Great bag for a great price.by Mloesel (5 out of 5 stars)

Just got the bag so I haven't had much time with it but the initial reaction is good. The solar charger is slim and feels pretty sturdy for the thickness. Battery is decent sized and seems to charge up in a matter of a few hours. Haven't used the water pack yet but is plenty big enough for a days worth of water at a music festival or nice hike in the heat. Storage space isn't huge but plenty big enough for gadgets and basic travel items. I have read others say to leave or protect your electronics that are stored in the bag incase condensation gets the bag wet. I haven't used item enough to see if this is an issue. The build quality seems durable and strong. I am 6'2" and 250 pounds. The bag straps around me comfortable with plenty more room if needed. So far I am happy with the purchase and I can't wait to get out and use the bag to it's full potential which should be soon here in this Texas heat. I also plan on ordering another one for my girlfriend since she is already jealous of it.
Nicer than expected

This is nicer in person than it looks on the web site. So often it's the other way around, but when I got this I thought, "wow, this is really nice fabric. Color is richer than the bright red it appears to be." I half expected it to be kind of cheap, relying on the gimmick of the solar panel. It's not. It's a quality camel back back pack. Perfect for day hikes. If you are like me and you geo-track all your hikes, you may know the frustration of having your phone die mid-hike. Now I have a hedge against that. Coolio.
I bought this for my daughter, who wanted it ...

I bought this for my daughter, who wanted it for her annual trip to Burning Man. Why she needs it in the playa where there is no signal, you got me. Maybe to take pictures with. Dropped a star because it takes forever to actually charge the phone even when the cells are in direct sunlight for hours, but that shouldn't matter as she will be sitting doing nothing for hours during the day anyway. Backpack itself is decent and well-made and with the bladder, I'll know she will still stay somewhat hydrated while visiting the yearly hippie commune...I mean "Artist" gathering.
Ended up with a dead phone for 2 days

Bought this for because of all the music festivals/general outdoor activities I enjoy. I used this pack once and the solar panel no longer charges. I didn't have a back up panel, so I was out of luck for 2 days. Save your money and buy a beefier solar panel and hook it to a hydration pack. Wish I could return this item.
Gift for sister

Well I got this as a present for my sister & I asked her how well she liked it & she said "She absolutely loves it"
She said it has worked very well for her & her kids because they go to Disneyland a lot so she takes it & charges her phones. So far she hasn't had any kind of problems & we hope she doesn't.
Thank You!!
I don't use the backpack, it's really really small ...

I don't use the backpack, it's really really small. I did however just remove the solar panel and keep that in my car and use it on occasional beach/camping trips. It works will keep your phone from dying for a few hours at the least.
Good concept combined backpack and solar panel; child size.

Decent idea; I like the PV panel enough to order one separate from this (I ended up returning this setup); the pack seems designed for a child and the torso length is very short (and I use small to medium packs and this was too short) and the snaps to retain the pv panel kept releasing (wrong application for these light duty snaps; found on some shirts for example).
