Decent blanket treated with insect resistance. My wife and I spend time in a woodsy area and camping where mosquitos, ticks, and other biting insects are present. I mainly got the blanket for inside of a tent to prevent ticks. We also have Insect Shield brand socks and permetherin treated pants, shirts, boots, and hats and the combination of that plus 30% deet on exposed areas has kept biting insects away and we've found one dead tick on our socks. So as part of an array of overall prevention, this blanket is a nice addition. It is light weight so not for heavy duty use and seems it will do a good job for lightweight use.

My security blanket!

I am an avid gardener and contracted Lyme Disease 2 years ago. In addition to clothing with insect shield protection I purchased this blanket to kneel on when weeding. So far I have not found any ticks after being in the garden or woods. We live in prime Lyme tick area and I would not rely just on the blanket on the ground. Getting suited-up in my gardening clothes is a project in itself! Spray, suit, head net and hat, rubber boots, gloves, then grab the blanket and I am ready to garden.

Interesting way to protect yourself from bites when you are not moving

We were a little skeptical that this might work but it did. We've visited the same resort frequently and would get what we thought were chigger bites because the beach beds are on the sand next to shrubbery. We'd come home with dozens of bites. This trip - only one bite and it might have occurred elsewhere. The blanket is wide enough for two people.

We place this on the ground underneath our sleeping bags to keep the bugs away. We also have the smaller size to put in the seat of our camp chairs to keep the crawling insects and ticks away while we are camping.

Works exactly as described. We had it in the trunk of my car and was at my sons little league game getting eaten up by misquotes!! Then duh I ran to the car got the blanket and it worked Perfectly!! No smell!!

The blanket does repel insects as advertised.

I'm convinced that it protects him from Ticks.

I got this to use as a cover for my dog's favorite piece of furniture, it works just swell. So far this year we haven't seen any ticks so no comments on the killing ability yet.

I have only had it for a week, but I've used it twice, and it seems to work for most bugs. There was a spider crawling on it at one point, but that is the only thing I saw while in the grass.

Don't know if it was because the blanket was so effective or a combo of blanket & meds or just luck but pup did not get a single tick all summer - and we went hiking regularly in one of the most tick-infested regions of the country.

This is the BEST!!!! I was at a camp ground and everyone around me was getting eaten alive by the bugs.... EXCEPT FOR ME!!! Will be ordering more for my friends!!!
