Well, is is holding an internal vacuum and it is a 64 ounce growler. I have not rigorously tested this in any way, but it does transport beer (or your fluid of choice) and keeps it cold. The ability to remove the 'spout' helps with filling the jug, and so that is a plus. The spout itself has a simple screw on cap - and I am sure that if it is full and gets a vigorous shake, that it may leak beer onto the car carpet - but I don't think that is a bad thing, as it is not really meant to be a pressurized container. For the price, it is a good quality product with an uninspiring color. Since I am more interested in its function, it is doing the job very well.

I have yet to test it with beer, but I will say that I am very happy with it to keep liquids cold. We were going on a Disneyland trip and I wanted something that would keep our water cold all day so we wouldn't need to purchase water or drinks in the park. I would say this paid for itself during our trip saving us money from buying drinks in the park. I may need to buy another just for beer and one for amusement park trips :)

The build material is very sturdy as we had it hanging on our stroller all week and there were no dents or scratches.

Really wanted to like this item as it looks good, got it for a great price, and most of the other reviews were good. Unfortunately, the bartender who fillled it up for me the first time pointed out that it was leaking very slightly around the neck, and sure enough I put it in my bike bag and by the time I got home my bag smelled like the brewery and I'd lost an inch or so of beer. Didn't seem like it was an issue of physical damage, so I'm thinking it's a design issue and I returned it for a refund.

I first purchased two of these growlers to replace my glass growlers. The glass growlers required me to carry around a cooler to keep the contents at the right temperature. The Mira growlers kept my treasure at just the right temperature throughout the evening. As a matter of fact, they worked so well that I purchased another set for two of my friends and they love them too. These are a terrific value.

Quality craftsmanship, feels solid, and I like the idea of being able to unscrew the entire top piece to reveal a large wide mouth for filling the growler, and then unscrew the smaller top top for pouring. In my first trial run, the growler sat out for two hours (one of those in the sun) and the beer was as cold as it was when it came out of my kegerator. They claim it can keep your beer cold for 12 hours, but I've never heard of any beer ever remaining in a growler for more than a couple hours. I probably don't want to hang out with people that keep beer in their growler for 12 hours. Very nice product, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Got this from my wife as a gift. I love this thing, great quality. When i first got it i poured hot water in it to sanitize it, closed it and shook it very hard, and i got scared because some water leaked out the cap. I then used way more force to tighten the cap very securely, and shook it again...No Leak! Turns out you have to tighten it VERY hard to get a good seal going. Hope that helps! Overall very happy with the product.

Great Insulated Growler

I was looking for a reasonably priced growler that was insulated and looked good and reasonably priced. This product worked great for me. I like the removable top for filling, and then using the flip top for pouring. I put ice water in the growler on the way to the microbrewer. After filling, the beer stayed cold for over 24 hours. Very pleased with my purchase.

Arrived in exactly how I expected and is a great option vs the more expensive products. I used this on the beach in New Jersey on a hot summer day for a large mixed drink (90+ degrees). We only used 2 ice cubes and didn't put the growler in the cooler. Still the drink stayed ice cold the entire day (over 8 hours). Even the ice melted and beers in the cooler got warm in this amount of time!

I purchased this growler in brown and definitely like the contrast with the lid. It is sturdy and it didn't seem to leak like I saw in other reviews. There are two lids, basically. You can unscrew the whole lid (the top plastic part) and use it as a cup. Make sure it is cranked down a bit or it might leak from there. Or, you can just open the part and pour out your frosty brew. Got lots of comments on it even on its first outing to the local bar. Overall a good product.

We're a water bottle collecting family. We have tried all the brands from Nalgene to Kleen Kanteen in search of a good water bottle. However, in the summer no one wants to drink warm water in the heat of the day! So we decided to search for an insulated water bottle that would provide enough water to last a day and stay cold even if kept in full sun for hours. Enter the Mira Growler...we don't drink alcohol but the large 64 oz capacity was very appealing. We also like the simple but durable filling and handle option. It is nice that the outside is plain so you don't deal with flashy logos or brand names-you can stick your own stickers on here for personalization!

We finally tested it out in non-air conditioned conditions. Long, hot Florida summer ... Filled it only half way with ice and the rest water but it lasted the WHOLE day! Filled at noon, left in hot car that was parked in full sun, came back late at night and there was still ice! We LOVE this insulated bottle! Now we just need a more manageable size for daily hikes (32-48 oz) would be awesome. This growler filled to capacity is a tad cumbersome for a regular jaunt without a backpack or stroller but awesome nonetheless!!!
