slim, sleek, light, compact, a perfect solution for my Merckx!by Evgeny (5 out of 5 stars)

A little bummed I was not offered this product "free for my honest opinion" since I am a loyal Bike2Power patron :), but not bummed at all I decided to get this case anyway, especially after doing some comparative research.
First of all, this product is QUALITY like all their iBikeConsole products. Second, it is VERY reasonably priced. Just look at the competing offers by various other brands in the same product class and at the same level of quality and service. Some don't even offer water/dust protection, some are double the price, and some even make you buy a separate mount in addition to the case! Third, I found this was a perfect solution for my Eddie Merckx' drop bars. It is compact and perfect for stem mounting. The bracket is centered on the back of the holder, so I used it both in portrait and landscape positions.
Like another reviewer said, it's easy on, easy off. Just like they say, with a twist and push of your hand. What I liked the most about mounting it was the safety lock. Just push it down and there is NO WAY the holder is coming off your bike. Believe me - I've tried to pull it off just to make sure before my first ride with the mount. On my mount, these buttons are red, by the way, not black like on these photos here, so the release buttons and the lock button are easy to tell.
The last, but not least, is that it's super lightweight. It feels like it basically weighs nothing. I took it out for 30+ mi from Ventura up Topanga to the PCH and back, and it did not feel like I was carrying any extra weight at all. The mounting bracket is also small and unobtrusive.
Anyway, I found two perfect solution for my bikes, the original BikeConsole for my mountain bike, and this Lite version for my road bike.
VERY solid bike case

I had to wait a while until this was available for my iPhone 6 Plus, but it was worth it. Unfortunately, the new mounting system is not backward compatible with the iPhone 5 version of this case, so I had to remove the very sturdy iPhone 5 mount from handlebars first, then install this new mount. It seems a bit of a waste to abandon the solid mounting system from the previous version, but I am guessing the new mounting system is what allows the entire case to be so much slimmer for the iPhone 6 Plus, which is a good thing.
The new case locks very securely to the new mounting bracket. On a recent 30 mile road ride, I tested that mount severely. I hit a few tree root bumps in the shady road (so I couldn't see them) that almost sent me flying into the bushes I hit them so hard (at 20mph), but the phone didn't even budge. I also road across a long wooden bridge that was so uneven it was extremely jarring to my arms and legs, but the phone didn't budge. I also ended up riding off a curb (not a clever idea on a road bike with 1" rims and a 230lb rider) but the phone didn't budge. Short of actually crashing the bike, I don't know what else I could do to try to dislodge the phone.
I do not like to ride in the rain, mostly for safety reasons, so I don't think I'll be using the provided rain cover. Without the rain cover in place, the face of the phone is directly accessible just like it would be in your hand, so it is quite easy to interact with the phone by voice commands or, best done stopped, with finger swipes, etc.
One concern: - with the rain cover in place, I could not operate the phone. The rain cover was very stiff and did not pass my finger strokes to the screen. Admittedly, I didn't spend a lot of time trying to get it work. I just slipped off the rain cover and tossed into my car trunk. If I ever need it, I guess I am going to have to set and forget the phone during the ride because the rain cover is not something that can be installed and removed with one hand easily while riding.
Not bad, not really waterproof. Nasty package.

First of all it is NOT really waterproof. The case itself is made of quite soft rubber which sits on the phone body just ok, not tight. I think something like TPU would probably work better. I.e. sometime when I pull the phone out of my pocket, the case can come off by accident. But being mounted on my motorcycle it holds up just ok. If it will be raining you will have to put the included cover on - it is made of similar soft material and is NOT transparent enough which makes the whole setup nearly USELESS IN THE RAIN. But my moto has a windshield, so when I'm in motion during the rain, the water doesn't get in the dashboard area anyways. If you're on a bicycle - forget about it, you will have to put the cover on or unmount the phone and hide it into your pocket.
The attachment is good. It is easy to attach the phone and it locks, so I think it won't come of by accident.
The whole stuff is beautyfuly packaged in two acrylic glass boxes which is ... a double disadvantage:
- first of all those boxes are to trow away which increase amount of nasty plastic trash - NOT an environment friendly approach. I absolutely don't get, why coudn't they pack it into a paper box?
- It was nighmare to open those boxes. They are attached to eash other, so I've spend maybe 3 or more minutes to unpack the case and the mount.
SUMMARY: the idea itself is not bad and it works, not a really waterproof though. Nasty plastic package which is also hard to open - is a bad solution. I give three stars only. $25 would be a fair price for this MountCase.
I love the mechanism and the way it locks into place

I've yet to actually stress test this since it's still quite cold here but I'm ready to go with Pokemon GO! The case seems to be durable and fits well, there's a "rain shield" cover case that comes with it that seems largely pointless. I suppose other phones this would be important but since it's a water resistant Galaxy S7 all it would do would cloud the screen and make it harder to use. I love the mechanism and the way it locks into place, I'm very confident this is a great way to go if you want to use your phone while biking.
Great cycling accessory for my iPhone 6+

Great product, easy to use and a good buy for the price! Installation was straightforward and fuss-free, and it took me about 5 minutes to do so. The phone locks into the cradle pretty well and I've not had many concerns with it on my rides so far.
The only annoyance I have with this is that it requires the phone to be installed on their case (which is a standard approach for such cradles since the locking "gear" is on the case itself). This means that if you have a pre-existing case (like I do), you'll need to remove your case and attach their case each time you want to go for a ride. This isn't too difficult but bear in mind that if their case goes missing, there's nothing much you can do, i.e. you can't fit your case onto the cradle. Assuming we're all fine with this, perhaps the developers can manufacture better looking cases for their cradles in the future - wouldn't it be great if we could combine their technology with the good looks and performance of case makers like Spigen? :)
The caveat: I've only been riding on smooth roads with minimal bumps. I'm not suggesting that it would be any less reliable if the roads were tougher or I was riding a trail but only that I've not tested it that way.
Good Case!

I got the case for my roadbike since I got my iPhone 6+, and it didn't fit into my previous bike phone holder dimensions.
Good things first:
- Quality of the product is good, all sturdy and mounts well and safe.
- The phone really holds well in the casing (will give you some trouble getting it out, even)
- Sizing and accessibility of all slots and buttons is good, no questions there.
And now the bad part of it, which shows that the manufacturers probably don't do a lot of cycling themselves.
- The phone touchscreen is not usable when the upper cover is on...like, seriously? :)
I understand that maybe the cover was meant to be used ONLY during precipitation, but in any case it's a big fat minus.
The whole point in having a bike mount is to be able to push the right buttons on the case without having to stop and still having the phone protected at all times in case of accidents. Otherwise it is not much better than riding with a phone in a pocket or a jacket if you can't really use it.
Now the alternatives are either to ride without cover (and without any other phone casing, i.e. with the naked phone on your handlebar), or to stop, remove cover, remove headphones, and THEN push the button, and then put everything back every single time you need to do something to your phone.
So overall - good quality product, but FOR ME - not really usable.
The product description should CLEARLY be saying that the touchscreen is not usable when covered by outer casing.
*UPDATE:
After the review, I was contacted by the company and offered a free weatherproof cover that according to the design, be working with the touchscreen too.
While I was waiting for the delivery, I actually found out the reason for my issue - the glass screen protector that was applied to my phone.
As soon as I removed it - the touchscreen was working perfectly fine.
This is still something for the manufacturers to consider, however definitely not a negative review anymore because of good customer service and good product!
Solid case but hard to use phone through it

This works really well but I have not crashed hard or been riding in the rain. This was the least expensive one I could find with the rugged and water resistant cover. I actually bought a second when my first was lost. I used to strap this to my handle bars on my dirt bike when I raced MX so I can use the Strava app. Now I have a watch that connects to Strava so I don't have to have my phone on me anymore. The front side cover is very thick and the phone has a hard time reading your fingers touch through it. But if your using this you should be peddling not playing on your phone. ;)

This is an excellent product!
I've used a few different tpye of mounting systems for my bike and this one is by far the best one I've use.
There is no shacking or worry about my phone falling off my bike at all. It was easy to install as well.
I haven't use the waterproof casing yet, so I don't know how well it works.
My one and only issues is that the standard case makes it REALLY hard to push the buttons on the side of the phone. I think after over a months use the plastic is finally starting to wear in. But sometimes it really takes effort to adjust the volume...
Even the product packaging is of high quality.

The product arrived on time as promised, before Christmas. I was impressed with the mount, but my first impression was the durable and high quality product packaging. The product is packaged in a durable plastic box that is irregular in shape. Everything was included in the package and upon opening the product and closely examining the mount, I was even more impressed.
The mount is a high quality mount that was purchased to replace my iPhone 5 mount. This mount attached to the bike in a straightforward manner and it seems very secure. We live in Ohio, and do all of our outdoor riding in Spring - Fall, so we haven't had it on the road yet, which will be the true test. I can tell you from having it on our bikes in the garage, that product is very complete. The mount to the bike is very secure and the ability to attach the phone to the bike is very secure.
The all-weather portion, or rain guard aspect does not get in the way of being able to view the screen. My iPhone 5 version (not from Bike Console), distorted the image of the screen and this one from Bike Console doesn't. I purchased one of these for my wife as well, so we're looking forward to the snow leaving, the weather warming, and getting out on the road with our new mounts. I would strongly recommend this product.
I have wireless headphones that work via Bluetooth and love it. The MountCase is ideal for my needs

Simple to install.
I'm a semi gadget freak who loves technology for exercise. With my IPhone 6 Plus I can track my ride, listen to music, make phone calls and gather health data. All this while cycling. I have wireless headphones that work via Bluetooth and love it.
The MountCase is ideal for my needs. I leave the cover off in good weather and slip it on when it gets wet.
One minor issue. The cover doesn't go on as easily as I would hope. It's probably an issue of being new and should get better with repeated use.
