Hands down better than the restby GrAnnieSmith (5 out of 5 stars)

I bought the Avegant Glyph video headset for my husband to use with our DJI Inspire 1, last year in Dec 2016.
Our opinion!
Very well thought out product.
When husband is flying the RC QuadCopter (with the Glyph), it's visually better for the pilot than other video display devices that can be used!
Other goggled units we are aware of, block out real life (which in our opinion Glyph offers the best of both worlds). Sometimes the pilot's use of a video display is needed over insight flying, as well as sometimes the pilot needs insight flying over a digital display.
Our experience there's no stress or strain on our eyes switching between piloting with the Glyph and looking at the Inspire to fly it.
The Glyph is our #1 choice for video display with our DJI Inspire 1.
Flying on a sunny day with the DJI Inspire 1, and Glyph doesn't have the problems that tablets have with refocusing from display to actual visual flying of the unit.
Being able to immediately switch from viewing the Glyph screen, to looking around the Glyph headset, for actual visual of the aircraft is important safety factor QuadCopter pilots should consider, when choosing their digital display source for piloting.
Seeing from the QuadCopter's point of view, as a pilot of multiple RC units, cars, boats, planes... is a very nice add to the hobby.
Oh yeah, the Glyphs, they're great headphones and fun to watch videos with too!
If husband took the bus to work like he did, 20 years ago, he said the Glyph would have been awesome for commuting.

Ok so if you want a quick review..IM IN LOVE WITH THE GLYPH
...now longer and detailed review
First the glyph shipped faster than expected ..the box of the glyph looked cool and stylish..inside the box is every thing you need the only problem is and i don't consider it A problem is that it uses micro hd wire ..but its ok as long as it came with it ..also i love the shape of the glyph and the look ..it includes nosepads which really provides support for the nose..the glyph also has 3 brightness levels and the video is soo sharp and clear its only blurry on the sides which is ok unless you play games that require you to look at the edges like gta and COD.. they need to work on ..the sound on this thing is different from any other headphone ..its different the best way to discribe it is that it sounds like your in a theater literally..i also enjoy watching 3D movies i got so excited when i knew that it had 3D which is somthing i didnt read in the description
If you're looking for a mobile theater, I'd recommend a Glyph.

I travel a lot, so I was excited to get the Glyph. I haven't flown with it yet, but I've tested it watching movies and listening to music at home. So far, so good. I get dry eyes watching TV, but no eye soreness with the Glyph which is dope. I've worn the headphones a bit with my roommate cooking or making a smoothie. I can hear him, but it's super muffled. They wrap well around my ears and should sound nice even on a plane.
If you're looking for a mobile theater, I'd recommend a Glyph.
Awesome

PROS - Awesome picture quality

PROS
- Awesome picture quality. The technology is super impressive.
- Sound quality is also great; they work really well in headphone-only mode
- The ability to see above/below helps for spatial awareness - it's not as consuming as VR headsets. Truly, it's just like having a big-screen TV in front of your face with the ability to see/feel your surroundings. I can watch a show while folding laundry or keeping an eye on my kids.
CONS
- The lens adjustments needed to get a clear picture can be difficult and time-consuming
- It can get heavy after a while; I need to lean my head back on something after a half-hour or so
You also look kinda silly while wearing it, but that is a given considering the category. Overall it's a really cool device that I imagine will only get lighter in weight and easier to adjust in future iterations. Fun product, great start.

besides I cant quite get the eye alignment just right, and it is very painful on the nose. must use cushion. the right projector stopped working, its less than a year old. with light usages. when all is working properly, t does have a really good picture.

I LOVED these at first, I bought them when they first came out. Since phones and apps have updated the tech hasn't kept up and nearly none of them work with the Glyph. Such a waste of almost $500.
Great clarity of image but weight is a factor

Great clarity of image, much better than I expected. But the unit is heavy on the nose. I'm good for a couple of hours before it's break time.
very good

Nice leap forward in video headset design!
The video quality is outstanding, and I definitely find that this new tech reduces eye fatigue and the need to re-adapt to the real world when I take it off.
They provide better peripheral vision than many alternatives which I think is a plus, although many people knock them for being less "immersive". I can actually look down at my device to see my finger on the controls. I have only used them briefly for quad-copter piloting, but they absolutely ROCKED for that application.
My wife, who uses it while co-sleeping with our toddlers in a dark room, wishes there was a lower brightness setting. Late at night, with snuggly boys at her sides, a dimmer setting might help soothe her to sleep rather than keep her awake.
I am excited about this new tech. I like this version, but I bet better stuff is coming from Avegant!
