Product Description

A PopSockets grip is more than a stylish phone accessory. It’s an opposable thumb for your phone. It lets you take selfies like a pro and share with your circle of fans, friends or embarrassing family members. It lets you text things you may or may not later regret with the greatest of ease. It lets you stand your phone up on an airplane tray table to watch a movie. When you’re done, it collapses flat like your bangs in a rainstorm. PopSockets grips are repositionable and stick to most devices and cases but may not stick to silicone or waterproof materials. The product includes a special 3M adhesive disc for attaching your grip directly to a glass-backed phone. You may also buy a separate “mount” to attach your phone to your dashboard, mirror, refrigerator, air conditioning vent or wherever you snack on content. Mmm…content. And now, a little something for all you specification geeks: Diameter: 1.56 inches, Height: .9 inches when expanded, .25 inches when collapsed. Covered by PopSockets limited warranty. See warranty for details.

Fake. Buyer beware.
by JenMonica7 (1 out of 5 stars)

I'm frustrated to report the Popsocket I bought from here on Amazon was a fake. At first it looked fine, just like the picture. It seemed to stick on my phone with no issue, but in less than 24 hrs it slowly peeled off my phone. Luckily, I was sitting at the time so my phone just dropped into my lap. At first I shrugged it off, thought maybe I hadn't adhered it well enough (although I had cleaned phone first and pressed hard.) I pressed it down again but after that every few hours it would come off again.

I went to my local Walmart and bought the IDENTICAL one, and the one from Walmart is the real deal. It sticks to my phone, doesn't come off, no issues. I've had the Walmart one for a few weeks now and it's still sticking fine.

While at first glance the designs seem identical, the real one came with instructions and had "Designed in Boulder, made in China" and the patent number printed on the base of the Popsocket. The fake one one has "#POPSOCKETS, Patent: popsockets.com, made in Korea."

Bought this for just $5 on Amazon, but wanted to warn anyone who was thinking of purchasing it here. It would be a shame to drop and break an expensive phone/tablet for this. If you are able to buy in a local store I'd recommend that. The real Popsocket is pretty good.

Socket popped off
by Mekjufam (1 out of 5 stars)

While the adhesive is quite sticky and holds well to the phone, the extendable rubber component that holds the disk pops right off when extended, 4 out of 5 times. Within the first week of use, I learned I had to press the socket back into the hole, ritually spin it in place to screw it back on. Kind of defeats the purpose of a convenient phone hold if you need to reattach it after every use.

Not sure if the rubber part is too stiff, requiring extra force when extending, or if the connection between the rubber and adhesive base is too weak but its more trouble than its worth. Got a free pop socket as a bonus from a separate purchase and that worked much better and lasted much longer.

Needs better adhesive

After a week of having this in my phone case it fell off. Since I knew I was not changing my phone case anytime soon and the fact that the popsockets are interchangeable, I decided to go with a more permanent adhesive route. I applied gorilla super glue to the back and have not had any issues since.

Great, while it lasted. Removable, but NOT re-usable.

I loved this Popsocket until it detached from my phone one day, 2 months after I put it on. I wasn't too concerned when it happened because they are advertised at removable and re-usable but it would not stay on my phone when I reattached it. This was really disappointing as I thought I would be able to get far more use out of the product than I did.

Not as pictured, won't stick to silicone case
by JT (1 out of 5 stars)

The colors are definitely not as vibrant as shown in the pic. It's also slightly blurry and not as HD as shown online. I stuck it to a hard plastic case with no problem, but trying to place it on a soft, slightly rubbery, matte case did not work at all. Come to find out after looking it up online that they don't work with silicone cases, which sucks because I like to switch cases if I'm going out and taking a small clutch that requires a slender case to fit inside. This lack of versatility is the main reason for 1 star, popsockets needs to figure out a way to get their products to stick to rubber/silicone!

The Glue isn't great.
by Deni Ritenour (3 out of 5 stars)

I've used two other popsockets before i bought this one and they worked great. For whatever reason, this one has fallen off my phone 3 times. If my phone gets a bit warm (from watching videos for example) the popsockets glue becomes malleable enough to make the entire thing pop off.

Great device grip!
by Kat A. (5 out of 5 stars)

I love the PopSocket! This is the first cell phone grip I've ever used. It's completely resolved the pain I'd developed in some fingers, a result of how I had to hold and grip the cell phone, which as everyone knows are, over time, increasing in size and weight. The PopSock not only makes holding a device more comfortable, it improves the stability of my grip, thus reducing how often I drop it, in addition to reducing the effect of a mild tremor that's developed in my hands. I also love how it can be repositioned on a device. The PopSocket not only provides functional advantages I love how it looks and the many color and design options available to match my case.

this is the most useful little accessory I have ever used on a phone ...

This will be my fifth popsocket I have purchased thus far. I must say, this is the most useful little accessory I have ever used on a phone and I am surprised not everyone has one. Pop sockets will change the way you use your phone for the better. No more dropping your phone on your head while laying in bed or holding your phone awkwardly without support. I reccommend you buy at least two of these things - that way you can use both to prop your phone up to watch movies. I am so happy with this recent purchase and all of my popsocket purchases! Thank you Amazon for carrying my favorite phone accessory! 😀

Love this thing!

I didn't realize how much I needed a Popsocket until I got this. I got this along with the car and adhesive mount that I stuck on the side of my headboard. I have pretty small hands and having a big phone can be a pain in the ass. This thing seriously helps and I've dripped my phone a whole lot less.

GOODASS GRABBY CIRCLES MY GUY. CATCH THAT SALE. CAN I SAY ASS IN THE REVIEW?
by Katie (5 out of 5 stars)
December 21, 2018

I have been kind of religiously swearing by these dang circles. I received the purpley nebula design and it was beautiful. I didn't order a second because I like my phone case and I didn't wanna cover it with grabbies, but I think I prefer having two. Couple reasons: I watch a lot of YouTube videos while I do old lady crafts. Two is sturdier than one in this regard.

Other reason is simple. Bad cables. My biggest pet peeves is the left headphone going out because of wiring. Same with chargers. Cheap phone chargers fall apart if the wind picks up and being able to stabilize the cord by wrapping, stretching and holding just right, it buys me time to order a working one.

However they be expensive my dude. Two of these CIRCLES can be $30 if you like it fresh and classy and functional. First ones I got were Jenna marbles (YouTuber) limited editions with pictures of her dogs. They were cute as hell but DANG my dude. Just tape my phone to my hand it's so much cheaper.

If you catch them on sale? Heck yes.

No? It's cool there's way cute dupes out there exactly the same.

Did I mention the adhesive? Yeah my last pair are still on the phone I left on the hood of my friends car after taking a sharp left, flinging phone into a McDonald's parking lot.

Phone did not survive. RIP in peace.
