The 1450M Concealed Storage Mirror was designed to be inconspicuous while still providing a means to access the goods behind it. When closed, it is impossible to tell that it is anything other than a normal mirror. The mirrored cover is equipped with a hidden magnetic lock. To open the unit, just pass the magnetic key over the surface of the frame near the lock and the storage area will click open. From there, simply slide the cover to reveal whatever you may have stored. This piece is designed to make others believe this piece is a standard framed mirror. The construction of these covers is robust. The mirror is backed with a security panel to prevent access into your wall insert, and is encased in a full frame for added rigidity and security. The magnetic locking mechanism is sturdy and well tested and protects your cover from being opened without a key. Installation is as easy as counting to three. First, after you've decided where to put it, you can hang the included instruction sheet on the wall and use it as a template to cut around. Second, you will mount the cover. Third, you will slide the insert into the hole and the 1-inch lip of the insert will hide any irregular edges from your cuts. After installing, you can add shelves, or whatever else you can think of to make your insert right for you before you deck it out with your goods. Locking Mechanism FAIL.

Would have received 5 star for such great build quality. Seriously. but the fact of the matter is that the area that holds the locking mechanism is about 2mm thick of wood that's supposed to stop prying hands. My 2 year lod can force her way in. This area needs to be reinforced with metal or high quality polymers... something! Definitely more than a thin piece of 2mm of wood. Thin as ever. The idea is superbadass. This item needs an update desperately. As I still want one. Just one with a little more security from children... still disappointed. For $500. Their should better security
