Product Description
The GoBites Duo is a fork and spoon set that offers the best of both portability and functionality. When nested together, the Duo is among the most compact travel utensil sets on the market. The utensils are each long enough to be used separately and both are optimized for what they need to do - say goodbye to silly sporks that are neither a good fork nor a good spoon. The Duo's spoon holds enough to eat soup easily and the handle is contoured for spreading butter, cream cheese, etc. The fork tines are long enough to twirl noodles with ease and the outer "splitter tines" of the fork are tapered for quick and convenient soft-food splitting. The fork and spoon can also be connected end-to-end to create one long spoon or fork that's perfect for eating dehydrated meals on a backpacking trip, mixing food in a pot, etc. The locking features of the utensils have been carefully designed for easy cleaning - there are no nooks and crannies you can't reach, so the Duo easy to clean, even when you're miles from the nearest dishwasher. The Duo is made from high-temp nylon that is incredibly strong, BPA-free, PC-free, and Phthalate-free. Dishwasher safe (top rack).Features
- The Civilized Spork - A minimalist utensil with spoon and fork ends, the humangear GoBites Duo is perfect for travel, camping, work commute, kids, and more

I like how sturdy and easy to hold these are. You can eat things like chicken with the fork. I was worried that the spoon would be awkward to eat from because of the shape. It's not awkward at all though. It feels a little different from eating with a typical spoon but its not unpleasant and you quickly get used to it. I use these when eating my lunch at work.
My only issue is that its sometimes a little hard to clean inbetween the spines of the fork. Overall, I recommend this set and I plan on ordering a spare set.
Edit: Bought a spare set. I still have my first set with no issues.

I got this Humangear GoBites Duo Blue in 2015. I have been using it ever since. It is my go to for when on the go or when at work. I always keep this in my messenger bag. This has been one of the most useful and handy items ever. I am one pleased customer.

More civil than a spork, more useful as well either as spoon or fork.
When extended, provides ample length to dig into a freeze dried meal bag.
Strong material will not easily break and locks together well either to extend or store.

When I travel I like to have some sort of quality eating utensils for those times that substandard utensils are provided. I've used various sporks, and a full set camping utensils. This has been the best solution for me. You get a sturdy spoon and fork, which is also lightweight. It works especially good for things like take-out Chinese. Great travel accessory.

I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by this tool. I usually take a Mountain House pouched meal with me when hiking and had other sporks, but they were a little short when reaching the bottom of the pouch. I didn't want to carry one of the larger spoons so this was perfect. You can use the utensils individually or lock one to the other for a longer reach. Perfect and definitely worth carrying with you. It's also strong and lightweight.

All the youtube videos show everyone using long titanium sporks for backpacking. I personally prefer these.

The Gobites Duo is my newest favorite thing in my backpacking kit. It reaches the bottom of a food pouch with ease while being lighter than my long titanium spoon. More importantly, it answers the age-old question of "spoon or fork?" with a "yes" by giving you both, instead of the far less satisfying "spork" compromise.

Light weight, useful, takes up little space, nicely proportioned spoon and fork and, nice material to eat off.
Neat design and will last a lot longer then the Light My Fire plastic sporks.

Despite the price, I like this spoon fork setup. It uses a plastic that is a much higher grade then the Light My Fire brand sporks. It should not be so expensive for what it is but it is something you can count on for backpacking. I like the three piece set made by this company too. If they ever go on sale I will have one.
