It is made of high quality life-ready materials, and sports a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, a built-in LED flash, stereo speakers, a microphone, the latest in ARM processors, a 4.5"" full color touchscreen, 4GB of internal storage that's expandable to 32GB, and onboard photo editing powers. And with ZINK Zero Ink printing technology, no computer connections. Press a button, and it spits out vibrant, smudge-proof, and water-resistant prints measuring 2"x3". Prints feature a sticky back for extra fun and easy posting.

This item DOES NOT WORK. And DBROTH customer service is disgusting. This camera worked the first time I used it, and then would not work unless connected to a charger. I exchanged it for another one, and the SAME THING happened (except this time it doesn't even work while plugged in). When I reached out to DBROTH with my concerns, I got very rude and abrupt replies (just asked if there were any other options, as I understood that I could not return the item for a refund any longer). DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS CAMERA OR ANYTHING DBROTH SELLS I'm now out $300 with a useless piece of plastic.

Defective Camera - do not buy. Charging system will fail and Polaroid/CAMarketing/DBRoth will not st

This is a zero star product that has a major design defect and should not be sold. I have had three of them and all failed in the same way - they suddenly stopped charging. This camera is manufactured by CA Marketing ad was sold through CA's retail arm, DBRoth. They have stopped replacing defective cameras (which in my experience are all of them). Stay away from this camera and the people who manufactured it, marketed it and sold it. Take a look at the apology for this product on Socialmatic's Facebook page and you will get the idea how bad this product is.

I wanted this thing so bad and I finally got it

This review is WAY over due. I wanted this thing so bad and I finally got it, to be honest save your money. It's not that great. It's like one of those cheat androids that just so happen to have a printer for pictures. The pictures come out super dark, I have to constantly edit photos. 3 stars because 1. The film is a sticker 2. It was a good idea and 3. You can email yourself pictures, save them and print them. BUT it's not worth having to edit photos and reprint them cause they are dark. To be honest get the FUJI FILM INSTAX printer and print straight from you iPhone or android! Pictures come out way better

Avoid this item

This product was the biggest mail order error I recall making. The product is nothing more than a basic android with photo feature, with no enhancements (and we're talking about 2013 or so). In other words, the photo quality will be no better in this device than in your cheapest phone android phone, and this device is much more costly. As if this were not bad enough, the device would not hold a charge after setup, so it could not be used unplugged. Not bad enough? Then there's this: The seller was good enough to exchange the item twice, and the problem was the same.

I suggest you avoid this item.

Polaroid Is A Blantant Fraud Selling Faulty Products.
by Paul Alexander (1 out of 5 stars)
October 15, 2016

What a complete waste of time and money. This is actually a fraudulent product that simply doesn't work.

The battery can not charge at all. The camera will not turn on unless connected to a power source and the interface is crap.

As soon as you disconnect the power-source it instantly turn off. Perhaps that's the instant part of the cameras name, Polaroid Instant Power-off camera.

What a total and blatant rip off for $650.

Never again should anyone give Polaroid despite their heritage and new retro stylings another dollar.

It would have been very obvious to the company that this camera was faulty but they obviously released it with lots of hype and just sold it anyway.

Don't. Buy Polaroid Socialmatic!
by Swanone (1 out of 5 stars)

Not even close to what I expected! The pictures are too small; I like the size of the original camera that were square as opposed to the rectangle shape. Last year I bought a similar camera and also didn't like the size either. Phone cameras provide more detail of pictures. I like the feature of providing negatives but it is at the sacrifice of other features. Plus, picture development is very slow that made it difficult to capture more frequent moments. I bought this because a similar product made by Kodak, easy share model went out of production a couple years ago. I looked for used ones, no luck, so bought the Polaroid based on history of the brand. No. I would recommend against buying one.

I really liked this camera

I really liked this camera, but sometimes the screen gets stuck. I also have to charge it a lot. It just doesn't have a long battery life, other than that it's a cool little camera.
