Scale pairs perfectly with both newer iPhone 6S and older iPad Pro 2013/14 via bluetooth. The extensive list of recipes available in the associated app is great for beginners who wish to expand their library of mixed drinks. The scale-app pairing also has its own timer, which measures how long a drink is being shaken in the included shaker. The app's ability to store what items are currently in your cabinet and suggest corresponding drinks is a great touch.

Never experienced technical problems with the scale itself. For those considering whether to buy the 2.0 vs. 1.0 version, I would ask whether the customers highly value counter space. For users in smaller kitchens, a wireless connection may be much preferred over the wired one.

Bought this for my dad's birthday after my mom said he wanted a cocktail shaker with drink recipes engraved on it. Got him this instead and he's super happy with it. It works exactly as advertised and as easily as advertised. It's super quick too so you don't have to wait for it to catch up and sync info. It's real time so you can just pour your next ingredient and the immediately move to the next.

So cool. I can make the "normal" drinks like most people. I wanted to make some fancy custom cocktails that you might not even know existed. The only hang up is that sometimes while starting up the process, the app will tell me that the scale is "unstable" for a few go's. Aside from that, the thing is pretty sweet. I love how you fill your inventory up in the app, and it can make suggestions based off of what you have. One thing that would be even sweeter is if the app had you input how much of say, vodka is in the cabinet. Each ounce taken, maybe a pop up that your running low on something?

This item was shipped in the original, thin cardboard box. The lid was secured with a 2 inch strip of cellophane tape. Looks like everything is in the box. Will see how it works.

Works as expected. I've already made a gin and tonic and a white Russian with this. If I over pour it will tell me to go back and top up the other ingredients for the perfect, albeit larger drink.

If you have this one, than you can use three different apps 'Perfect bake, blend, also drink'.

I recommend 'pro' version, because normal 2.0 hasn't good quality. What is this plastic??

This item is amazing! The instructions are very clear and easy to understand for setting up. Once the compatible app has been installed the tutorial makes it easy for the consumer to connect the device. The pouring is in real time so all over pouring is alerted and the scale is accurate.

This item was a hit at Christmas. Product was as described and is an interesting conversation piece. Everyone really liked the fact that it knew so many cocktail recipes. The phone app made it appeal to the techies in the family.
