Worth every penny!!

I previously owned a 40" Led Samsung from 2010 and have been wanting to upgrade for awhile now. So I ordered this tv on 1/5/16 and received yesterday. The two delivery guys were super helpful and helped set it up and connected the hdmi cables to my cable box, PS4 and PS3. The tv bezel color is not a true silver it's more of a dark grey/black/silver. Gunmetal perhaps..? I have included pictures to show.

It comes with the smart tv remote and one pair of 3D glasses. I took picture showing the accessories. I like a clean look to the tv and was able to use the Velcro stickies on the one connect box and stuck it on the back of the tv.

The picture quality is amazing. I recommend getting it professionally calibrated to show true quality. Getting the hang of this smart tv. It's awesome:-) I also got the curved soundbar to match (j7500 black). I'm super excited! Any questions I'll try my best to answer.

My Favorite TV ever!

This has to be the best TV I have ever owned in terms of picture quality. I have owned several Sony and Mitsubishi TV's over the years but this is my now 3rd Samsung and by far my favorite.

I use it primarily for a 4K PC monitor and BF4 and other High Resolution games never looked so good. No input lag and the screen looks amazing after a little tweaking of the colors etc. Make sure you have enough horse power if your going to use it for a monitor as I have GTX 980 SLI and games like Crysis 3 can max out the GPU's and VRAM but still very playable and smooth frames.

My son loves watching YouTube music videos that are only 1080 and even they look amazing. All apps I have tried are super fast and no lag, Netflix, HBOGO, Amazon and Hulu all work flawlessly.

Netflix has some nice 4K content to get a true ides of how nice the screen really is, but be sure you are sitting close of enough to the display or your eyes can't tell the difference.

I would recommend this TV to anyone in the market for a curved 4K smart TV, I don't believe any competitor out there has something this nice for the price.

I upgraded my triple monitor setup (1 x 24" and 2 x 23" LCDs) to this display. Fullscreen 4K PC gaming is amazing. The colors are amazingly vivid, the brightness is superb. This was also my first smart TV, and I'm sure those features are relatively standard, but I was still impressed by it. I used to run a projector for my computer gaming (~9.5' diagonal display) and thought that I was Futureman from that...but damn, this display knocks that out of the park.

One downside is that it appears that Samsung relegated the user interfacing drivers to the individual smart TV app makers. What I mean by this is that I could connect a USB keyboard to the breakout/source box (how have we lived so long with TVs without having these things as standard?! Truly revolutionary piece of port donglin') and the Netflix app picked it up right away. I can use the keyboard to get connected to my account, search for content, do whatever by typing into the keyboard like one would expect. But the Amazon Video app only sees the standard USB keyboard as a set of arrow keys and an enter button. It refuses to see the alphanumeric keys as what they are. Very frustrating to have such a different experience between apps when the hardware layer should be handled by the operating system itself. One could say that this isn't as much a slight against Samsung and more against the Amazon Video app team, but honestly, basic drivers like this should be uniform and the app makers should just have to hook into the API. Layers of abstraction people...basic concepts.

When I found out all the TV the manufactures had discontinued 3D for 2017 as a lover of 3D I felt the need to upgrade my current faithful Sony 900 series 65" smart 3D TV. OLED TVs were at the top of my list but the prices where very steep for a old retired guy so what to do? After due diligence and research I went with this incredible set and this seller. Never had experience with the AIT freight company before but they flat "delivered" on every level. Called before they delieved and brought the TV into my home and the driver could not have been more helpful and the TV arrived in flawless condition. The double boxing job done by the seller was incredible including stapling and taping the outer box together for extra durability. Well done!
Now to the TV. I realize it would finish second to OLED if you did a side by side comparison and you studied the picture but that's not they way I watch TVs and with that said this TV pretty much crushes my previous Sony which I thought was doing a good job. Extremely good black levels very clean whites and boy is this thing bright! I keep turning down the brightness level and still think they may need to be toned down a little more. Colors are vivid and set up was very fast and easy and the update download was fast like the quick connect box and it takes care of the hanging wire problems. Nice. Excellent build quality the stand is super sturdy,metal,stable and nice to look at to boot. The smart remote is a winner. The optical output puts out amazing surround sound vs the usual stereo or stereo multi channel which has been what I have experienced with my previous TVs. Sound quality from the TV speakers is surprisingly good best I can recall since the TVs got slimmer and the speakers started "down firing." Upscaling is superb certainty a match for my Sony which was outstanding and 4K looks as good as what I have seen at Bestbuy in other words stunning.
The only thing I am not as impressed with is the Internet operating system. Sonys system seemed better designed however it crashed all to often so we will see how this plays out down the road as I get used to this TVs system. 3D for the record works great with no noticeable cross talk and boy does it pop.brilliant colors and plenty of brightness. I still prefer the Sonys passive system over all but first impressions are the 3D effect is a little better with the Samsung. I bought a full featured remote for less than $10.00 with free shipping and suggest you do the same as it can be a little easier to operate for some functions.
That's about it for me when I factor in the price difference between a similar featured OLED unit with 3D it was not worth it for me as it would amount to well over a $1000.00 more at this time. They are nice but not that much nicer than this fine TV and under some conditions they are not as good. No regrets for me would buy this TV again in a heart beat. If you shop around a little you can buy Samsung 3D active glasses for less than $28.00 inc shipping for a pair. Not bad I paid close to $10.00 including taxes at Bestbuy for passive glasses for my Sony but you will have to buy batteries from time to time. Tip get the older style glasses (5100 series)that take the bigger cheaper 2025 batteries that last longer. If your on the fence about buying this TV go for it if your examples like mine you will be a happy camper just like I am. Continue to be very impressed with this TV. Using my previous experience with playing 4K DVDs using my Phillips DVD player I was not always impressed. With this TV 4K DVD play back is much more impressive looking just like what I saw at local electronics stores. The over all video performance is startling at times it is so powerful. If you visit video forums talking about this TV the version that is held in the highest regards is marked version "TS01" both on the box and TV bar code.The feeling is only these TVs have Samsung panels. These TVs have the TS01 panels which might explain the amazing video performance.

The Js9000 workhorse

The JS9000 is my work horse. I purchase this TV as a house warming present to myself.. I mean my family. It remains hung in my living because of the reliable nature of my previous Samsung (the 52LNA850) which is still kicking after almost 10years, And with that said it was easy to make a almost 4000 purchase. Mind you I'm a Samsung fanboy until I purchased my LG august of 2016.

The picture quality on the JS9000 is as advertised, and the colors get better everyday. I'm not sure if this is due to myself being used to the set but there are time when I'm watching regular broadcast cable and I'm amazed of the quality.

Paired with..

K8500 playing 4k disk like dead pool or batman v superman, this thing shines. The brights are bright the colors are vibrant the picture quality is amazing the black is almost there. it's like watching it in the movies, specially with the Yamaha 3050 as my receiver.

The bad..

While the connect box is an awesome idea, the thing I do not like about it is the length of the cable. It was not long enough to feed it behind the wall and up to my entertainment center. So ended up getting a hook rig to put it on the back of the tv on the wall.

Another bad...

I won't get into the sound, but at this price you should be able to buy your own sound system, or a sound bar to say the least.

Overall...

I give this a 4.5 stars.. if I had not experienced the LG Oled C6, which is in my theater. This would have been the best TV I have ever owned.. but overall great buy that comes with the reliability that Samsung have made famous

Just Buy it Already....

There is no such thing as the perfect television. I researched and viewed this set along with others for six months. I'm so glad I waited because it had a temporary price decrease on November 1st. The set is amazing and the picture is simply beautiful. I'm still fine tuning some of the settings until I'm completely satisfied with the picture. It's fun to play with the remote, once you learn how to operate it. It's incredibly fast and accurate. The sound is very good for a television, I still prefer my home theater system for movies and sports. There are so many features on this model that it will take a few more months to learn and enjoy all it has to offer. There are always going to be negative reviews and bad experiences with any electronic items on the market. I waited to review this item for just that reason. I can tell you just from my personal experience that it's the best electronic purchase I've ever made. I'm very picky and price conscience, so at $1,999.00 it was a great buy. I'm sure the price will drop again when the 2016 models come out. As for the Amazon delivery, I only had one man show up, very late in the day to bring it in by himself. I was not happy after waiting for 10 hours for him to show up. I give him 5 stars for his professional attitude and helping me put it on my Z-line tv stand, then hooking up the power and box to make sure it worked before he left. He cleaned up all the packing materials and left my living room free of any mess. Glad I purchased from Amazon instead of Best-Worst Buy. I couldn't get anyone to even help me there. Another reason I purchased from Amazon, great customer service. Thanks!

Excellent

I bought and had this delivered to my home in Texas, I packed it back up so I can make a move to Michigan. I did however play with it to look at the quality and watch a few channels.. I am more than happy with this TV.. it was delivered nicely and loaded in by two guys, they unpacked it, we inspected it for damage, plugged it in to check the screen and everything checked out... for those of you looking for a clean install... I knew the supplied cord was going to be a challenge as it is roughly a 6 foot cord..... so I also ordered the 10 foot cord and it works just as well and will work for my hidden install (house is being prewired now/new construction.. it also can be fished through the wall but be ready for the 1-1/4 connector.

Great screen to use as a computer monitor.

I use this TV as my main computer system monitor. It's roughly equivalent to running 4x 23.6" 1080p monitors in a grid, except without the bezels getting in the way. Standing arms length away from it (at my standing desk), it if field-of-view filling and quite impressive. I took off one star because of the constant nag messages I get at the top of the screen about firmware updates and Samsung service availability which always require me to dig up the remote and select an option to close the box. It is seriously EXTREMELY annoying for those to randomly pop up while I'm using it. My Samsung TV I use for watching TV does the same thing, and it is even more annoying in that case. For use as a computer monitor, I put the device in Game Mode, disabled all the image enhancement algorithms, and named the input PC. It's a set of not-very-well-known tricks to reduce image update latency and remove some of the software "enhancements" which are intended for TV use. 99% of the time, I use it for work, but in the few cases I have played a game on it, I have not had any issues with the refresh rate or screen tearing or anything. I have two main complaints with Windows 10 using this device though. The first is that Windows 10 doesn't support the 10-bit per pixel colors that the TV supports. The second is that Windows 10 has this annoying habit of moving around and re-sizing all my windows when I turn the TV off. If Microsoft would fix those issues, using this as a monitor would be even more enjoyable.

Way too much glare

Incredible amount of glare. Very distracting. You have to watch in the dark. The curved screen will take any insignificant amount of light in the next room and stretch a huge glare across the entire screen, end to end. I'm not exaggerating. Day time watching is fine but evening must be in complete dark.

Picture is beautiful in the dark. Apps are great but I do not recommend the curved screen. Flat with 3d is what I should have done. 3d is great too and user friendly.

No reliability issues after 14 months.

The "Smart Hub" options are nice and download time is fast for NetFlix

Picture is clear, bright and everything one would expect for 4K resolution. The "Smart Hub" options are nice and download time is fast for NetFlix, averaging just a few seconds. The remote control, is near perfect. very few buttons and acts like a mouse pointer to select options on screen. About time someone did that. Sound is ok, it will never replace home theater. Has more options that I will never use, such as blue tooth connection to cell phone for uploading apps. Only critique, would be the connections hub. (Separate hub for various component connection), no real complaint, it's just preference. I would prefer to have direct connection to plug components into TV rather than a external hub that has to be placed elsewhere.
