I didn't realize when I bought it that the cover came off. Just wanted a mug with the picture directly on it. My mistake for not reading it thoroughly.

So I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas, without even really reading the description, and I just took it out of the Amazon box. Wow... I am so glad I got this. He is going to LOVE it!
