I've looked at these types of tools for years and blew them off. I just thought no way they could work. THEN...Sprouts had pineapples on sale for an insane price. I bought this and some pineapples and ....IT WORKS. It really works. You get one large spiral so you can't get whole rings (you can get sliced rings) but it's easy to cut perfect chunks from the spiral of fruit. This thing is amazing!!!!!

I love pineapple but I hate to cut it up. I am one of those 'pure moms' that only buys fresh produce for my family. This product was a pineapple lovers dream! The first time used it was today for a really ripe fresh pineapple I purchased a couple of days ago. (I always let them sit on my counter for a couple of days to finish ripening up). I followed the simple directions that shipped with the product and very quickly I had a pile of wonderful pineapple rings to cut into wedges for breakfast. Also, because the pineapple was very ripe, there was a nice unexpected well of fresh juice in the pineapple after the coring process. I nice alternative sweetner for our yogurt! Highly recommend this product.

I really like it and feel it did a pretty good job, however, if you are short it is difficult to get the proper angle. I wasn't able to get it straight in the pineapple which resulted in my getting some of the core and wasting some of the good fruit. A problem for me was getting the buttons pushed in to remove the handle. I will not lock it in for future use. All and all I think a younger tall, strong person would have no problems with this tool. :-) I sent this one as a gift to my son and his girlfriend and advised her to let him use the tool.

It works on smaller pineapples

This is OK for a small/medium pineapple but very inefficient for a large pineapple. It leave a lot of fruit behind. I use it but tend to hand cut pineapples more often then using this.

This product works but you have to make sure that you get a smallish pineapple since the corer is only so big. If you buy a larger pineapple, you waste quite a bit of flesh on the inside where the corer doesn't reach.(You can always salvage some flesh by cutting up the pineapple afterward, but that defeats the purpose) The product itself is very well made. I bought one for myself and another for my elderly Mother. Unfortunately, she found it difficult to use since you have to put some effort into pulling the cored product out of the fruit. I am unable to return it since it's already past the return date. Overall, its good.

Not very sturdy

I used it for the second time today as i was preparing for a party this coming weekend. The blade broke, I'm glad I noticed because I would have hated biting or swallowing a piece of it. Guess I'll go back to the way I use to cut pineapples. Very disappointed.

Works flawlessly and WAY cheaper price than it seems for the quality. The plastic is pretty darn think and formed well and the metal core and blades are much thicker gauge steel than I figured it would be. Built well and extremely fast and easy to use. The instruction foldout was simple step 1-2-3 style in easy to understand and color pictures. Would definitely recommend this...especially for the $4.99 price!

This thing is awesome! Makes prepping a pineapple an absolutely easy task. Must have if your a pineapple fan! The metal used is nice and strong. The plastic handle is molded well and seems strong. Directions are simple and easy to follow. This thing IS sharp on the end so watch your fingers and dont cut yourself! I highly recommend this product. Makes what would otherwise be hard, really easy.

Perfect Rings

A marvelous device. Easily bores through the inside of the pineapple to produce perfectly formed continuous spiraling rings. The only time it won't work well is if you have a pineapple that is too narrow for the circular part of the device to fit inside the shell of the pineapple. That is not likely, but just a warning to avoid excessively narrow pineapples if you expect to use this device.

So cool how it gets the pineapple out already sliced just like you can get it out of the can. So easy - no strength needed! :) The only thing I'm not wild about and it may be user error but i think you have to take that handle off to get the pineapple off and keep it in whole rings - other wise you can slice the rings down the side and get them off that way, so then you have halved rings. Still - it's awesome!
