Ok product with a few problems
by Christie Kelley (3 out of 5 stars)

People should not write reviews on product they haven't used. Very annoying. Bought this product based on positive to negative review ratio and wanted a power bank with solar charger. Figured 15% probability of error in reviews or product defects to be expected. Very nice product. About the same size (LxWxH) of my Samsung Note 4 phone. 4 charge indicators-25% per LED (Not accurate). One charging LED. A power on LED. After fully charged- after the first charge of my Note 4, 3 LED remained lit. Second charge of my Note 4, LED flashes ( short or below powerbank limit). Takes about 1.5-2hrs to charge phone from 30% to 100%. The 2A port overheat on the second charge and drain the battery. Will not charge phone once overheated. Get 2 charge using the 1A port. Solar panel is descent and will charge the battery (2-3 days in light source to get to 50%). Takes about 8-11hrs to fully charge from an outlet.

Return this product. Just realized how dumb it is to leave a battery in the hot sun. Battery does not hold charge well when hot.

Works Wonderfully
by Bob Smith (5 out of 5 stars)

I had a really old battery pack from years ago and it just recently died on me. I decided to purchase this one as a replacement and it preforms way beyond my expectation! My old battery pack could charge up my iPhone 5 fully once before needing to recharge while this one charged my iPhone about 3 times fully and an iPad mini once before needing to recharge. I haven't done any specific measurements, but I would estimate the capacity to be near or at the claim of 10,000MAh.

Charging the Zebora fully from 0% took almost 12 hours when plugged into a USB wall adapter. I would assume this would be due to it's large capacity, but my USB wall adapter is only capable of outputting 1amp while the picture claims it can take in 1.5amps, so it isn't a big deal for me.

I haven't extensively tested the solar charging capabilities, but I did leave it under a lamp and in the sun near the window sill and it seems to charge with both. I wouldn't rely solely on the solar panels to charge this thing, but it seems to charge a whole lot faster than my Icetech, which is a plus. I did notice that you can charge the Zebora with the solar panels while charging a device, but you can't seem to do so when the Zebora is plugged into the mains. Again, not an issue for me as it's capacity is so large, but it's something to be aware of.

I have thoroughly tested the Zebora's USB output compatibility with several devices and pretty much every USB device I got my hands on works with this thing. I've tested an iPhone, iPad, 3DS, a Nexus tablet, Sony camera, and even a USB powered fridge. The fridge is especially picky and my old battery pack and several USB wall adapters don't work with it. The Zebora is one of the only few that work with it so it definitely excels in device compatibility.

One of the reasons why I purchased this particular battery pack over any of the others was due to it's unique design and how the design was used to further enhance the performance of the device. The ability to fold it closed to keep a sleek form factor and to open it back up to have double the output over just one solar panel was unique to this product and I haven't found it anywhere else. The product in general looks very nice, but it's definitely not rugged. If you just take this around on trips (like me) it shouldn't be an issue at all. Just like a phone, keep it away from water and don't throw it around and it should be fine. Overall, it's one amazing device.

seems to be a great solar panel and power bank combo
by Hayduke (5 out of 5 stars)

Unlike many of the reviewers of this product, I bought this thing blindly and without a discount. So far, seems to be a great solar panel and power bank combo. My primary purpose for purchasing this is to be my main power source for many multi-week backpacking and outdoors trips I do. USB power sources are becoming increasingly common and with this device I can now power and recharge just about every piece of equipment I have. The input voltage and amperage would technically put this at the equivalent of a 6 Watt solar panel. Which isn't huge, but enough to be actually be able to get the 10000mah powerbank charged from 0 to 100% in a few days of decent sun. For my use this is more than adequate.

The theory is that now I can charge my Canon 6D battety, remote flash triggers, flashes, aa and aaa nimh batteries, ipod, gps all from this power bank for an indefinite period of time. One of the biggest problems I have run into on extended wilderness trips thus far is now solved.

Pretty well built too. Found a little soft case for it and it packs nicely and is quite small considering its both a 6 Watt solar panel and a 10,000mah power bank. Like many other reviews i noticed that once or twice it has randomly stopped charging, but easy to fix by unplugging and re plugging. So far a great tool to have.

Only 30%-50% of claimed capacity
by Amazon User (2 out of 5 stars)

I received the first device right before my first one-night camping trip. I followed the instruction to fully charge the battery through AC. While I was at the camp, I left the solar charger on the tent's window (between the bug screen and the window) all the time and was able to fully recharge my LG G3 which has a 3000 mAH battery. I thought it worked quite well, until...

I went home and started testing the charger with my Nexus 10, which has a 9000 mAH battery. After a few rounds of draining and re-charging (by AC, not solar panel), I found that it was only able to increase the Nexus' battery by about 35%. I also noticed the charger which has 4 blue LEDs indicating battery level, takes less than an hour to go from 1 light to 3 lights, and about 2.5 hours to "fully charged", which is unusually fast for a 10000 mAH battery pack, as my LG G3 would take 2 hours to fully charge, while the Nexus 10 could take 5+ hours. So I reached out to the seller about my tests and observation, and the seller sent me a second charger. I then repeated the same tests on the second one, but this one would only be able to increase my Nexus 10's battery level by at most 50%. What's more, I took both batteries to my 3-day camping trip one month after my first camping trip, and observed bubbling on the solar panels. So while I was able to keep my LG G3 charged in most of the time (not necessarily fully charged even though the battery pack were exposed to the sun as much as possible, and a half of the time were cloudy), I simply found the solar charger failed to deliver the advertised capacity, hence I returned both chargers to the seller.

On the other hand, the seller was willing to work with me throughout the process and sent out the second charger quickly. The seller also provided instruction on the return and I got refunded in full. This charger could be a good one given the dual panels and, if it truly had 10000mAH capacity. However I cannot recommend buying it based on my experience.

Terrible product
by William (1 out of 5 stars)

Absolutely terrible junk. I ordered this item a few months ago. I charged it the 3 times to activate it and it worked great for 2 charges. While in NYC over Christmas I tried using it and plugged in my iPhone to it and boom nothing. The light comes on and stays red. I am not sure what that means since the instructions are so poorly written.

I thought it just needed to be activated again. However when I plug it in now, nothing happens. The lights do not come on and it still does not provide a charge. Unfortunately I am past the 30 day limit to return it and when I emailed the customer service, they notified me to email Amazon. Terrible customer service!

DO NOT BUY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!!!

Zebora 2 pannel single fold out 10k model.

It is fine, I have not torn it open yet to see the internals, but testing shows that the battery ammount listed is probably realistic to within resonable expectations. It is a good design, and a nice balance of having enough solar to charge it back up in a couple of days.

The output ports do not reach the full 1.5A and 2.0A output levels , but it is close enough, so it does not charge the same as my real 2A car charger, or wall charger using the exact same wire. The wire supplied could use a bit more copper (ya know like copper power wires, like they used to make) it would be better if they supplied a better wire with the unit.

So it does not get all 5 stars, because the output is not as capable as it could be, but it gets all 4 stars because it is useful, and does "fast charge" not just limp along like some others. The price was ok and shipping was timely.

Other stuff, the lights are cute, and tell you Every possible thing you could want to know about the state of it and the charge, and the discharge and the solar.

Nice fit and finish, but mine had a bad battery.
by LuckyDirt (3 out of 5 stars)
January 12, 2016

It looks nice, is compact, and seems well made, but the battery was either defective or not accurately rated. I charged it fully out of the box as per the instructions. I received one full charge on my Sony Z1s (3000mah battery) before the unit was dead. I was disappointed, but the instructions said to charge the unit (and fully discharge it) three times right away. So, I charged and discharged it fully three more times, and received the same one full charge on my Sony each time. A 10,000mah battery should give me at least two charges on a 3000mah battery. This is a let down. I really like everything else about the unit, but that doesn't matter if it can't serve it's primary purpose. Because of all the choices on Amazon, if something doesn't work the first time, I usually don't reorder the same product. I requested a refund and was reimbursed promptly.

Fantastic value solar charging pack
by Joe (5 out of 5 stars)
April 8, 2018

Fantastic value solar charging pack. I've recently come back from the Everest base camp trail where getting access to electricity was rather tricky and where it was sold, it was also generated with solar panels. This would've been ideal to have with me at the time, however I've bought one now to have for my next adventure! So far it's been very effective, charging my iPhone up quite quickly without too much trouble or blinding sunlight. The built in zebora solar charger is really useful in making sure you've got maximum energy. Far cheaper than the packs i've seen in shops, good quality and high effeciency in charging!

awesome battery bank.

May 23, 2016

I just recieved my product, and right from the get go i was fairly impressed. The packaging looked really nice, and once opened i was very impressed with the craftsmanship of this battery bank. Almost as soon as i unfolded the solar panel, it immediately began charging even from the artificial light. It feela good in my hand, feels solid, and it just really feels well built. I look forward to using this outdoors. It looks as if it will live up to what i plan to use it for.

The pricing is great. I feel like i got a great deal on this product. I would recommend this product.

NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY!!!
by Abdul (1 out of 5 stars)
October 8, 2016

The solar plate did not work and now the whole thing isn't charging at all. if I try to charge my phone or iPad, the left blue light starts blinking to show that the charge is low. I plug in the charger and it keeps blinking after even a few hours and that show that this powerbank isn't working...NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY. I emailed the seller back in July and its October now and still waiting for a reply to this day!
