Brown/Tan Paper Backing

I bought this lamp as an extra gift but opened it first for inspection. Well, it needs 3 AA batteries, which are not included. I have no idea what batteries the product description is referring to that are included. I have seen other reviews and questions about a paper backing which is not pictured or mentioned in the description. Other customers have stated that they can't take it off. Well I used my fingernail to breach one of the edges enough to grip it, AND IT PEELED RIGHT OFF. The function button is tricky (the obviously and poorly translated directions don't help much) but after a little monkeying around with the power button and the base I finally got it to stay lit and alternate colors, and it looks pretty cool.

NOTE: Upon further review, I changed my rating from a 3 star to a 4 star rating. I used the plug from my phone charger cord to plug the lamp into a wall socket and it worked beautifully!

Kids love it. People the brown paper peels off. It doesn't need a controller. The light turns off if you hold the button for 4 seconds on any solid color. Anyone who thought they were getting a hologram device for 10 or 20 dollars should go back to the future. If you get to one of the pink colors it will slowly progress thru all the colors and keep transitioning colors slowly. If you click the button again from the slow transitioning sequence it will go into a fast color transition sequence. Hit the button again to get out of the fast paced series to solid color and hold button again for 4 seconds and it turns off. Cmon people how do you learn something if u wont push all the buttons and dont give poor reviews if u cant figure out something that has 1 button. If you gave less than 4 stars for this you should be ashamed of yourselves.

The product received is nothing like what is advertised or pictured. There is no remote, and it is not clear. There is some type of tan coating on the back that looks horrible. I am very disappointed.

This thing is awesome! It's a lighted plate and goes well on a night stand. The color change is amazing! Could be bigger for the price though.

Not much to dislike about this. The lights are really nice looking and the variety of colors with the intermittent option makes this truly awesome. Makes a cool night light......for the kids....yeah for the kids.

I like the product but it didn't come with the remote ...

I like the product but it didn't come with the remote and you can't do some of the options without the remote and you also can't turn it off without the remote, you have to take the batteries out. I'm not sending it back because it took forever to get it.

Pretty chintzy. I got this for my sons birthday, granted he's a boy and a little rough but it broke within a week. He was pretty sad because he really liked the way it looked, which is why it's two stars instead of one.
