Cool, but disappointing
by Michaella (2 out of 5 stars)

The idea of a knife coin is amazing, but the problem I had with it was it didn't stay together. I would put it in my pocket or bag and it would just come apart on it's own, I had to tie a rubber band around it to keep it together. I was pretty disappointed with this product.

Not worth the money

It was definitely not worth the price. The coin is held together by a cheap elastic. There is no hinge or anything to really secure the blade in place. I bought this as a gift and was really disappointed.

Way too much money given its setbacks

This is a neat product, but once you take it apart it doesn't stay together in your pocket. There is a very weak band that holds it together in the packaging. You'd need to have a small rubber band around it to ensure you don't cut yourself with it in your pocket.

Cant store safely, completely pointless.

This is a great quality product, don't get me wrong. It's beautiful and well-crafted. My problem is, there's nothing that keeps it from opening. Even a tiny amout if gravity (tilting it slightly off 90 degrees) makes it fall open. so you're pretty much limited to keeping it on a shelf in your bedroom where you'll never use it. It's completely pointless. Even if you used it to open letters, its incredibly easy to lose the other half because it falls off as soon as you pick it up. A possible solution is using a tiny rubber band to keep it closed, but that breaks the illusion. I wanted to be able to keep it in my pocket to open letters or packages at work, but I ended up buying something I'll never use. Disappointed.

Coin knife is awesome

I really thought this is just a cool knife to add to anyone's collection. I probably won't ever carry it but it's a definite conversion piece. It seems to be made well. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I love it. But I am a knife freak

The band isn't the most durable, but how else can you hold it together? I love it. But I am a knife freak.
