friend (who helped me install it because I'm currently disabled due to a work injury) tried to make the bed at a slight sloping down angle to the door (kind of to "cradle" and if she fell, he's fall into the door, not be dumped unceremoniously to the floor). *This* makes the cups slide. The bed NEEDS to be flat and level as that's how it presses the bottom cups against the surface to keep them from slipping. Once I fixed it, it wasn't a problem and it works great and is very solid!
At any rate though, we did some tinkering and added two bathroom toilet seat screws that permanently attach the bottom cups to the PVC, something I think may be a good idea to add to future versions of this product.
Overall, good product, my first worry was the suction cups flying off and a cat going sprawling (which gave me great giggles and was disapointed when I didn't see any reviews with such stories before I bought it, which is honestly one reason I wanted to try this product out) but when PROPERLY installed, it works great and the cat loves it! I know she missed her "TV" watching the great outdoors.
MUST HAVE! Do NOT get Sunny Seat - suction cups aren't strong as Kitty Cot

This item is AMAZING. DO NOT GET KNOCK-OFFS! A little background, but this guy makes all his Kitty Cots from his garage. Last I checked, he still makes him by himself and his wife sews the fabric. The suction cups that come are huge and patented. My two cats will not leave it alone. I actually first bought one, and then when it came in, I had to buy another one because they are territorial and won't share one for too long.
Installation was very easy, if you can call it an installation. It took me a minute to put mine up. The cats immediately gravitated towards it because ours love high places (as most do). The material feels very durable. We have two cats: one is 13.4 pounds and the second is 11.5 pounds. It stays on from them jumping onto it from four or five feet away, as they do from our desk. It is easily stored by simply pulling out the perch from the bottom suctions and just letting it hang if you want to pull the blinds over it. I put a towel on it for them to lay on, but am thinking of going to buy a little cushion. I don't think they care either way.
I found the guy's YouTube, and it's hilarious. He inventor of the Kitty Cot is an airplane pilot who flies for some company, and he likes to make things in his garage. He's totally honest about the price for the parts in his product, and even encourages you to make your own if you feel like you can make them cheaper.
I love this product and even better that the owner is a lovable individual, who is hard working and transparent about his practices.
Forever recommend.
[...] is one of his videos btw. He has tons about his product, and his other products :) Go Jim!

My two kitty rescues are taking to this nicely. I bought two, and sometimes they sleep together on the same one. Both cots have stayed put since they were placed a month ago. A little fake sheep skin gives it a nice touch.

Add this perch to your window and you will have just upgraded the neighborhood with a penthouse suite. I have bought countless toys, treats, devices, gadgets, structures, the list goes on for our big guy Ziggy and it's not uncommon he finds the empty box more interesting than what came in it. And by more interesting, I mean a whole 5 minutes than the usual 3 seconds. We wanted a perch for him to look out the window which didn't involve our kitchen table. I'm hopeful we have now reached a cease fire and will both agree on this cat perch. We had our doubts that the design would hold our 14 pound big guy (15 after xmas visits with grandma) taking mass, gravity and the whole suction cup thing. But it does hold his weight, very securely. It hasn't budged at all since we installed it with him moving about. It's a minimalist look which we like, it doesn't obstruct the view outside or dominate the room in any way. We've been watching him look out the window and Ziggy loves the view outside as well as being up high enough to see us around the house too. I'm now ordering a second one for our currently very jealous other cat.

Muffin the Cat LOVES her kitty cot. We have moved it from window to window depending on the sun and she finds it where ever it is. Our kitty is a very LARGE Maine Coon mix and we have have had almost no issues with the cot staying up on the window. If the window is at all dirty or the suction cups are dirty (even with a little dust) it will not stick. So follow the directions on cleaning off your window first.
We bought this for our fluffy friend because we have no place to comfortably put a cat tree. This is such a great solution that I think I'll buy another one when we save a little more money. The only drawback is that the color is kind of ugly, as we don't have any brown in our house and it seems to only come in one color!
