Atom Desk Lamp

Product Description

Based on Neils Bohr's Atomic Model. The wires represent the orbits of electrons while a vintage-style bulb at the center glows with a string of tiny LED lights. Black aluminum and glass light is dramatic and wireless so you can put it anywhere. On/off switch on bottom. Takes 2 AA batteries (not included).

Super Cool lamp but needs to be able to plug in

I absolutely love the style of this lamp. I keep it on my desk at work and everyone always compliments it and for some reason has an urge to actually touch the lightbulb. Luckily for them it stays very cool to the touch LOL! The only issue I have with this lamp is that it is battery operated. The batteries will last about 2 weeks, with it being on for 8hrs per day, then they have to be replaced. Would be great if this could be plugged in!

Good idea, poor assembly

The light was unique and as described; however, the bulb was not applied straight and leaned to one side. There was no way to straighten it without breaking it loose from the base. My son purchased one of these and his was exactly the same. A great idea and design but flawed workmanship made this an average purchase.

Cute different and geeky

I bought this because my husband majored in science, worked at a chemical company and is now a science teacher. This is perfect. I've attached pictures with light on and light off with only the tv on. Not bad. Was disappointed it didn't have a plugin option but do like that you don't have to plug it in.

Mine came in fine shape. It's great to start a conversation. And just plain different. Great gift idea. He loved it. Ps. You can see this is in the bedroom across the room

The picture is a bit misleading. There's less lights inside than that. Also, they were all coiled up together inside. I pulled them out and reinserted them so that they were a bit more spread out, and it looks much better. Good product now, I absolutely love it. :)

Very interesting and beautiful piece. Nice "cracked glass" effect on the bulb.

Packaging could have been better as the metal "framing" arrived bent. I had to straighten it out to look symmetrical (not lopsided) when placed on the side table

Used three AA batteries which have a bit of trouble to go in but eventually did.

Pretty cool, but not super great quality. Luckily the guy we got it for is enough of an electrical engineer that he could take it apart and fix the super loose connections.

Tacky

Both me and a family member actually bought this same light for my brother. Both of us (without knowing about the other one) were very disappointed with the quality of this item. First it operates via a on/off switch. You'd think something representing an atom would be more authentic. The light string inside the bulb is tacky and takes away from the product. Both my brother and I (again not knowing about the other person) ended up returning this item.

This lamp is very cool! I am an Electrical Engineer and I wanted something to make my desk standout, and this does that perfectly. It is not very bright, however it is decorative in nature so that should not be a concern. It is made very well. It does not consume a ton of power, as I have been using the same batteries for about 90 hours so far. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a fun decorative lamp.
