The sound effects alone make this gorgeous prop replica worth owning if you are an old fashioned Star Trek dweeb like me. Very accurate replica of a TOS used prop. I couldn't live without at least one of these. A joy to stare at and play with. Remote control features? Haven't bothered with that capability yet.

Great for Cosplay. Has a good weight, and great sounds, special effects, etc. Type 1 phaser is detachable just like the "real" ones. The TV remote control functions are not worth the effort to program or use.

If you love Star Trek TOS, then you will want this exacting prop replica. Apparently taken from molds from the last surviving actual Phaser prop. Comes with a great high-quality durable plastic storage case with NCC1701 markings.

Great Phaser for the guy who grew up watching the original series on TV in the 70's. I was looking at the Master Replica phasers on EBay and couldn't justifie the huge price they get for them now. I think this one is just as good, for a bargain price. I just bought a couple more for Christmas presents for my kids. The remote control part is a little gimmicky for me. I just wanted a cool Phaser, and now I have one.

I have been a trekkie for as long as I can remember and owned many versions of the TOS Phaser and this is the best by far! Although, it's pretty worthless as a remote. But still super cool! It has the weight and feel of a real weapon. There are my settings and the lights are dazzling. The look and feel of this replica are amazing. True artistry.

I have had so much fun with this item. The sound effects are great and it is the answer to a childhood dream. Ever since I was old enough to flip the TV on and see Star Trek for the first time I wanted a phaser and communicator now I not only have one I have a great quality one that works. It's not the best remote in the world and that is why I only give it four stars instead of five. but I would not let that stop me from buying yet another one.

Top notch replica. Like you would imagine the real thing would be. Authentic sounds. Many different phaser sounds including one on overload. Separates into a hand phaser. The little window pops up. Worth the money over the cheap lightweight plastic one I paid 60 or so for. It feels like toy. This does not.

This is an amazing collectible. There are lots of features to love and play around with. The actual TV remote mode is fiddly at best, though, so don't think of it as a replacement for a remote, but programming a few major commands like power and channel up/down is fun and works fine. The sounds are all amazing, the separate Phaser I and II are really cool, and the best thing about it is the plastic case with the foam/rubber storage areas for all the parts. That in itself makes it worth the price. Also, the instruction manual has an absolutely beautiful rendering of a phaser on an alien planet covering one whole side of the accordion-style booklet.

Super Nice Collectible

This thing rocks. It is the perfect gift for a 50 year old fat guy who still loves all things Trek. The sounds are fairly loud and very clear. It is solidly built. The emitter tip can break and cease to retract/extend, but mine has not yet done this. The Wand has gotten the details down pat and made a really fun thing to own. It is costly, but worth it if you are into this sort of thing. I have not even bothered trying to set up the remote functions. I did not want it for that. WARNING: This looks real enough that if you whip it out on some people they might freak out before our current technological reality takes hold of their brain. Seriously, this one coworker hollered and dropped to her knees. I am not kidding... ;-) I love this thing. It was the greatest POINTLESS birthday gift I have ever received since I became an adult. All my other *great* purchases have had some sort of need attached to them, or at least a purpose. I got this solely because I wanted it. And I am greatly pleased. One note, however - it is the dark gray/black one and not the dark blue/bronze one that I ordered. I like is so much that I will not be complaining about that. Also, the metal grid on the Phaser I is cut crooked at the bottom edge where the sight raises it up. I will file it down. Everything else works as advertised.

I bought the communicator first and I can call any body I want this phaser is out standing with cool star trek sounds and a cool remote control for your electronic devices it's out standing I was sceptical but it's awesome thanks wand company and to that carries it you will not be disappointed it's not a toy it's cool for adults that love star trek you believe how real it feels and easy to program for your electronic devices so cool I can't wait to get a tricordor I don't no if they have developed it yet but I was thinking GPS or star mapping and go pro thanks again fast shipping will not be disappointed it's out standing

Best Star Trek TOS Phaser replica ever!

As a prop with sound effects, there is no rival. This P1/P2 set is better than the Master Replica's set (my opinion) that costs $2,000.00 ! The P1 is, again in my opinion, better than a $1,200.00 John Long!

The case is unrivaled too! the LiOn recharge system is the best. The display stand is too light for the strength of the magnet so it must be held down depending on how you pull the Phaser off.

The handle was a little thin but I contacted "sd-studios" on Ebay and purchased the fatter handle and it fits perfect. Meanwhile the stock handle can stay in the storage case averting all wear-and-tear.

I went to "beadaholic" on amazon and purchased a 4 x 4 x 3/4 steel bench block and am using that as a stand (felt stick feet added) with two Phasers on each block. Again, the stock stand went back into the case for zero wear and tear. These Wand Company Phasers are out-of-production now and I'm sure they will become valuable collector items because of the quality and function.

p.s. the remote works as described but is only effective when the P1 is removed from the P2 and, only at close range with a direct shot at the equipment. The remote functions get a solid B+. But honestly, who cares about the remote feature.....it's a Phaser for god sake.

You can't go wrong with this one! It is well worth the price, I myself have several high-end Phaser props and this is by far the best one! Do yourself a favor, if you are a Star Trek fan, or know one, it's the perfect gift. I'm a 50 year old kid according o my wife.

Got this as a Christmas present from the wife. She knows I'm a huge Star Trek fan but beyond that, this is an amazing remote. It's not cheaply made (metal and heavy duty plastic parts) and once you program it to you TV, cable box or receiver it's a lot of fun.
