Product Description

The GrypMat is a 2x1 rubberized, flexible non-slip material. Designed to give mechanics a reliable location to set tools/hardware on any abnormal surface without worry of sliding tools/hardware or scratching the surface. The GrypMat is a great way to stay organized to avoid lost tools or hardware.

Features

  • No more worrying about tools sliding out of reach, the GrypMat is made from high quality polymers, making it non-slip, non-marring, and anti-static.
  • Mechanics waste time fetching tools and often require a second person to assist them. Save maintenance time with the GrypMat and store your tools securely within arms reach.
  • The surfaces we work on can be curved, angular, or slick, giving tools plenty of opportunity to get away. Sliding or falling tools create a hazard for both personnel and equipment. Using the GrypMat will reduce these hazards.
  • Chemical Resistant

So good, everyone wants them
by Ian M Betts (5 out of 5 stars)

I'm now into buying my 3rd set due to other family members linking them so much, that I lose positive control and they become someone else.

My first large mat in now dedicated to the building of LEGO projects, which it's fantastic for. Sub assemblies or the mini figs can easily be kept in the end wells and the high sides and energy absorption of the mat minimize the loss of small parts when little hands drop them.

For my use cases, motorcycle work, all sizes work excellently. The large usually remains on the bench to hold tools, or larger parts, as it's got too big a footprint to generally rest on the bike during work.

But, that's where the medium comes in. For motos, the medium is a perfect size to place on a seat or tail to collect those fasteners, small part or tools you need to keep to hand while working on specific task.

The small, I don't use as much as the other sizes, but it's still handy. It's good for organizing small parts or in a portable tool box. One small lives in the toolbox I take with me to the track/help out buddies. It's great to have a lightweight item to store small parts in while working out in some paddock area, as opposed to just setting them on the black top, or a shop towel. And as mentioned, the light doesn't weight much, so you're not adding too much mass to what might be a heavy tool box (think mines ~35 pounds) already.

The mats are easy to clean up. I use Marine Clean as my cleaner of choice. Spray down, let soak a bit, wipe off and give a rise if you want to be extra thorough. I've had my oldest mats for a couple years (I was a kickstarter backer) and they still look new after a good cleaning.

I only wish I had this thing 20 years ago!

This tool holder is great and worth the cost - for me anyway. It is grippy, super flexible and the sides are high enough. I also like the four little side pockets to hold screws and nuts. It is a perfect helper for working on my little plane.

I used to use a slab of foam rubber, but things would invariably roll off and once in a while scratch the paint. No more! Not to sound like a commercial, but this would make a great gift for a mechanic type friend.

Great product!!

Saw this on Shark Tank and knew immediately it was the perfect Christmas gift for my father. Yes, it's pricey, but I've never bought anything made of quality silicone/rubber (whatever it's made of??) that isn't on the higher side. Anyway, Dad absolutely loves this. He said over the years he's had a lot of frustration by tools sliding off the towel he'd have on the wing/fuselage while working on his planes. Multiple times now he's complimented me on finding him such a good gift. Grypmat for the win!! :)

Works great for ALS patient with lift chair

I ordered this for my husband to put on the arm of his lift chair to hold the TV remote and his phone. It stays in place even when the chair is in full upright position. It is a life saver as my husband has ALS and has very limited mobility!! We saw this on shark tank and I knew we needed one. Awesome product.

Great product and company

I got a set for my father in law he has Parkinson's disease and always lays a blanket or pad of some kind down so he won't loose things when setting them down or picking them up while working on vehicles. This was a great set for him he really appreciates the fact he has a mat that is made for the work he's doing. When he goes to set the tools or bolts down he doesn't have to worry about them going all over if his shaking has him accidentally bump it. Thank you for making this product.

My Motorcycle Mechanic Friend likes it.
by Linda Puckett (4 out of 5 stars)

I purchased this mechanics mat as a gift for my motorcycle mechanic friend. The mat was smaller than I expected. Yes the dimensions are accurate on the website. It's just that the pictures made it look bigger. In hinesight, I am not sure I would have spent $60 for such a small mat. My friend said he likes it. I need to get more feedback as to what he likes about this and then will update.

Works well.

I bought two of theses for the mechanics that maintain my airplanes and they like them. They're flexible so they bend to the contour of the surface they are placed on, protecting it from damage caused by placing metal tool trays or tools there.

Very functional!

Very functional and useful for containing tools and small parts while working on aircraft, the grypmats sit on the low wing planes I work on and stay put even though the wings are curved, the silicon type material?? doesn't slip or slide off

I have used this on several occasions and was lucky to see it in action at SEMA where it was first revealed. It works great and it is easy to clean. It's also extremely durable.
