I'm very pleased. A quality product for my camper at a reasonable price!by AmazonShopperDavid (5 out of 5 stars)

I'm very pleased with this little fan set. I voided the warranty I'm sure by taking it apart to figure out where the wires ran inside. I then drilled a few holes in the base and mounted it on the lower ceiling inside my camper. The goal is to move the heat round. These fans are nice and quiet. They draw around .6A on low and 1.2A on high. They move the air nicely. I think they will be a real plus when summer comes too. I'm sure they never intended them to be ceiling mounted, but they work great in this application with just a little modification. Just watch the wires in the base of you done what I did so you don't hit them. They kind of run everywhere in there. WIre was far too long. But I decided to bundle it and hide it for now. May shorten it later if I decide to keep the fans where they are installed.

I deliver mail and used this today, July 9th. It cuts some of the oppressive heat out. Very quiet and nice airflow. Especially like that the heads swivel and can be pointed in different directions.

Does the job but after a week or so it started making weird noises. It's tolerable but noticeable.
Update. Abovetek saw my review and offered a replacement. Sure enough, the new one is much better. No stray noises to be heard. Thanks for taking care of this AboveTek and being professional.

My AC went out in my car so thought I would try these. They work great and fit perfectly on my dash! Going to buy another one for the passenger side and one as a gift :)
Great for urban camping
by Joe Bennett (5 out of 5 stars)

I do alot of urban camping in my 1990 ford ranger. Its not that I am homeless I have a real nice home. I just refuse to pay the outrageous prices for a hotel room when I travel. So for the price of a one nite stay at a decent hotel I converted the bed of my ranger into a camper and use a cab high shell as the roof. I have power, a bed, tv, cooking area, water, toilet and storage. Bathing is taken care of at truck stops. You can imagine it does get hot in the camper at times. So, I ordered one of these 12volt two head fans to circulate the air. Because of the price I really didn't expect to much when I ordered it. I just needed a quiet 12volt fan to move the air. As a urban camper I don't want to draw any undue attention to myself. Thats why my I keep my truck mechanically sound, clean and with a decent paint job. When I received the fan and turned it on I was impressed. The fan moves quite a bit of air and with the directional heads I can put the air where I need it. I was so impressed that I ordered two more that night. With two of them and the window opened a little I can create a breeze in the camper. I also put one in the cab of the truck. It should help with not having to use the AC as much. Which in turn should help with increasing my gas mileage. Instead of useing the supplied adhesive pads to mount the fan's I have glued small magnets to the bottoms. Which allows me to position them anywhere in the camper or truck that is metal. I just received them. So, I can't attest to their durability at this time. In my opinion, these fans don't cost that much and with the money I am saving by not staying at motels when I travel. I could buy a new one every month and still keep hundreds of dollars in my pocket. Which allows me to travel more.
No A/C? No problem!

My car is old (240,000 miles!) and the A/C compressor went out a long time ago. Now, I don't know about you, but I feel like my car could die at any moment...so I've been very mixed on paying hundreds of dollars to fix the AC when the car could break the next day. It's not so bad when you can have the car windows down, but on a hot rainy day, the car can get pretty sweltering!
So I got to thinking if there was a car fan, and sure enough there was.
These fans push a surprising amount of air, and have done a great job at keeping things cool.
The only way they could be improved is if the fans swiveled sideways. As it stands, the fans will swivel up and down but not sideways.
Makes noticeable difference

We have a 2000 Honda Accord and a 2001 Honda Accord. The AC/heater fan went out on both several years ago. Well, actually, will blow, but terrible racket and the higher the fan speed, the louder the noise. They still seem very good cars otherwise but together have a half million miles on them and do not seem worth the many hundreds of dollars it would take to fix the fans. Putting this fan on the dash above the middle AC vent (which I aimed upward toward this fan because it still blows somewhat cold, just doesn't blow very hard at the lowest fan setting) helped a lot, especially after lowering the back windows just a tad which improved air flow without as much road noise and interior wind as when opening windows was the only option. I did not give it a 5 for versatility because it glues in place and I think it will not help as much in the winter with the heated air as it would if it could be placed in the floor at that time.
Worst item I've bought in a while

Not sure how so many people could like this product. I almost never take the time to leave a review for anything but for this I just couldn't help myself. First off, from day one both of the units i ordered were incredibly loud. The knob to turn the fans on is jambed between the two fans and is very hard to get to let alone turn since the knob is smooth. These knob issues wouldn't be so much of a problem if the knob wouldn't lock up all the time once the fans are off, this leaves you fighting to get them back on if you can. I finally broke one of the fans off trying to get them turned back on, and then the knob off there after since it still refused to turn. Will never buy one of these again.
Great for Circulation of Air all the way around

I absolutely love these. We deliver wedding cakes and as you know in a cargo van there are no vents in the back. So we ordered a few of these and placed them around in the back (they come so you can stick them up as we'll ) and when the air conditioning is on it circulates the cold air through out the back of the van.
A friend showed me this little fan. We use them in our boat cabins to keep the air moving

My friend had this little fan in his boat. I went and bought one for mine. We leave it running 24/7 and it moves the air so as not to start mold growth in the cabin. Having two fans that are directional really helps to keep the air from stagnating and starting mold growth in a sealed cabin. When we go to the boat here in the Pacific Northwest in the morning, the windows are fogged on the inside and condensation on the outside. I open one small vent window and place this little fan blowing on the windshield to burn the fog off and it does wonders. I cant say how great this fan is and how little it costs. I highly recommend it as it moves a lot of air for a small fan.
