Fun $10 toy that builds rhythm and coordination skills
by Michael Hurt (5 out of 5 stars)
January 9, 2018

Pros:
+Great small size fir kids hands and not too small for adults either
+Easy to turn on, off, and change modes
+Can change volume to 3 levels
+Auto-shut off after a short time of not playing
+Keeps high score and verbally states the score each time you play

Cons:
-Seems to increase in difficulty/speed rather slowly. My first time playing I got over 100 points, and that was really only because I'd been going for so long it just got a bit boring and hard to keep focus on the repetition. HOWEVER, this is likely due to me having drumming skill. Other friends and family typically scored 10-30 and had fun trying to get higher scores (others got up to 50+ eventually)
-I can see this eventually becoming a toy that doesn't get played with, because it really only has one mode and may become repetitive. For the low price though, it's still a good value in my eyes. Take it out at parties or gatherings and everyone seems to enjoy having a go at it.

Bottom Line: Overall a great toy for $10 that is fun and builds rhythm and coordination skills! My is really just a minor con, if even a con at all for some people.

Bop it Rocks it!
by Kids Toys purchaser (5 out of 5 stars)

My Great-Niece asked for Bop It! She wanted the $50 one. I bought this on instead. She immediately began playing. And over the next five days she got me and her sister hooked. It's really fun for solo play. But even better with "pass it" where everyone gets a turn. We played at home. And it was in play for many a car ride. She and her sister are 13. I immediately bought a second one for another family. All enjoyed playing from age 11 down to 5 1/2. Almost tempted to but one for me!

Pocket Size, Simple, Transportable ~ Overall Great!
by stephanie brenning (5 out of 5 stars)

I bought this quickly and didn't realize it was the micro version of this game, but you know, my 10 year old son and 7 year old daughter just love it. I was kinda sad when i saw i failed and bought the smaller one. BUT this one fits in their backpack and can easily be whipped out to entertain them (and myself actually) in a situation where they are just about to find some trouble. It has three simple commands: Twist, Bop It and Pull It; which is actually perfectly fine. It has a pass it mode of play which includes everyone. It has volume control by twisting the top yellow handle, and to change from pass it mode to single mode pull the blue handle. Simple and entertaining.

Annoying Just as Expected
by DOT (5 out of 5 stars)

My daughter always plays with these when we go near a toy section. I bought her one for Christmas because I knew would actually play with it.... it gets annoying really quick. I have to banish her to another room once she gets going. I tried playing with it once and got a pretty high score. I probably looked like a dork with the faces I was making. I would recommend this for a pre teen kid but make them go as far away as possible when they play with it or by noise canceling head phones.

Great class incentive!
by D. Trees (5 out of 5 stars)
June 9, 2019

I use this as a whole class incentive. I had a challenging kindergarten class this year. To keep them on track I had to up the positives. I put a 5 frame on the board and every time they were being scholars I would fill in a square. When the 5 frame was filled we would do something fun. We did The Chicken Dance, Hokey Pokey, Bear Hunt, This Old Man, and many other things. I was running out of ideas and the kids were getting bored with the usuals, and then I found this! This and the Hot Potato game helped me make it to the end of the year with this bunch. My students loved this game! It is nice that it is quick and easy, it also encourages following directions/listening. After the initial purchase there is no cost excluding batteries. It got me through the year and I haven't had to replace the batteries yet. So, much better than dolling out stickers or other rewards that have to be continually replenished.

Fun

Great little toy for travel. Yes it usually catches frustration easily but I think it is a great tool to teach kids patience and how to deal with frustration too. Bop it was a hit when I was young and I love having my kids show in an interest in it all over again.

It isn't too small or too large for an adult or child I use it with my 6 year old regularly and we can easily do all the actions. I love that you can pass it and include siblings and friends.

great, fun, and compact
by Buyer (5 out of 5 stars)
June 10, 2018

Really fun and great compact size. 100 is the max points and probably a good length of play time though it would be cool if it could go even higher. I'm a drummer and appreciate how I can play with my timing and rhythm within the increasing tempo(game speed.) You don't actually need to be steady and in time to play this, it just sounds and feels better when you are. It reminds me of the theatre game Zip, Zap, Zup which is super fun, too. Great for a wide age range. I like that you can adjust the volume and the game tells you when it's about to shut off which is after a short while, conserving batteries.

ROAD TRIPPPP
by Dan+Em (5 out of 5 stars)
July 9, 2019

In this "micro" size (about the size an adult hand), this is perfect for our next family road trip. We have two adults, five kids, and lots of hours of time to kill.

My kids had never played this game, and upon unboxing, I did wax poetic with my fond memories of playing the larger version of this in my youth ;) They figured it out quickly, though, and lots of giggles ensued (and magically, sibling squabbles ceased. For the time being.)

Fun while Learning
by Sarah (5 out of 5 stars)
December 28, 2015

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my neices who are 5 years old and 4. They love it! My kids had one when they were younger, but theirs was larger. This one is about the size of an adult palm, although its a perfect fit for kids hands. This toy teaches focus, hand/eye coordination, patience and consistency. Be careful though, parents can become addictive as well.

Beats talking about impulse control and kids are usually pretty motivated to work with it

Expensive but durable. Use this in therapy with some of my ADHD kids. Beats talking about impulse control and kids are usually pretty motivated to work with it.
