Product Description
Safety Indoors, Outdoors & On the RoadAs its name suggests, the Ivation 9-in-1 dynamo is a lightweight and portable device that is packed full with 9 highly useful safety and utility tools. Whether you're indoors during a blackout, outdoors on a camping or hiking adventure, or are simply a frequent road traveler, this device is the ultimate safety companion - and an economical one too. It is fully rainproof, so you can keep one at home, once in the garage, one in the shed, and one in the glove compartment, and they'll all be ready for you in any eventuality.
Intuitive Design for Ultimate Ease of Use
The Ivation 9-in-1 dynamo is shaped like your typical flashlight, with each function sensibly laid out. The tip features a bright 3-LED flashlight, a seatbelt cutter, and a windshield hammer with a rubber cover. Move towards the middle to find simple power and strobe controls, AM/FM radio controls, and the integrated crank handle. Further down, there's a speaker for the radio and SOS siren, an SOS flashing strobe, and ports for charging your mobile devices (cable and adapters included). The bottom packs a built-in ompass.
Flexible Charging Anywhere, Anytime
The internal rechargeable battery is large enough to supply a charge to your mobile phone and other devices. 3 adapters are included: Micro USB, Mini USB, and Apple Lighting. To charge the dynamo itself, connect it to a computer or wall outlet using the included USB cable, or simply turn the integrated crank handle to generate immediate power. Another nice feature is a set of four embedded magnets in the flashlight tip that adhere to your vehicle rooftop for increased visibility during a roadside emergency

Very Nice Except For The Radio Not Working After Only A Year Or So.....by Allen From YardSigns (3 out of 5 stars)

The Light Has Three Bulbs And Is Bright On The Highest Setting.... The Radio Has Quit Working Though....
I Keep It Around For Emergencies And Stuff - If The Battery Is Low, A Few Minutes Slow & Steady Cranking Will Give You Some Light.... It Can Also Be Charged Using The Included USB Cord....
It Has A Seat Belt Cutter And Window Breaking Hammer To Escape A Submerged Car.... Some Have Complained About How Hard It Is To Remove The Rubber Boot From The Hammer Point... I Didn't Have That Problem, Mine Comes Off Easy Enough And Could Possibly Be Left On And Still Break The Window ? ? Would Hate To Find Out The Hard Way Though....LOL...
It Has A Magnetic Front To Mount It On A Car To Use The Emergency Orange Flasher If Stranded On The Side Of The Road....
Very Nice Except For The Radio Not Working After Only A Year Or So..... While It Did Work, The Radio Was Loud And Clear And It Picked Up Stations Quite A Ways Off.... It Was Never Rained On So I Don't Know About That And I Don't Have A Clue Why The Radio Quit....
I Don't Even Know Why A Radio Was Included In The First Place... I Picture This Scenario: I Fall Asleep Behind The Wheel And The Car Goes Off The Side Of A Low Bridge Into The Drink... The Impact Wakes Me Up And I See Myself Submerging Front First Like A Submarine Heading Out To Sea.... I Can't Get The Seat Belt Off Because It's Jammed.... I Remember My Trusty Light In The Side Compartment And I'm Relieved It's Still There After The Plunge.... I Quickly Take It And Cut Myself Loose.... (You Have To Get Out Of The Seat Belt BEFORE Opening The Door ! !) The Car Hits Bottom About Now And I Is Getting Pretty Full Of Water.... I Try To Open The Door, But The Electrical Is Shot And The Locks Won't Open, Thus My Handel Does Nothing..... I Take The Pointed Hammer Part And Hit At The Window Until It Breaks Out Enough That I Can Exit Through The Window.... (The Windshield May Be Too Tough To Break Out..) I Quickly Make My Escape Holding My Breath And Get To The Surface As Quick As Possible.... Delighted That I'm Alive And Having The Light Still Attached To My Arm Through The Lanyard, I Swim To The Side Embankment..... Sitting There I Decide - "What The Heck, I'll Listen To The Radio While I'm Here..."
Kinda The Same With The Included Compass.... Unless You Know Exactly Where You Are On The Map - How Is A Compass Going To Get You Anywhere ? ? And If You Have The Map - Just Use The Map..... It's Cool It's Included Though....
Will buy again

This is an emergency flashlight meant for your car. I bought it because I wanted a hand crank radio that played AM/FM radio frequencies. Here in Oklahoma when tornadoes are about they broadcast local TV weatherman on the radio stations. It's more local and precise than the NOAA stations.
So this one will actually be in the house in case the power goes out and we can't watch the local channels. I can still hear them over the radio. But I like it so much I will be getting more for the cars.
The siren is really a good addition. It's really load. Worst case scenario if you're trapped under rubble and debris this will alert someone to your position.
Highly reccomended.

It works like a charm. I leave this in the glove compartment. It winds as described and can charge your phone. I bought this awhile ago and it still works great.

Great product. Only four stars because the iPhone lightning adapter does not work. Why can't I just plug my iPhone cord into the thing? Who knows. Other than that, does everything as advertised.

it exceeds expectation in every area except that it does not have the correct voltage to charge iphones. The description was a bit misleading on that point.
