No 100 day return.

Glorified toaster oven, we found it to be not worth the expense. Also beware that the 100 day no questions asked return only applies if it's bought directly off the June site. Found this out the hard way.

Its a big investment, but I'm very happy with my purchase.

It has timers and wifi apps and all sorts of bells and whistles, (It even has a scale to weigh items built into its top), that others here have reviewed better than I could. My review is about getting over the big price tag. I felt foolish shelling out this kind of dough for a toaster oven. I saw this product on some online kitchen gadget show and thought it looked kewl, but not a realistic item for my budget. At the same time my long time Cuisinart toaster oven had finally bit the dust. I kept thinking about the june, but looked at other ovens for the actual replacement. I just couldn't get it out of my mind and eventually I bit the bullet and got it. I am not disappointed. This oven not only lives up to all the hype, but it makes a damn fine bagel. It knows this because when you put a bagel in the oven it tells you that's what you put in it and sets the time automatically for toasting that bagel. Its well made, fun to use, and dang if it isn't fun to show off to friends and family.

It is such fun to watch the food cook on my iPad
by azgma (5 out of 5 stars)

Received the June oven last week. I have made a beef roast, enchiladas, pumpkin pie, cookies and English muffins and hamburgers.. I try one or 2 dishes a day. I am still learning. I find it cooks some items in about half the time as a regular oven. It is such fun to watch the food cook on my iPad. I will update my thoughts on the June in a few months. As of now I will enjoy my new toy.

Don't Buy!!!!!
by Trish (1 out of 5 stars)

If I could give this Oven a half a star I would. I bought 2 of them in May. One didn't work out of the box and had to send back for a replacement. The other one was working fine up until a few weeks ago. Now it won't shut off, stops cooking mid cycle, won't start, control panel freezes....I've reset it multiple times and it doesn't help. Now I have this very expensive non functioning oven and I can't even get in touch with the June Oven team. THEY TO TO REPLACE IT FOR ME!!!!! When it worked I loved it. Now I just feel like I wasted my money.

pretty lame for 2017
by MaxPSI (2 out of 5 stars)

2018 update.

June appears to have no appetite to support Android. Hasn't been a huge issue but...

For the first time, I'm now seeing features of the app that go beyond the software on the unit, which I cannot access as an Android user. Can't even pair it with my Alexa without an Apple device. How ironic is that? It's pretty cool that fancy toaster oven updates itself over wifi, and every once in a while recognizes the food that I shove into it...

To reiterate: it's 2018. There are thousands of cross platform mobile apps. These things are no longer difficult to write. Hell, the hardware in the June could easily emit a browser app. No excuses, only failure.

Up until now, there's been nothing important that required the app. So whatever. But pairing with my home control system requires an Apple device to run the app? Really? This might sound like a quibble, but the marketing is all about having a precision, connected cooking device. The device.is all that... as long as you use Apple. Lame, lame, lame.

Taking off a star. If I could rate the oven itself, it would be four. It really is an awesome toaster oven. It's beyond a toaster oven. If it were $700 it would be a pretty great thing. But for $1500 and only works with Apple it's quite disappointing. You're paying a 100% premium for high-tech bragging rights, and June does not deliver.

If the people who make this thing were to deliver some powerful, cross-platform software that allowed for some flexible multi-step programs... it would be worth every penny.

As it is right now, unless you're an iPhone user who roasts Delicata Squash on a regular basis this is probably more money than you should spend. You'd be better off getting a chamber vacuum and an additional sous-vide device. Unless you already have those. In which case, go for the June but be aware of the stunted software situation.

Here is the reviewer who keeps removing stars. Well done, June.

I'm giving this 3 stars, for two reasons. First, the app is only available for iOS. If you have android, you're out of luck. They "hope to release Android soon." Still, pretty lame for 2017. Second, the manual cook controls are very confusing with regard to setting the timer. It's many steps, and very easy to walk away believing you've set the timer when you haven't. It would be super nice to be able to set multiple time and temperature steps, including the probe. I really want an Alexa skill for it. Fortunately, June can solve these problems with software updates, so I'm looking forward to that.

The build quality is excellent. Even the packaging is great. It comes with a cloth tote you use to pull it out of the box. It is bigger and heavier than a normal toaster oven, but happily mine fit in the same spot previously occupied by my Breville.

The temperature control is accurate, which I can't say about any other appliance I own except my sous vide. I did a 9 hour roast at 160F, which would have been effectively impossible with anything else.

In short, where even a great toaster oven is still just a toaster oven, this feels and functions like a real appliance and has quite a lot more utility than a toaster oven.

The food recognition actually does work, and the automatic cooking features seem to be pretty good. That being said, unless your diet consists entirely of the few dozen items it knows about, it's not a magic cooking device. You still have to know how to cook, which goes back to the cumbersome manual controls mentioned above. If they make the manual control better and release an Android app, I'll give 5 stars for sure.
---------------------------------------------

Update: It's now June (ironically) and as far as I can tell no software updates, no Android app, not even follow up from the company. Feels like these guys are asleep at the wheel. When you toss out crazy bucks for something like this, you should at least expect some kind of buzz for current owners. Losing enthusiasm fast.

Update 2: July 10, 2017

I just had the thing happen that really bugs me, so I thought I'd write an update while it's fresh. Without using the presets... set to Roast (or anything) at, say, 500f. It goes into Preheat mode. It doesn't offer the OBVIOUS next choice, which would be to set the timer. Instead, you have to drill down into Settings, choose Timer, and then set your timer. It begins to preheat. I usually just put my food in at this point. This oven preheats fast, so it seems pointless to wait. In any case, the oven GIVES NO SIGNAL that preheating is done. Instead, it just sits there and says "ready to cook." The options are slim here. There's no obvious "Start Cooking" button. So the end result is that while I'm thinking that since I set my temperature and time and the oven must be progressing, it is instead holding the temperature indefinitely and waiting for me to come and poke the screen. My food has been cooking. It doesn't bother to tell me when it reached the set temperature, so I have to estimate how long it's actually been in there. Lame lame lame. Tempted to remove a star.

Newest High tech appliance worth it's price.
by Melinda J. McCarley (5 out of 5 stars)

I've had my June for about 2 weeks now and love it. The first thing you will notice when you open the box is the high quality of June. It is packed remarkably. Then you see the quality of June's construction. It is so well insulated that you can put your hand on the outside of June and it is barely warm. The built in scale is an added bonus. You can weigh your food by placing it on top of the oven for your own information but June weighs the food when you put it in the oven to determine how long it is to cook. The cameras recognizes many, many types of food and then cooks it. Bacon is one of my favorite preprogramed foods. It comes out perfectly every time. I used the probe to cook my meatloaf and it was perfect. The iPhone app is really handy. You can keep an eye on your food without having to stay in the kitchen. Two weeks is not enough time I know to fully evaluate a new sophisticated appliance but I couldn't be happier with my June.

Pricey?
by Terry L Brown (5 out of 5 stars)
March 29, 2017

First of all let me say this is a high end oven, and if you can't justify the price you probably won't be happy no matter the performance. That being said, and an important consideration for me, I still couldn't resist. So, am I happy with the oven, yes. Do I think it is perfect for the price, probably no, but it is still worth the price to me. First, I wanted a convection oven, and this oven is brilliant in that respect. It has two fans not just one like other ovens so it heats unbelievably even and quick! The food recognition is remarkable though I wish the list was longer, which the June people say will increase with updates (we shall see). It is also on the small size (which is good on space) so even a small chicken won't fit without splitting) so don't even think about a turkey no matter how small. So all that said, it still cooks amazingly well, and I even use the built in scale which I have never used before and have since discovered being precise is much better than "guesstimating". Finally if I get many years of use out of this oven then I will say it was definitely worth the price.....

Update!

Well 7 months later and I have really fallen in love with this Oven. If something were to happen to my Oven, I would definitely buy another replacement. It is now an indispensable part of my cooking routine, and just works sooo well!

Machine sprinkled with pixie dust

I don't know if there's enough space in this box to fit all the wonderful things I have to say about the June Oven. I've only had it for a little over a week and I've used it everyday since. If you know nothing about cooking or baking, it's smart enough to help you so that you don't burn down your kitchen. If you're an expert cook or baker, it'll only make you more efficient and enhance your talent. I've made everything from over easy eggs to kouign amann in this oven. Everything comes out perfectly cooked. When you have questions or issues, the June support team responds quicker than you can blink. A lot of people may think the price tag is a little steep, but it's worth every penny and more! I hope in the future they make a full sized one that they can put inside new homes. This is the future, people! The Jetsons are becoming reality and it's starting with the June Oven. :)

Easy and cool!
by Frank R. Brletich (5 out of 5 stars)
January 26, 2017

We received our June oven about 2 weeks ago and having been using it every day since then. Set up took less than 30 minutes even with installing the app. Every thing that we've cooked has turned out great! The recognition and presets worked as advertised for us with the bacon, sweet potatoes and even toast cooked just as we like them. It's also very cool, both figuratively and literally. It looks great on our counter and the app let's you watch what's going on and notifies you when the cook time is about done, which we really like. But even when we're cooking at a high temperature the oven itself is only slightly warm to the touch! June heats up quickly, distributes the heat very evenly and maintains a precise temperature making for very consistent and fast cooking. We're looking forward to trying out more recipes.
