Updated review: I had previously given 4 stars because though the bird feeder seemed to be good quality, the suction cups wouldn't hold the feeder on the window. I did cover this in my review so others would know. I just planned on going and getting some cups that were a little sturdier. Within 5 minutes of my review, I had an email from the company stating that they would be sending out another feeder with suction cups because the cups must have been faulty as they are normally very durable. This was great customer service! I received the new feeder in the mail yesterday and put it up. So far, it is still sttached to the window.

Hanging on my office window and have a motion sensor camera in that window. The pictures are fantastic! Birds on the wing coming in with feathers splayed in beautiful displays. So far it is firmly attached to the window and the birds are flocking to it!

EVERY HOUSE NEEDS THIS

Probably the best purchase of my life! Not only for the wonder of seeing the birds up so close and so often, but for the unexpected entertainment of watching our cats watching them! They desperately paw away at the window but the birds have learned that they're safe... so we joke that they must be laughing at the cats and "Flipping them the Bird!" Now imagine getting this for a loved one with Alzheimer's - as I did. And every time the birds come (and the cats do their thing), it is, for this loved one, a brand new experience wiith a new fascination and as much delight & laughter on the 700th time as on the first. And it never gets old. (And I never thought I'd find a bright side to Alzheimer's Disease...).

We LOVE this feeder, and so do the half-dozen or so other folks who've bought one for themselves after experiencing the joy of ours!

Terrific bird feeder!!

We are so happy with this bird feeder. We followed the suggestions in the comment section and purchased a mix of black sunflower seeds and nuts that we sprinkled on the ground around the feeder. Within three days, we had finches and blue jays stopping in for breakfast and lunch. We were concerned that the feeder would not work given the number of crows/ravens we have in our neighbourhood, but they haven't deterred our smaller guests. The suction cups work beautifully and the feeder is very sturdy. We placed it a few feet up from our kitchen deck window where we can watch the birds eat while sipping our coffee.

Terrific purchase. I am thinking of buying a second one for our bedroom window as well. Definitely recommend this product.

Clever Idea and Design

I absolutely love this bird feeder. I also found the customer service department to be nice and attentive with a concern that I had. It is obvious that they take pride in their product and business and in this day and age, it was surprising and refreshing. The quality of the plastic is really nice (so clear it almost looks like glass). The suction cups and hooks work very well and make taking down the feeder effortless. However, you probably will not need to take it down very often since it is very easy to just add the bird seed. You may have the minor occasion when you will need to clean and the hooks make that extremely convenient. I have had this feeder up for a few days and so far, only one blue jay has been visiting and he is selfishly withholding the news to the other birds. I have it on my kitchen window over the sink and it is quite fascinating and fun to see the blue jay up close eating from this feeder. I would purchase this again and definitely recommend it.

UPDATE:

I have had this feeder for quite few months now and the blue jay finally leaked the news to the other birds in the area. We now have mourning doves (my favorites), sparrows, additional blue jays and a red cardinal. My cats approve of the entertainment.

Great Purchase for a Reasonable Price

This is a fantastic product! I had birds enjoying it within a few hours of hanging it. There had been a snowstorm, which I am sure helped with that. Since then, its gotten more and more popular. A plethora of birds are now enjoying the shrubs, tree and pond outside my window. I've never seen birds so close up before! They seem to have generally become very accustomed to the activity within the house. I can enter or leave the room without causing too much fuss. If any birds do fly off when there is activity within the room, they seem to return pretty quickly. I have seen sparrows, juncos, cardinals and blue jays. Honestly though, it's the ability to see them close up which holds so much appeal for me rather than the variety of birds. Oh, and great, fun, and helpful customer service.

Squirrel feeder

Love the feeder although it should be renamed as a squirrel feeder as they are the only visitors we have had. I don't mind, and as you can see neither do the cats, but this may bother some people. I think they are cute, so I am still very much enjoying the feeder.

Tranquil fills the Bill

I've been watching birds most of my eighty odd years but this is the feeder that brings me cheer. Finch and Titmouse, Cardinal and Jay, came to eat on the very first day. Chickadees and Wren birds have joined the Frey and so far the Starling has stayed away. Rowdy chicks get fed on the perch, they line the pew, just like in church. A gallery of Mourning Doves and Grackles gather on the ground to catch the offering the Sparrows throw down. Their colors all ablaze, backlit by the sun, they wait on a branch to join in the fun. Mother and I have nowhere better to go, in our recliners we rest and enjoy the show.

Hangs well and the birds like it

I like the bird feeder, it seems stable and strong and the birds seem to like it. We definitely get less birds in this feeder than with our hanging copper one, but they do still come to this feeder as well. I will say that I did not find it super easy to hang up. Yes, you can take a ruler and measure the distance between each suction cup hole, and get a leveler, and then arrange to hang the feeder. But I had to hang the feeder on my window while I was standing on a ladder.... so I did my best estimating where the suction cups would go, I attached them, and then I tried to hook the feeder on them. But then I'd have to remove the feeder and re-position the suction cups when they were not perfectly straight (not so easy while on a ladder).
*It was well packaged with hard foam to protect it during during.

WONDERFUL BIRD FEEDER!!!!

I received my Tranquil Outdoors Window Bird Feeder very quickly and just in time before our first big snowstorm. I LOVE THIS FEEDER!!! And so do the birds! I have 2 other standard feeders which are not as much fun because you can't see the birds when they land on the opposite side of the feeder, but THIS feeder is awesome. You have full view of the birds and they don't seem to see you. My cat likes to sit in the window next to the feeder and bat at the window but the birds just sit there eating :) so my cat loves it too! It is very sturdy and sticks to the window well. Super simple to install and refill. I recommend this bird feeder to anyone who loves birds and wants to have a great view of them. Very enjoyable!!!
