My daughter has very thick curly hair that's prone to frizzing. To do a full smooth blowout takes about 45 minutes ... 30 minutes to dry with a round brush, and another 15 minutes or so with a flat iron. She can actually go to bed with wet hair, get up with CRAZY hair that's frizzy and all over the place and with just 10 minutes with this brush, her hair is straight and smooth. I read mixed reviews on these things and was hesitant about buying it, but I'm quite happy with this purchase!

Let me just say now, I bought this product... No discounted rate or anything. I have thick wavy blonde hair that tends to do what it wants. I just used the brush for the first time and I was very impressed and that's hard to do with me and my crazy hair. Before and afters are below. Very happy with it this far!

My new best friend! I'm super lazy with my hair usually so this has been amazing. I have super long, super thick, naturally curly, blue hair that is damaged due to so much bleaching/dying and I can be totally straight in ten minutes. I was afraid this wouldn't work well on me but tried it anyway and so glad that I did. You HAVE to brush your hair out first. Very painful if you don't. Also, you have to take it slow and be sure to run it through the back side/underneath part of your hair too. I would recommend heat protection spray and/or a VERY SMALL amount of coconut oil (size of half of a pencil eraser end for most hair, maybe a full pencil eraser end for super thick, long hair) on the ends of your hair. Don't put it on your roots unless you're into the super greasy hair game and remember coconut oil spreads really well so seriously, don't over do it. Even with nothing though, this straightening brush gives your hair a soft and silky feel after you use it. I LOVE IT!!!!!!

This hair straightener is FANTASTIC! If you have fine, medium length hair then it only takes a few minutes to get the same look that would take me 20 minutes with a conventional straightener. I only need to use it on the lowest setting to get the results I desire and I haven't even had to use the glove. I bought this on a whim and I am not disappointed.

I was skeptical about this, but I have ended up being really happy with this purchase. I have medium thick hair, with a little bit of curl/wave that tends to go every which way. I didn't want to fully straighten my hair because I like having the volume. This is a great product for me to tame down the parts that are a bit out of control, but maintain the volume. If I wanted to fully straighten my hair, I think I could do it with this, but I haven't tried yet. I am very happy with this brush.

I bought this hair straightener thinking it would not work on my hair and was absolutely surprised when it did. I'm African American with thick course hair and this product does make you look and feel like you just got a perm. I recommend that if your doing natural get one of these.

I have two other brush models in the house right now. One I tried to be cheap on and it pulls very bad. I spent twice as much on the other one and loved it. This is comparable to the more expensive brand one my daughter has claimed. It does not pull much at all and is comfortable to use. It works as well as any hair iron brush twice its price. People keep comparing the brushes to the irons and that's just apples to oranges. It takes longer than a flat iron, yes. But it is more user friendly and its easier to add a little wave where you want it for body. This is a great product for the price.

LOVE this item and so thankful I purchased it. It doesn't straighten as perfect as a flat iron, but I knew that from other reviews before purchasing. It does get very hot, so wear the heat protecting glove that comes w/ it and deal the aggravation... it'll save your fingertips from pesky burns.
BEST TIME SAVER for quickly removing frizz and going. I use this more than my flat iron now.

Still getting the hang of it on my daughters very thick and curly hair, but it is MUCH easier than a straight iron and does a much better job of getting the volume under control. It leaves the hair shiny instead of drying it out like a flat iron does. I am also using it on my hair which is only wavy. It gives it professional looking finish.

This is incredible! My 11 year old granddaughter has VERY thick wavy, curly hair. It takes well over an hour to straighten with a flat iron. She tried this for the first time today, doing it herself, and her hair is perfectly straight! She said it didn't take long at all. She loves this Gissls heated brush! And she loves the pretty teal color too!
