Essential tool for finding lost valuables underwater!by Paul Smith (5 out of 5 stars)

True story. While paddle boarding this summer I lost my brand new glasses in Lake Michigan. Rather than despair at my misfortune, some quick internet research led me to the Aquavue raft. With this indispensable tool I was able to find them (in over ten feet of clear water) six days later after only 90 minutes in the search area. The Aquavue raft is easy to blow up and use. The clear plastic bottom is perfect for viewing large swaths of the underwater environment. While I am considerably larger and heavier than the boy pictured in the photo, the raft had no trouble keeping me afloat.
Great for a family snorkeling trip

Our 4.5 year old was too nervous to snorkel in the open ocean, so we brought this boat with us from Minnesota to Hawaii. He loved it! We went on three separate snorkeling excursions - two on big boats and one on a small catamaran. All three boats had an outlet we could use to blow up the boat and a place to launch it. It was easy for us to push around and snorkel at the same time. Our little one could see all the same wildlife as us - eels on the sea floor, turtles, fish, etc. If I remember correctly, we were able to fold the boat up and put it in the front pocket of a full size suitcase. We also brought an air mattress pump to blow it up.
Such a cool idea!

We purchased this raft for our 4 year old and 1 year old. We live in a small mountain town that has many lakes and ponds. The kids were so excited to see through the raft, into the water. They could see all the rocks and plant life below. The raft is well made and was easy to inflate. There is plenty of space for 2-3 children.
Great Product.

I bought this knowing full well it wasn't made for adults. Well, I am a 45yr old with a fascination for sea life so when i took it to Mexico I had to test it out on the ocean. Works great for a 160lb guy, was extremely happy with the quality of build and materials.
Had a great time watching the fish swim below us....of course, if a shark appeared then the windowed bottom would not have been welcome :)
Great fun in the ocean or pool!

LOVE the boat and it's been a hit with the kids at the beach and in the pool. We've used it at the beach and in the pool and have even taken it on vacation/road trip. It rolls up easily and is small enough to travel with, yet big enough to fit 4 kids (9 yrs, two 8 yrs, and a 3-yr old); weight-wise that's over the stated limit (185 lbs), but space-wise it was OK.
It's fairly sturdy and had taken some abuse before it developed a 1-inch tear at the seam between the bottom and inflatable tube part, so, although water was coming in it still stayed afloat. We were pretty rough with it tho, so I'm not surprised it tore.
From the first use, as some reviewers noted, it did seem to lose a little air during use, but I was actually able to blow more air in while it was in the water because the holes are near the top (we were in a pool when I tried this). Additionally, the bottom seemed to stretch a bit after several uses, but again, we were pretty rough with it. We'd lift the kids and toss them over the side, and I'm sure one or two kids jumped into the boat from the side of the pool.
Needless to say it was GREAT fun. The bottom was very clear. My kids were looking for sea shells at the beach. Someone would pretend to be a shark in the pool. We never did get a chance to use it to see fish before it broke, but I'm sure it'd work well. We plan on ordering another one.
My only complaint is the small piece of rope they provide. It's so short it was hard to pull while at the beach; I'd wrap it around my hand to get a solid grip so it wouldn't get pulled away by waves. (Use it only when the water is really calm.) That was a small inconvenience.
Great little boat.

I purchased this clear bottom boat for my son. He loves it. Period. He fits in it perfectly and loves the little rope it comes with, he is able to "dock" it. Super cute.
Doesn't Work

If I was buying this solely to keep my son afloat and alive, it would be a decent purchase. However, we spent a small fortune on this overrated innertube because we wanted him to be able to "snorkel" with us in Hawaii when we all swam. The advertised concept is that the child can see beneath them, like a submarine or see-through boat. You cannot see through it at all, it is completely blurry and warped and the plastic isn't transparent. We also paid a lot of money to get the giant thing to and from the island, since it is so large and heavy. Considering how big and heavy it was, it was still a bit flimsy and he fell out at one point from just leaning on the side to sit comfortably. If course, we were both right there and he had a lifejacket on. But still, we were even more upset since we saw the whole thing happen. It wasn't fun diving down and chasing all his toys that suddenly littered the ocean as well, but we got them. I can't stomach the thought of recycling it, since it was so expensive, and it's too late to return it.

PERFECT for pre-swimming toddler so we could both check out the reefs. Good quality vinyl, smart valve system worked well with hand pump- just be sure to clean well with non salt water after use to preserve clarity of bottom plastic.
Maybe next time

We bought this for a float down on a spring in Florida. Unfortunately it deflated 40 minutes in. We had to keep blowing it up. The idea is fantastic. I probably just got a lemon. I would try it again.
Broke after 4 uses.

We bought this in July 2018 and used it at most 4 times while on a trip. It was wonderful at that time. When we got home we let the air out and stored it in the house until August 2019. When we blew it up again, we noticed that there were 5 big holes where the bottom clear section meets the blown up side. This is unacceptable being that we barely used it and it was stored properly. We've contacted the seller for a refund and are waiting for a reply. It's too bad because when we used it on our trip it was fantastic for our son to see the manatees swimming below. BTW...only our 6 year old was actually in the boat so no extreme weight was ever in the boat. Hopefully the seller will reply with a refund. I'll update if they do/do not.
