WHAT IS THIS SORCERY?!by Cy Serrano (5 out of 5 stars)

I consider myself a connoisseur of sorts when it comes to water bottles. Klean Kanteen, Camelbak, Nalgene, Contigo... I've tried them all. Amazon has a lot of my money because I'm constantly losing my water receptacles. When I came across the AquaFlask, I was super jazzed not only because it looked super cook and space-agey, but also because it had a freakin huge handle... like the one attached to your ninja turtles lunchbox that you took to preschool with you. You never lost that thing. It was too important. You walked into that room, clutching that handle thinking, "Yeah... my lunchbox is stinkin' AWESOME."
The AquaFlask is no different. Now a grown adult, I cross streets, walk down boulevards, and into my office clutching my AquaFlask handle thinking, "Yeah... this water bottle is THE FREAKIN BEE'S KNEES MAN."
And lets just talk a moment about how crazy this insulated double wall business is. When I was reading about what that feature does, I was like.. PSH yeah sure, dude. Keep my delicious bevvys cool/hot for hours? I'm not holding my breath... but lo and behold! The first night with my A-Flay, I filled it up with some water from my Britta tank sitting in me fridge. Had a couple sips before going to bed. And then when I woke up 12 hours later, the water was just as cold as when it was in the fridge! THAT'S FREAKIN MADNESS, BRO.
So long story, short - this bottle is the real deal, my friends. You got that awesome handle so you never lose it - clutching it like grandma's pearls. It's got this futuristic matte grey that makes me think it might shapeshift at any moment and become a galaxy transport to save me from our crumbling planet. And it maintains the temperature of the beverage it's protecting. No longer do I have to reheat my tomato soups in a stupid bowl. I can just pour it into my AguaMatraz. And my ice cold pressed juices stay super chill too.
Anyway, 'nuff said. This thing is amazing and you should get one if you like good things.
Great bottle, great value!

I'm a reasonably active guy - I golf a couple of times a week, run nearly every day, and spend a fair bit of my vacations outdoors. So I have 4-5 water bottles, all from "name" manufacturers. Unfortunately, even when they're crammed with ice to start, none of them can keep my drink cold for long when I'm outside, and with one exception they sweat like linebackers in a Zumba class. This usually means that there's a puddle in the cup holder of my car, or water dripping from my golf bag, or wet socks in my day pack. These are not fun things.
For a recent trip, one of my wife's friends loaned her a double-wall stainless drink bottle, and after living with it for a week, we decided that we should have ones of our own. When I went to the website of the loaner bottle I got a bit of sticker shock, so I started looking for a substitute that would work as well but perhaps not force me to part with a c-note for a pair. I wanted a bottle that would keep ice frozen long enough to have ice in my refill (which means that it had to have a big enough opening to put ice in it in the first place), didn't sweat, fit in the cup holder of my car, and didn't cost an arm and a leg. After reading a lot of Amazon reviews, I settled on the AquaFlask, and bought a pair for me and my wife (for the same cost as buying a single one of the fancy bottle my wife had borrowed which, incidentally, doesn't fit in any cup holder we could find).
I'll cut to the chase - I don't have a single bad thing to say about these bottles. The day they arrived I washed them, then filled mine with ice and water, refilling the water several times during the evening. When I went to refill the bottle in the morning as preparation for a 6 hour car trip, there was still ice in it from the previous night! I topped the bottle up with ice, refilled the water, and had cold water for the entire trip, using the same ice for several refills. The AquaFlask didn't sweat, fit the cup holder, and kept my beverage ice cold all day. Since then I've used it while golfing in near 100 degree temps, taken it to the gym, and used it as a flask for rum drinks, and it's been perfect for every occasion.
Our Maytag ice maker makes pretty standard crescent moon ice, and it the "cubes" fit through the neck of the AquaFlask, although the ones that have a bit of "flash" on the edges need a minute to melt before they fall through.
I'm ambivalent about the handle - I don't often carry the bottle by the handle, so it's sometimes a bit in the way, but I like being able to stand the neck up on the handle to keep it off the ground when I'm outside, and setting the handle 90 degrees to the bottle keeps it from rolling around if you need to put it on the seat or in the floor of your car (we have one car with the worst cup holders ever designed, don't judge anything by whether it fits these cupholders - I'm pretty sure that espresso was invented just so you could have a cup of coffee in these cup holders). So I'm going to call it a wash. If it really bothers me it won't take but a minute with a hacksaw to solve the problem, but for now I'm leaving it alone.
One reviewer claimed that the finish was so strange feeling that they couldn't use the bottle. With all apologies to that reviewer, they have issues that go way beyond water bottles. The finish feels like chalkboard paint, and in fact we've taken to labeling our bottles by writing our names on them with sidewalk chalk. I really like that the finish doesn't get slippery when it's wet (just because the AquaFlask doesn't sweat doesn't mean that I don't...) I had concerns about the dark finish causing the bottle to heat up, but it hasn't been an issue. The finish did take fingerprints badly until it had been washed a couple of times, but now it seems pretty impervious to them. We haven't babied the bottles, and the finish shows no sign of chipping or scratching. If it does, these are stainless steel bottles and should be very simple to paint.
Some people complain that the bottle is heavy. Perhaps those people missed the fact that this is a DOUBLE-WALL STAINLESS STEEL BOTTLE!!! That means that it's really two bottles, and they're both made out of stainless freaking steel. If you get a light, single-wall stainless steel bottle, you're going to be drinking warm water in 20 minutes, and you're going to have a puddle in your cup holder or wet socks in your pack. If you value a light bottle over cold water, your choices are virtually limitless, and while the AquaFlask weighs more than a single-wall metal bottle, or a plastic or glass bottle, it really isn't "heavy" in the absolute sense. I mean, a very small child could carry this bottle easily, even when it's full. I have hiked with this bottle, and for me the value of having cold water for the duration of the hike far outweighs the few extra ounces to carry.
To get all of this for $25 is an outstanding value. I'm hoping that as the company grows they will offer a choice of colors and sizes, and perhaps even a wide-mouthed, large capacity bottle (see the 64oz growler from Hydroflask for inspiration). If they do, I will buy those as well. That's a measure of how much I love the bottle I have. I simply don't believe that there is another bottle this good at this price.
The BEST water bottle on the market!

First, I have to say that delivery time was phenomenally fast, something I and probably most customers appreciate tremendously. Then... I decided to purchase a good water bottle because I don't drink enough water during my long days at the office. I actually did a fair amount of research into them, too, deciding that if I was going to spend more than the $7 or $8 on the cheaper ones available at department and grocery stores, I might as well spend the higher dollar on one that would prove to be worth it. I read review after review of bottles - or "sippers," as they call them at the office. I read rants, raves, and everything in between; I'd guesstimate they were 60% in between, with rants at about 30%, raves the lowest at the remaining 10%. One rave that came up time and again was for a sipper (I won't mention the brand) favored by celebrities. At nearly $80, however, even if it IS the best sipper on the market, I felt I'd be paying at least $40 of that for the caché and not the true quality. Plus, at $80, it better walk to the water cooler, fill itself, walk back, and magically lift itself from my desk to my lips. What I wanted was a sipper that worked well, keeping my hot coffee hot throughout the morning and my cold water cold all afternoon, and something not overly outrageous visually - no flowers, plaids, or baby animals; something a bit more elegant in style. When I hit upon this AquaFlask, it seemed the exact thing immediately: reasonably priced, not a bit ostentatious, CLASSY, and with excellent reviews, a few of the raves I mentioned earlier. I ordered, and when it arrived a few days later, I was doubly delighted at its size, which I hadn't been able to picture in my mind. It's HUGE, and my afternoon water, still cold-cold-cold when I leave the office for the day, is most days not even completely finished. I'd also ordered a brush cleaning kit specifically designed for sippers. Both arrived the same day, and I happened to open the kit first. It should have clued me in to the size of the sipper, since the primary brush was also HUGE. So, to anyone out there looking for a remarkably well-made sipper at less than half the cost of the "celebrity" model, go with AquaFlask. Trust me, I strongly doubt you'll be disappointed. And to the AquaFlask company, thank you for creating and marketing such a wonderful, wonderful product. I LOVE IT!
Great Alternative to Other More Costly Flasks

I've purchased a number of the Hydroflask units within the past 2 years, some for myself and some as gifts. . . and I've always been impressed with the quality and ability to keep things cold for a ridiculous number of hours. However, I managed to come across the Aquaflask the other day as I was researching a size that Hydroflask didn't offer. I started the 17 Day Diet and have been making smoothies in the morning. The Hydroflask 24 oz was just a little too small to handle what I needed and their 32 oz flask was too thick to fit in my cup holder in the car. This is where the AquaFlask won out. At 27 oz, it was a perfect volume and fit perfectly in the cup holder. Add to that the handle and it was a no brainer. It has kept my smoothie cold just as well as the Hydroflask and I saved about $7 in addition to getting the extra 3 oz that made the difference for me. May sound picky, but I hated having the left overs every time I made my smoothies. Gray is a little boring, but the trade off is worth it. I wish they would have come out with additional colors, but I understand that they haven't quite established the presence of other bigger, more established companies. Gotta start somewhere right? The cap, in my humble opinion is easier to work with than the Hydroflask caps as well. . . .less stress on my hands, .. which are beginning to show some signs of arthritis. Some people have complained about the cap not being tethered somehow. I can see how that would be a nice addition, but it wasn't a deal breaker. I also like the fact that they are an environmentally conscious company. That definitely made some big points with me. If you're on the fence. . .jump, it's a great product and I don't believe you'll be disappointed.

Tried using this bottle for a week and never could get the cap to fit tightly, never leaked but if I grabbed the bottle by the cap it would pop off. I never noticed until I looked closely the cap was indented in the middle of the cap. Now the reason for 5 stars, even with the cap the way it was it was amazing at keeping my water cool forever. Never tried hot liquid so can't say how well it is for that. Also the handle is a great feature. My wife spent twice the amount for swell bottles and this worked as well or better. I am sending mine back and ordering another. I'll update if the next one falls short! Would buy again
Just received my second bottle, been using it for a few days and am very satisfied. The cap works great. As I reviewed above this is a great bottle I got the gray one, like the look and feel of it.
Also got an email from the owner of the company to check if I was satisfied with the new bottle. Nice to see great customer service! I would highly recommend this bottle.
I purchased this bottle, got nothing for this review, just a good product!
It's a sturdy product.....

So far, it's a great product. I have only had it for a couple of weeks but it is keeping my water cold for many hours which was the main purpose of my purchase. I have been unexpectedly rough on this flask too. It has been dropped three times from a significant height, a large rock has fallen on it and now the the cap has an impressive dent in it. I am pleasantly surprised all this rough housing has not compromised keeping my beverages cold. It has also rolled around the bottom of my kayak over the course of two boating trips and there are scratches in the gray matte finish. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because I could not get the color I wanted. Amazon was not able to fulfill the pale green color for me. Truly wanted the pop of color because the darker colors are so masculine. Maybe it is a good thing I didn't get exactly what I wanted since I have been so rough on this flask in such a short time. It looks broken in already!
Machine Oil Taste and Smell
by Sam Oakford (1 out of 5 stars)

Wanted to like this bottle but like others have commented it has a very strong taste and smell of machine oil. My wife has had a HydraFlask for several months and no problems with that at all. I should have purchased the HydraFlask. Now I am left wondering how much I compromised my health after drinking from this bottle for over a week. Ironic when I purchased this bottle for its supposed health benefits. Some of you may be wondering why I didn't notice it right away. Good question, I should have since I did smell something but didn't think it would be coming from the bottle with only water in it. I remember smelling the odor and thinking it was something in the duct work at work and quickly dismissed it. Then I was using it at home one night and there was the odor again. That's when I noticed it was in fact coming from the bottle. I washed it with soap several times and even left it airing out on the counter for a few days. The smell seemed to go away for a little while but then after the water sat in it for a half a day the smell suddenly reappeared. I have since thrown it in the garbage.
Great if you like cold water

Great product. I use it in Nashville TN. I drink a lot of water and needed something to keep water cold in my car. I tested the AquaFlask this summer by putting about a dozen ice cubes in it and filling it with water at about 5am and left it in my car from 8am. to 5pm and it still had ice in it at 5pm even on days where it was 100° outside. My car was parked in the sun in a parking lot. If I was to complain at all it would be that the ice clumps together and when I get home and try and empty the ice it won't always fit out the opening. I just leave it on the counter with lid off and by morning it is usually melted or enough to empty it.
I have not tried it with hot beverages but it should work similar. Stainless is not the best conductor of heat and with a vacuum in-between gives it very little heat transfer capabilities allowing the contents to stay cold or hot.
Awesome bottle but lid has issues - (lid replaced free.) Edit: after two months I have had two more

Edit: I am changing my review from four stars to five, customer service contacted me about my faulty lid and quickly sent a replacement which has not had the issue. I am very impressed with the integrity of this company!
Edit again 11/2/16: down to two stars. We have had two more lids break since buying these bottles at the beginning of August. Out of the original four we now only have one original lid. The first stripped inside and was replaced, the second somehow broke apart inside the lid, causing a huge mess inside my son's backpack, and now this morning when I was washing one I realized water was getting inside it... It's cracked halfway around the inside black plastic. For the price of these things I expected much better quality and I'm very disappointed, did not even last six months.
I love the bottles, we now are up to three of the small and one large, the small ones are perfect and I adore the light mint green color, (it was originally for my son but it's a little girly and I really wanted it for myself so I ordered him the small stainless color) but the lid on the large bottle is already having an issue. The metal part has already seperated from the actual lid making it sometimes difficult to open and close the bottle, you have to squeeze it a little, my husband made the comment that it's like a child-proof cap now.
So far we haven't had this problem with any of the small bottles, I hope we don't because I love them. Every family member now has their own and they keep our ice water cold for a very long time, the handles are very convenient and I love that they don't spill.

Large capacity is a plus. The small mouth prevents adding ice cubes. Condensation is another issue on the outside of the bottle. I've also found it does not keep the water very cold beyond one day. It's definitely warmer, contrary to some other reviews have stated. These are my honest findings with this bottle. I had hoped for better performance but that was not my finding.
