I got married recently and bought these to throw in as gifts for my groomsmen and ushers. All the guys loved them. I've seen websites where you can even get them with a stainless finish and custom engraved.

Update:

I got one for myself about a year or so later because my other bottle opener broke. I have to say, this is nice and convenient but for some reason I have to press down once, do a 1/4 turn, and press down again. One press doesn't seem to get the cap off for me most of the time. This really isn't a problem because honestly it's still a really convenient bottle opener. I still really like it, but I'd just be a little more impressed if one press did the trick. Maybe mine is defective?

Also... before I bought the Corkcicle Decapitator I ordered a cheaper off-brand version that I saw on Amazon. Don't bother! My cheaper one was so cheaply made that it couldn't even survive shipping. It was a little smaller than the Decapitator and made of brittle plastic. A total waste of money. Just go with the Decapitator.

I first found one of these on a trip in a knife specialty store. Since I have problems with the twist-off caps on my (infrequent) beers, I bought one for me and one as a gift for a favorite Brother-in-Law. I found that the secret to getting the cap off the first time is to be sure and push down firmly on the Decapitator then pull up. If you only half-heartedly push down, the cap will not be removed. It's not difficult, and I appreciate not hurting my hands on the ridges of the twist off caps. I also have a touch of carpel tunnel, and this is much easier to use than trying to grip the twist off lids. I like it so much I bought another from Amazon at Christmas for my sister. One caveat, this will NOT work on the aluminum bottle cans.

I bought this for my husband as a gift, and it was a huge hit! He loves decapitating his beers with it. It's sturdy and has held up well (had it about 6 months so far). It was such a huge gift with him that I've also since gifted the Decapitator to other family members.

It works great. Solid construction (not plastic crap like the waste of money knockoffs). Very happy with the performance. The bottle caps pops off easily with no denting/bending of the cap. I am certain I can rely on this product for a long time..

$20 bucks for some device to open a bottle of beer? Who cares? If it wasn't for the fact that I'd open more beers than I can drink in a night, I'd just open all of the beers in my refrigerator! This is just fun to use. I bought one for my one-year-old nephew and told him his parents could use it until he grew up. The Decapitator (I just love the name) is a kick.

Great product. I saw it at a friends and my wife got it for father's day. It works really well, although occasionally I have to push it down twice to get the cap off . Nice product and I like the push down and pull off the cap better than a bottle opener....works great for me. I've been telling all my friends that they have to get one.

Just an fyi. If you like the product because of the name on it, that the picture shows, it does not say decapitator on it. I know not a huge deal, but I did like how it is labeled. The product is great though. Works fine, just don't like that it came different than shown. Just a little more boring than wanted
