The missing frequencies are missing no longer!

Several years ago I discovered I had a major hearing loss. I was no longer hearing the higher frequencies. A pair of very expensive hearing aids restored this loss, and I was delighted to hear the sounds that I was missing. My aids were tunable so I brought my bluetooth speaker to her to enable her to fine tune them to the higher frequencies in classical music. After much frustration she told me what I had hoped to hear was not being put out by the speaker.

When I read the reviews about the BenQ, I became hopeful. I listen mostly to classical music and do not care about the booming bass.

Last week the speaker arrived and after charging the battery began testing it with my favorite classical music. At first I was disappointed. I think I was hopeful that the crisp clear sound would just blow me away. It didn't. I kept listening and the longer I listened, the better the sound quality. It was just the opposite so many things which seem so great the moment you get them and disappoint later.

The more I use the BenQ the better I like it. The high notes are there, in the proportion they should be. I am very pleased with this purchase.

If you want booming bass and blasting sound look elsewhere. If you like sound with all frequencies in proper balance I highly recommend the BenQ.

Meh. I bought this because I've always loved electrostatic speakers and the reviews were good. The bass response is non existent unfortunately and the mods are clear but underpowered. I have the Marshall stanmore speaker and the Woburn speaker and these benQ speakers can't keep up or outperform either. Not that the BenQ is bad. It's just not better and I'm spoiled for choice. If you're considering this at this price, get the Woburn and you'll never regret it.

Awesome Sound - Good Price

This speaker is even better than I expected it to be. I have long been a fan of electrostatic speakers, and despite its small size, this speaker delivers the same sense of presence, and the amazing high range and crisp sound I expect from ES technology.

It is small and doesn't get loud enough or have enough bass to do justice to good rock and roll, but in a more intimate setting, and playing music such as jazz, classical, new age, etc., this is the best Bluetooth speaker I've heard. Believe me, it sounds like a much larger speaker.

If you are like me, a real stickler for clear, clean, undistorted sound this is your speaker.

My treVolo is small enough to fit on a shelf or desk top, but has a big enough sound to reproduce my music with all the tone and clarity that a much larger speaker would produce. The bass response is great, and the high end is particularly smooth, with none of the harshness smaller drivers often have at higher volumes. All in all, I highly recommend the treVolo.

Sometimes Good for the Price

Mix of quite good and not so much. Out of the box they sound very dead for the first fifteen minutes. Break-in? Start to sound pretty good after that but in limited ways. The highs are crisp and cymbals and some voices sound reasonably accurate... if listened to straight on. Rotate the speaker a little and you lose most the highs. There's no lower bass at all (small speaker) but upper bass and lower treble sound balanced, but only with some equalization. Not much dynamic range of volume though, even compared to other higher end bluetooth speakers. But small enough, loud enough, and long enough battery life to make it worth it if most your music fits what this speaker's good at.

It's a nice looking product, and the sound is amazing but the volume is really poor. I feel it's not worth the price that I paid for it. But is a very fine peace, I love it!!!
