Buyer Beware!!

Whatever you do....do NOT buy this speaker!! If i could give 0 stars I would. I purchased 2 Bass Egg speakers ...and while they operated quite alright at first, as all the other reviewers have posted...One of my speakers stopped operating properly after 6 months. They are supposed to have a one year warranty...well there is no way to contact the company to file a claim!!!! I sent messages via Amazon. ..no response. I sent emails to the customer support email provided on their site. ..still no response. I call and it is a voicemail...and to my surprise the voicemail box is full and you cannot leave a voice message. Now if this doesn't scream scam. ..I don't know what does. This is why I always wait to give reviews. ..because you never know what your experience will be until you have had the item for a little while.

By the way the issue with the speaker is that the volume suddenly stopped working. The sound is extremely low. ..doesn't matter how high I set my bluetooth music source. That is reason enough to not purchase these. ..there are wayyyyy better bluetooth speakers on Amazon anyway. It could be something faulty or just a bad speaker. ..but I will never know, because I can't get anyone from Bass Egg to respond!

Not worth the money

I was excited about this product after my sister told me about it when she saw it at an electronics store. Very disappointing I must say. It doesn't work at all on glass surfaces because it makes the glass vibrate and that's all you can hear. I've been using it with my iPhone and its not very loud at all anymore though it seemed better when I first got it, which is why I didn't return it right away. There is no volume control on the device and I have my phone turned up all the way and its not very loud indoors much less trying to use it outdoors. Sadly, I have exceeded the 30 day return timeframe and can no longer return or I would. I can't recommend this device for the price. I bought a UE boom bluetooth speaker for half the cost of this device and its much, much louder and has a very good sound.

It is cool for portability but it is not the best sound producing unit I have used. I bought this mainly to demonstrate a product we sell in our store. I took it home to try on my patio. Forget it. I will buy another blue tooth speaker for real results..this is going back to my store.

It's a good novolty item but doesn't have the best sound. It's hard to find a surface to place the Bass Egg for the sound quality to be good. The video on YouTube shows a guy placing it on the car. It does sound good on a car but that is about it.

The bass eggs works pretty well. My 23 year old son who is much more tech knowledgeable than me was impressed. I like not having to worry about blowing out the speakers, which is what happened to the bluetooth speaker I previously had. The bass egg does an okay job of handling the bass is music but it doesn't do as well with music that has very deep bass elements and it doesn't play as loudly as I might want at times without rattling but it's good for general use. It's not as good if you want to crank up the volume. My son says it does a pretty good job when you compare it with other similar speakers. I have found it works best on large, solid wooden structures. My kitchen counter is the best spot I've found downstairs so far with the chest of drawers has turned out to be the best spot upstairs. I've also found that the trunk being used as a coffee table (filled with stuff) is also a good spot.

The directions that are included are extremely minimal. I like that they provide very quick start up but I'd like to have access to more information if I need it. There is this sticky stuff on the bottom of the bass egg. It's probably the same stuff you might find that adheres a new credit card to the paper when you receive it in the mail. There was no mention of it in the pamphlet that was included. I'm assuming that it is to keep the bass egg from sliding around when in use. I would have liked to have known that for sure.

This little egg is amazing! I handed it to my Grandson and started the music going on my iphone, then told him to set the egg on the table. He was wowed and it's hard to wow a 15 year old. We love trying it out on different surfaces. Well worth the money.

Very cool device. However, the USB jack which charges the device broke after using it twice, and the company has ignored several emails about repair/replacement. Right now I have a cool looking $99 paperweight.
