Don't use it quite as advertised but...

I am happy with the bed butler but can't use it on my bed. I have an ergonomic bed that moves and every time I adjust the bed the butler goes all cattywaumpus. Also the only place to put it where it stays put for long is right where my legs go when I want to get in or out of bed. Pinches my legs in the process. However, I love how much it holds and since I have a drawer in my nightstand that I don't have to get into very much, I closed the drawe on the flap and it works great for me. Here's a pic to show you.

I would give Bed Butler more stars if possible! The Bed Butler looked perfect, but when it arrived it was not quite right for my wooden frame reproduction bed. I almost returned it, but noticed their small card enclosed in the packaging that said they would work out a way to make their product fit any bed with a phone number. I called on a Sat morning, Greg helped me describe what he thought would work. On Monday he emailed me that he had made the part and had sent it. By Weds I received a perfectly designed part that made the Bed Butler hold all my remotes, cords , iPad etc, better than advertised! The best customer service ever!

Great but big and needs more dividers.

This is really great! A little big, and not enough dividers in my opinion. There's enough room for a tablet and then some but a divider would make room for things that are likely to fall over like pens or phones. There is one divider I just suggest there be one more. It's a sturdy plastic which is important and keeps it shape it's clear so it doesn't stand out however while I would buy this I feel it may be a little expensive for what is essentially just plastic. The makers may want to take the price down a notch. However I haven't been able to find on as good or like this so I can understand why they'd be able to get away with charging so much.

I was a little skeptical at first but decided to go ahead and get one. I am glad that I did. It is a lot bigger than I had imagined. I can easily fit my laptop, cell phone, tv remote, and blu ray remote all at the same time.

Honestly, I tried to break it. Not going to happen. Very very sturdy stuff.

Assembly was easy. When I saw I had to assemble it I was a little upset but it is two simple screws, that's it. This will work with all bed types.

I was a little skeptical at first that this would extend out too far from the bed that I would scrape my leg getting out of bed, but it does not and it a wonderful little gadget.

I use this to store the following:
1. iPad
2. Kindle (original)
3. Kindle Fire
4. Two pairs of reading glasses
5. Two chargers
6. Flashlight

That's a LOT of stuff right at the tip of my fingers!!!

If you order this product and it works on your bed out of the box, it's great.

If you order this and need to take advantage of the free "customized hardware" that they offer to make this device compatible with other beds, good luck.

My bed extends about 2 inches out from the mattress, which means that the Bed Butler can't sit flush against the mattress and box springs. So the arm that extends in between the mattress and box spring is missing several inches of grip, leading it to slide out over time. I ordered a custom arm, just requesting it be 3 inches longer than the standard.

The next day, I was told my item would ship out the following day. 9 days later, it hadn't arrived, so I wrote back... they could find no record of it having been sent, so they promised to send me out a new order the following Monday (which they did) and include a free gift for my trouble (which they didn't bother to do).

When the item arrived, it was very clear that they hadn't even read my request, as this piece was an "L-shaped" acrylic plate that just plainly won't work for what I need, instead of the longer flat piece that I requested.

I paid $7.95 for shipping, by the way, which is way more than the $3.07 it cost to actually ship the "free" item... maybe that was a very nice $5 bubble envelope?

This was a gift for my parents, and have heard wonderful things from them regarding this product. Words from my 67 year old father, "solves all my problems of bedside organization and storage of things I would normally lose." explained that the product was easy to use and fit right under his mattress perfectly snug and secure. I would highly recommend this product for anyone who enjoys reading, watching tv, playing on your iPad or simply lounging in bed and needs a little help with organizing bed items. GREAT PRODUCT! also processed and shipped in a timely fashion.

specifically wanted a see through one... so i didn't have to dig to see what i left in there...

big enough for a couple books, laptop and several phones..

but i can see it being fragile if i bump it really hard (ie. step on it while getting off the bed)

scrapes my leg if i fail to avoid it getting off the bed...

them selling the divider is a ripoff... really? just include the damn divider (good for remotes, and stuff you want to stay upright)

Very sturdy but it sticks out and the plastic scrapes my leg every time I get out of bed and I had to pay extra 6$ for a tiny piece of plexiglass that slides in to separate the area for remote controls.ok, I didn't have to, I could have done without it. Needless to say that this bed Butler has been retired and will be moving to someone else's house. Wasted approx 38$

I wish this had included some attachments for different types of bed frames. We got it for my son's dorm room and couldn't make it work with his kind of bed, which is a shame, because the caddy itself seems rock solid and would've been a perfect solution if the fit had worked. Disappointed.
