Microwave Steam Cleaner

Product Description

Use steam to clean the crud from your microwave! just add vinegar and water, then microwave for 7 minutes. The steam comes out of mama's head and softens microwave dirt and stains for easier cleaning! to use: first remove Angry mama's hair and head from body, then add vinegar and water to fill lines on the body. Add a squeeze of lemon Juice (or essence) to Liquid for a pleasant odor. Warning: do not overfill or boiling over might occur. Replace her head and hair parts then microwave for 7 minutes on high and allow to stand for 2 additional minutes. Remove Angry Mama from the microwave by her arms, which stay cooler. Use the remaining Liquid on sponge to clean microwave. Caution: hot Liquid! handle with care. Angry Mama is dishwasher safe for easy cleaning.

works semi-ok. the tv commercial shows a steady stream of steam coming out of the top. i don't see it happening. a coffee cup of vinegar/water works just as well if not better. plus the water gets boiling quicker with a coffee cup...

Don't waste your money

I really wanted this product to work...I hate cleaning our microwave...but it simply doesn't. I tried four times and finally threw it in the recycling bin. No steam at all, just a constant drip down the front of her 'dress'. I tried it with the turntable on then turntable off; followed exactly as the directions instructed - zero result; added more vinegar and less water, no result; then more water and less vinegar, no result. Finally had to pull out my stool and scrubber and clean the inside of our microwave the old fashioned way. My recommendation is not to waste your money. Not worth the effort to return either.

I don't know that it's super necessary, but it does work. She steams her head off, hilarious. And it makes things fairly easy to clean. If yours isn't steaming, bear in mind, her hair piece needs to sort of screw on. If you just put it on top of her head without tightening it it will sort of gurgle instead of steaming up through the holes.

Does what it says and is funny at the same time. One suggestion, though: If you are using the cider vinegar/water solution as they instruct, please do yourself a favor and add either a lot of lemon juice or some other kind of liquid scent, because when that vinegar solution gets hot during the seven minutes in the microwave, it seriously permeates a big area and you'll find yourself with irritated eyes. Open a window if you can. But it does such a nice job cleaning the inside of the microwave, it's worth the temporarily altered vision.

Holy Smokes, this thing really works!! My friend got one and I thought it was hilarious. However, it is absolutely perfect for cleaning out the microwave. Ours had a lot of red sauce explosions and one round with this and it wiped clean. And I mean just wiped - no scrubbing at all! It really did make things much easier. I'd recommend this for anyone who hates scrubbing the microwave!

It Kinda Works, but...

The novelty of this item spoke more to me than its claims, and after using it, I can see how some folks become disappointed with it. This is not a total solution to a dirty microwave. Does it really work? Somewhat. Sure, it does let off some steam (some models say run for five minutes, some seven), but you will still need to get in there with a sponge and elbow grease to get the job done. If your microwave is not that dirty, then your result might be better, but if yours is dirty with set-in spills, plan on following up with an old-fashioned cleaning.

I have to refill like twice before it really does anything

There is nothing here that a cup of water, a wet sponge or some vinegar can't do. I thought the idea was cute. However, I have to refill like twice before it really does anything. I would not recommend this. It's much easier to to just wipe out the microwave with a hot rag. Which you have to do anyway, after she "cleans" it. So......

It's a good 6" tall

This was WAY bigger than what I expected! It's a good 6" tall.

I tried it out right away - instructions are conveniently on the box. It works!

My only issue seemed to be that my microwave is a little under-powered, so "medium-high" is apparently slightly higher than the 70% power setting I used - next time I'll try 75% or 80%.

This doesn't steam up anything, like the pictures. A pointless product, other than something to sell and for someone else to make a buck or two. Not necessary to use. No better than just putting the water and vinegar solution in a glass jar and letting it come to a boil in your microwave and then wiping down your microwave. Saw no steam coming from this, as it claims.
