Timber rattler should stick to it's bowie knives

This knife kinda disappointed me, but I wasn't really expecting good performance. This is a 10 - 20 dollar knife in a market where similar ones would be at least $100 If you want a working piece you should buy Cold Steel or Opinel. However, this isn't to say it's an absolutely terrible knife, because it can still be used to cut thin, light materials. We accidentally ordered two of these knives and found that the production value can vary from knife to knife. One of them looked great, and the other not so much. The first I opened had a loose handle that had a gap in it, and had a simple wooden handle, it also had a slight piece of metal missing from the blade. The second looked and felt much better and had a glossy wooden handle, this one was a perfect display item. These would be much better display item because the locking mechanisms aren't strong enough to hack into wood with, so don't take them camping. Like other buyers experienced, these knives came with black metal shavings inside of them, but these can be cleaned easily. It should also be noted that while they might appear to have slightly rounded handles, these knives have flat wooden scales.

Low Craftsmanship But Cool Gigantic Knife
by Sean (3 out of 5 stars)

It's cool because it's big. It's not so cool because it's made just ok with a lot of blemishes. Mine came dirty with scratches and dings. There are several areas where they didn't even care. Chipped areas in the handle with gaps and the blade when closed has some bit of play. Had they put just a little bit of attention in production this would be pretty good. But as it is it's just a slapped together throw it around and ding it up before they ship it product. I almost want to send this one back and exchange it it's so low quality craftsmanship. But I don't expect another one would be better. Maybe I just got a bumb one. It's still pretty cool though and if they stepped up the quality just a little bit I would buy more.

it's cool but the lock didn't last long

It really is as big as you think. It's put together with pins so you can't take it apart to clean or tighten up, or even fix. It may have had some fine scratches on it but the lock mechanism has a very cheap designed piece of metal over it not to be confused with the actual lock mechanism that I would only assume would eventually give out on all versions. After mild use I can now fold it without unlocking it. DO NOT ever hit the back of the blade because it will unlock and may cut you. Good camp knife if you know the faults with it. Could use a pocket clip maybe even a more expensive upgraded better designed model. If your looking for a large actually useful EDC I can vouch for the espada, I had both versions and the cheaper slim version had the best comfort

I saw this knife and just had to get it. I laughed out loud when it arrived. I kept it on my desk leading up to a family camping trip. It makes an AWSOME letter opener. On the trip pulled it out to chop some onions and the focus of the whole crew came immediately to rest on this stupendous, outrageous knife. It works pretty well as a camp cook knife. I prefer a flat ground blade for cooking but this thing is so much FUN I left it in the cook box and bought another one for my desk. Both lock well, are well made and are nice and sharp out of the box. If you have teenagers in your life and want to blow their growing minds, GET ONE!

Andre the Giants Pocket Knife

I am a collector of Knives & Machetes.

Nothing huge but I have about 20 Bowie knives , 17 Fixed Hunting knives , 10 Machetes and about 5 pocket knives .

When this arrived in the mail / I opened package , and just smiled .

Smiled for a few long seconds like some weirdo Hahahaha.....

This thing just cracks me up !!

Reminds me of the pocket knife made especially for Andre the Giant .

Check out my Buck 110 folding knife compared to this Rattler .

Sharp too !!

Was a little tuff at first to close but it seems fine now .

I don't think I'll ever use but as a collector it's a must have .

Excellent Novelty Item
by T-Bone Danger Skillet (4 out of 5 stars)

This knife is garbage! But I did not buy this thing to bushcraft and batton logs with. I bought this as a giant middle finger to my states laws saying a I In my state a fixed blade is a deadly weapon that only LEO can carry but any size folding knife is perfectly fine. That said, this knife is trash. Fit and finish is awful. It arrived dirty and dull. Feels and smells gross. Do not buy this item if you are looking for a good quality blade of this size. You will need to bite the bullet and spend the money on a Cold Steel Espada XL if you want anything resembling quality. If you want a joke item or a big F* OFF blade, this is it. I love pulling this brick of a knife out of my pocket to use on some silly task like opening a letter or cleaning the dirt from my nails. If it were of a slightly better quality or actually came with an edge on it, I would have given it 5 stars. I intend to have it engraved with the state law wording just to get that middle finger up in the air good and far because this steaming pile of wood and metal is about as ridiculous as the idea that a fixed blade is somehow even more dangerous. This is not a work horse and should NOT be used for any task other than being a statement for a cynical bastard or a trashy show piece. This is some serious mall ninja action!

Get it. You won't be sorry.

This is my second one of these. The first one is permanently with our family Camping Kitchen box for everyone to enjoy. I'd rather cut vegetables with a flat ground knife but this is so AWSOME looking I often make do. It is a really fun knife. Mine locks up well. No appreciable movement though I wouldn't use it as a pry bar or anything like that. Think of it as a solidly built, well finished novelty knife and prepare for amazement. Everyone who sees it can't seem to look away or stop smiling. I plan on building a belt sheath for it for holiday camping trips. I would love to have it handy if someone asks: "anyone got a knife?"... "Well, yes. I do!" I 'll likely give the second one away too. I sure hope they make more. ;)

Fun knife to show off.

This thing is cheap but fun. Its huge size pretty much rules it out of most practical use to begin with. Thus I was not disappointed to find that it wasn't a very high quality item. It is lots of fun to keep around or display as a novelty item and friends are always impressed. The one problem with it being so big is that it is near impossible to close it when it locks open. I usually have to use both hands to push the button against a table corner to get it to close.

ITS ENOURMOUS!!!

This blade is absolutely ENOURMOUS. Can't even begin to fit it into a pocket if you wanted too. It feels as though it weighs 5lbs. Is very nice though. I uploaded a picture so you can see this knife compared to a much smaller pocket sized version of it.

Hilarious!!

I bought this for my husband for Christmas. We were laughing almost instantly as he continued to pull it out to ask if we needed a hand opening boxes.

He brought it to work & he & his co-workers had some laughs about it also. I'm sure you can about imagine that one...men in a shop pulling out their knives to see who has the biggest one. Lol

It's definitely not just for show. While it may be a bit awkward, it's sharp!
